Love the animal theme. Just been watching fox cubs playing (wish not on the road)and v relieved to see their mum as they've been pottering around on their own in the day so perfecting their survival skills😍I got Chameleon after using up my sample quickly and it was because it made me happy! Great reviews and impressions❤
Really enjoyed this review! Can't wait for the full impressions. Just got my dodo and chameleon samples in today. I only tried chameleon, and it's perfect for the hot humid weather here in Florida. And it has my favorite dry down, a cozy musk-- close to the skin, about 5 hours later I noticed it. I like moth so much I would have a full bottle, if it were cold often enough 😅 The sweet dark tones are nice for a feminine Gothic aesthetic. I enjoy animalic ones from zoologist very much, but find them too masculine for myself. They really are works of art 💜
Of those ones I have only tried TRex which is by Gardoni and I got through the smoky resinous cade accords, the rose coming through. It was super strong and lasts all day for sure and I quite liked it but would not want a FB. Of others I tried so far I quite liked Panda 2017 (did not like Elephant as too green).
I so want the next zoologist release to be "whale" and have an ambergris, salty, fresh vibe yet somehow huge and not light and airy. A total contradiction. But also by doing a dinosaur they might have mammoth in the works, no matter whar it's fair to say I'm keen for what's to come!
great video, I love first impressions and the conceptual vibe of Zoologist! I really want to get hold of Moth. Did you see anything about their upcoming fragrance at esxense? They posted a picture of the sea on their instagram the other day with a teaser saying "lets descend >> mesopelagic zone" and I damn near wet myself. I hope it's dark and dank as all hell lol.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the final drydown of Dodo which didn't work for me. I loved the moist feathery stuff but once that was gone, it was a familiar dislike I'd smelled in other fragrances. I'm tempted to get T-Rex just so I can wear it around town during California wildfire season like Daenerys on the rampage.
Nice video. I loved dodo, sort of a new style barbershop scent. T-Rex disappointed me because for me the Cade overpowered everything else. It’s so easy to overdose Cade or Birch Tar
The Cade is way too strong for me too, I wouldn't wear it.. I think i'd have preferred it if it was balanced more with the fir and pine, more green notes, rather than the florals.. I don't picture T-Rex with flowers
The only one I've tried is T. Rex. Honestly, I don't like the opening, but after an hour or so it does actually dry down into something quite wearable and nice. The way it changes from the opening to the dry down makes it very unique, definitely fits the name T. Rex. Like you, I just don't think its very wearable. You'd have to spray it an hour or two before, to get to the good part. I'd still like to see you do a full review of it. I'm most interested in Chameleon, I'd consider getting a sample of it in the near future. Dodo, maybe. Moth, idk. Hyrax, not at all.
I'm always interested in this house. They have very creative briefs that feels niche. I haven't found any that i love yet but i'm still interested in their concepts.
I haven’t tried a lot from Zoologist, of the ones I have Moth is my favorite. I’d love to get your take on that. I haven’t tried Hyrax, though I want to, but from what I’ve heard I thought you would be completely put off by it...it must not be as bad as some say.
I wouldn't have said you can't make an accord of it, you can always make an accord of something if you're good enough. I just don't know of any singular material that smells like Mango... natural or synthetic, but I am sure one exists, I just don't know it personally
Hey, Is there any lightning in your perfume cabinet/closet/shelf. And if yes, doesn't that make perfume bad faster? As I have heard that light and heat is bad for your perfume, and will make it go bad faster? Thank you! Great video!
The only drydown of chameleon to me is the fact they made a reptile to be fruity and happy and not cold and instinctive. Is like a pet chameleon or comfortably sitting in corel draw loading. There is no daring but I think is more about the tropical vibe than the animal itself. I'd find Zoologist perfumes more interesting if they played a bit more with the user instead of situating the user in the reality they're ok with. A little daring I know. Not everyone wants this kind of experience with perfume and it might be harder to sell too. I Just would find more interesting if the wearer experience was less anthropocentric and the character of the animals were slightly more highlightened in the notes. Which is something they already can do sometimes.
On paper, Moth sounds intriguing. When I tried it on my skin I actually physically wretched 😂 not many fragrances have garnered that reaction from me but this one I found to be quite foul on me!
@@FragranceView some people absolutely love it but it just didn't work for me. I have a feeling it'll smell perfectly normal (well, as normal as Zoologist can get) on you!
Well that was nice of you *and* him wasn't it? I distinctly remember the two of you having a heated exchange in the comment section once upon a long time ago... I think you said he "stinks," and he said you "stunk"...or something like that. ;)
Victor ? yeah, there was a little clash a while ago... I don't hold grudges, we don't see eye to eye on giving negative reviews to perfumes, he's looking at it through the eyes of an independent brand owner of course. We also have a different view on certain materials used in perfumery too. I respect what he does though, his brand is important for indie perfumery.
Appreciate uniqueness in perfumery so Zoologist is a big win for me 👌
Great to get your take on these.
Cheers fella

