The Goggles 3 are the best DJI has ever released. From the way they fit perfectly, to the incredible optics which allow to see everything in great detail. I'm very happy with them. Great overview Billy, and thanks for sharing.
Except they have a shorter diopter range. And they fit… ok, but not great. And the front facing cameras are useless. And compatibility is subject to DJI and their fickleness. But other than that giant list, yeah, they’re great 🙄
Hi, Billy. Thank you for the comparison(s) ~External Cameras: Sacrifice the front camera view of the Goggles 3 and offer an option you can lift the Goggles up and just see what's in front of you while the head strap stays in place. ~Pictures & Picture: Offer option to swap views. Small screen to see what is in front of your face and the large display to see what the drone sees. ~Rubber Seal: An option of a foam insert to remove the thin rubber for a little cushion would be a real plus. When I am using them I can see the thin rubber on the outer part of my eyes and it's pretty annoying when flying. ~Strap & Battery: Make the strap a little longer for those of us with big heads also, giving us an option to swap batteries again like we could with the Goggles 2, just not as sloppy with the wires and junk we have to wrap around the straps.

Same blunder from DJI over and over, every time they release goggles or drones. Another unfortunate mistake is not providing video input. Well for me one whole side is wasted because I am blind in my left eye. That being said I am able to adjust the right side to an acceptable focus so that I can see and fly without issue.

As I do not have an Avata ( only a Mini 4 Pro) I had install the latest firmware using my the fly app on my phone. I had a lot of problems connecting the phone with a standard USB data cable. The locking diopter adjustment is sooo much better than the Integra. These goggles are sadly the best ones DJI has made , with the goggles 2 being just behind.
Time and again, DJI has made their new releases incompatible with all previous DJI products. No disrespect, but what makes you think this will change in the future? I'm dying to purchase the DJI Mini 4 Pro, but i don't need the entry-level level controller that comes with that drone. Not to mention, the entry-level Mini 4 controller does not work with any of their newer products that I have purchased.... probably less than a year ago. I have the Mavic Air 3 also, so I don't need to pay the additional cost for the entry-level level controller that comes with the Mini 4 Pro... you know what I mean? lol. I love all your videos BTW and thanks for taking the time to put together the great resource of information provided on your site :)
As a foot note. About the only time that DJI went out of their way to make one of their products backward compatible was with their $1200.00 RC controller....at that time it was the only controller available by DJI that had a built in monitor/screen. Thankfully, their new controllers today are affordable comparatively.
Can you please explain to me where exactly is the spot on googles that with double tap you can switch in real view???Already two days i'm trying to find it.....but no results!!

The fit of Goggles 3 are excellent and FOV should work right for most eyes and faces. DJI finally got it right getting eyes closer, and the design allows for some flexibility to fill-in with the foam sleeve if necessary, since the forehead-pad acts as support. However, I think it's a shame that so many initial reviews of Goggle 2 a couple years ago were silent about the original optics and comfort... I'm talking about the the ones with the red marks on their nose/face but glossed over it - you know who you were! 😉 With how much experience DJI has in the field it is surprising that it took them 3 iterations to get here, but I guess the third time's the charm.
Hi Bill I really love your videos. I watch them all the time and learn a lot thank you. I have a quick question. How do I download videos I take from my goggles 3 ? I set my Avata2 to record both Drone SD Card and Goggles to record but only my drone so card records and not my goggles 3 . My settings are correct and I have so cards in both. Nope. No video input. They make this same mistake over and over, and Apple of course did too by making a $3500 video-display device with no video input.