I have both MAAI and MEM which are both glorious (Gardoni)

I've been hoping for a dark salty ocean fragrance too! A dapper Orca would be nice 😎
So interesting, can't believe I haven't tested anything of theirs yet. I am fascinated by their concept. Great video. Thanks!
Thank you

He showed us quite a few new ones for the next few years worth, including the sea creature, can't really give anything away though!
@@FragranceView you lucky bugger! Can't wait to see what it is, the deep sea has so much promise as a concept!
Haven’t got a chance to try this House. Heard Panda is a good one. I think easy to wear as well. Enjoyed the vid ✌🏻
Cheers!

I'll see how it goes and do a review! thanks! the wild fires over there are a bit scary
Appreciate this Peter. Had a feeling that chameleon would be the most appealing of the bunch. Would love to see a full reivew of Dodo.
Cheers!

Another fantastic first impression video on one of the more exciting houses out there atm

Same for me, nothing I would buy personally... but I find it interesting

Hyrax might be worse on skin... from paper, it's not so bad
FragranceView you should give it a go on skin and let us know.
I’m not usually into fruity scents but the “happy chameleon” comment has me wondering if I should give it a go.
hey Peter! Will you ever do showcase of perfumes that you own/wear? Maybe you already did I just cant find it..cheers!
any of my seasonal videos, are all picks that I wear myself and own
@@FragranceView cool, thanks!
Thanks. Is Chameleon a suntan lotion-ish scent? Thanks for the review.
That monkey on your T-shirt is having a good time. :)
Chameleon, Dodo, and Moth all sound interesting to me. Thanks for another great review!
I bought it while I was in Bali, thanks!
I just started watching. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting review. :)
Cheers Daniel
i remember asking you about mango on one of your blending videos and you told me you didnt believe mango was an actual accord. lol. hyrax scares me.

moth sounds nice. do you like tokyo milk? just ordered t rex sample.
Never tried tokyo milk
Sounds great mate 👏👍
Thanks
Can you take us on another journey of you making a fragrance?
One day
Dodo...my cat s called dodo..definitely the best in my opinion..I love animals...and your description is awesome like always..xoxo!!!🤗
Thanks Claudia!
@@FragranceView don't mention it!!!😉

It's an LED strip, but no, it's fine.. natural day light is what damages perfume, a soft LED for a few hours in an evening has no effect
These sound too conceptual for every day use except Chameleon. But I wouldn’t mind trying them out.
Great impressions.
I would agree, thank you

It's a balance of what will make a business work, as well as the creative aspect
Great video! I love Zoologist.
Thanks!
Uh Hyrax sounds like fun!
Moth Sounds like my type
Apparently I'm a little corky ... & I'm fine with that n.n
On paper, Moth sounds intriguing. When I tried it on my skin I actually physically wretched 😂 not many fragrances have garnered that reaction from me but this one I found to be quite foul on me!

Yes, I've seen him jump in hot water on different channels.. He'd be better off avoiding getting involved. Never looks good.
FragranceView there is a Victor Wang out there saying mean things and he has a panda avatar icon too
That's not a good look, I'd report the channel and try get it banned, so people don't mistake it.
I think I am a Dodo. Lovely animals connected with perfumes, for us who loves animals. Sounds nice and interesting, quite original👍 Thanks😊