Very dissapointed by this product. I own an Air 3 and bought the goggles for it because DJI claims they are fully compatible, only to find out that you cannot use the 3x camera when using the goggles. You are limited to the 1x camera. So I bought a useless product. This guy is ridiculously sponsored by DJI 🙄. How can you celebrate their ecosystem when they are not even compatible with their own line of drones, like the FPV Original AU and the O3 Air Unit or Avata 2? Lol.
I will not upgrade to the goggles 3 until DJI makes the "VISION ASSIST" available! Come on DJI...the goggles where you REALLY need this functionality! Just a thought, but maybe they're concerned it might negate the requirement for a spotter. Let's hope not.
Looked at and wont buy for 4 reasons. 1. lack of vision assist. 2. lack of interchangeable antenna 3. crap tastic limited -2 diopter correction. 4. stated limited support. DJI state will be only supported till 2026.
WOW ! I had to rewind and replay it 2 times he really said , most excited about the ecosystem blah blah DJI in general being able to use anything I want with any drone I want 😂😂😂 seriously bro ? Might want to add aslong as you don’t keep anything for more than 2 years. The DJI FPV ecosystem is pretty damn small in general and I can’t use my v1 goggles and remote with the fucking 1 . 2 . 3ed gen camera ???? Seriously!? It blows my mind they can’t keep everything in their own system compatible, that’s like buying an iPhone14 and it can’t make calls to an iPhone 15 before your even done paying off the thing because the 15 makes clearer calls , and they couldn’t allow the new update to handle a worse connection so good luck
DJI is just a making money machine, and we are just getting addicted to technology, this is really unacceptable that I have brought the Avatar so I can use Googles2 that came with it to fly my Mini Pro3 but not with the RC2 only the RC-N1 using my Iphone but no Googles2 when with just an update DJI could make them talk to each other. I love flying my drones but do not take everyone for a fool.
Well, if it's so easy, why don't you go ahead and code that "update"... There's a lot going on in the system that you don't understand. It isn't about DJI being "evil" or whatever.
DJI is going VR with googles
What you mean because this us a big downfall with 3 no tv link or vr do you think they be an update for this ?

No, I have Googles 3 and there crap compared to my Quest 3, it's a shame the Quest can't be used to fly rc drones.
Looked at and wont buy for 4 reasons.
1. lack of vision assist.
2. lack of interchangeable antenna
3. crap tastic limited -2 diopter correction.
4. stated limited support. DJI state will be only supported till 2026.
Crap...need a FC to give arm signal
First!
Billy Kyle isn't taking out the time to respond nor answer people's questions. Booo!👎
They have nothing to lose as evidenced by the fact that the Goggles 3 does exactly what you're bitching about. If it was purely about money, the Goggles 3 wouldn't be usable with the RC2 and the Air 3/ Mini 4 Pro.
@@londenard Pure Conard, It seems you are one of the Addicted, This is their systems and Yes they have full control over their coding, I know what I am talking about, you are just being the penny advocate 😂.
@@tesimpamonami9188 Right... I don't know anything about drones... Hahaha!
@@tesimpamonami9188For one, you cannot even write a proper sentence... but onto the facts.. don't cry that you didn't inquire before making your purchases... different systems, different hardware and coding. You didn't investigate before purchases.. that's on you.
@@carlose6010 I see, this one is a Grammar teacher .... I was just making a point, Conard, I speak more languages than you would in two lifetimes. You are to dumb to understand my point case close.
"confortability" ? Where you learn english for that to be correct? LOL
So they're trash
Goggles 2 design is so ugly. And now with goggles 3 I can't even describe it, really awful.
Stop crying
Dji goggle 3 is piece of crap ? First problem is :your eyelashes touching the lens and loss focus . Second problem is : fog up so easy, even with your goggle fan on . The third problem is : goggle gets overheat and battery drain very fast with fan on .
for the first problem: you can insert the extra padding included. the rest are true. plus i still dont know how to use the 3x lend with the google.
Thank you for your comment
Use an auxillary battery with a cable. They are balancing from, fit and function. If they put a gigantic battery on it it would just be heavy and gangly. Completely make sense to me for them to cut the battery back and allow you to use a battery pack you can clip on your belt or what have you like in the old days. Not really an issue to me but to each his own. Cheers
