My favourite when it comes to Goetia/demonology decks is Occult tarot. There's nothing but a demon's image on the cards and it does require an entry level knowledge to understand the messages but it's great, in my opinion.
@@WickedMoonlight1 I can also say that it doesn't require to use reversals because when you know and understand the demon depicted on the card (there are a few sentences that characterise said demon below the image) you can also understand both sides of the message. I hope I'm explaining things correctly🤣 Anyway, I would love to see your review of the Occult tarot🖤

Cool idea! Dark decks that are glossy are kind of hard for me to like. Thank you Natasha… I was in particular disappointed with the Cthulhu Tarot, especially given HP Lovecraft’s wonderful writing. I did realise it was a pip so I decided to skip it.

Oh no, I didn't see that. That makes more sense. I have no problem with purchasing art for a deck if it makes sense with the cards energy and is cohesive. ❤️
Practice with regular playing cards first, for practical and economical reasons. I have to add that I have known how to shuffle like that for forty years, since my father’s shuffles intrigued me so, but I do not use it for my tarot & oracle cards. Perhaps because my first decks were of a large, thick and lovely quality, but also because I love and respect them too much. It’s not really needed, but I’ll see. Hello Wicked Moonlight just to let you know i have today uploaded a VR to your top 5 disappointing decks video. Ive linked your video in my comments. My channel is only 6 months old and its the 1st VR and top 5 of anything ive done so hope its all ok. 🙏❤
It's very disappointing that the Cthulhu deck's book did not give context for why each image was chosen. Even for those that have read a lot of HP Lovecraft and other Lovecraftian works, having the context I think would be very helpful. It is also a shame about the pips. Lovecraft lore is extremely rich. There would be more than enough characters and creatures to fill out the minors too in my opinion
The Cosmo tarot REALLY pisses me off. I'm already not a fan of collages and photograph-like decks, and then they absolutely MANGLE the whole thing....... 100% cash-grab!
@@WickedMoonlight1 On a more positive note, I've recently seen a deck that TOTALLY reminded me of you: the Weird Cat tarot!!! Definitely check it out if you haven't, cause it's SO YOU 😭💖
I really like the look of the fairy tale deck. Do you think that the characters could be from Korean Fairy tales? I also really like the cosmo tarot, it really reads well for me. I totally get it when guide books or little books don't give alot of information. It seems to be a trend that creator's want you to read their decks intuitive, which can be a challenge when you it is a quirky system and you don't understand the creator's mindset. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
I have several Cthulhu decks. I only collect Tarot decks as art objects, so large cards are wonderful from this perspective. I am saddened about it being a pip deck, but I knew beforehand, so it was no surprise, or disappointment. Personally, I always make sure I see the cards before I buy them. I rarely get unpleasantly surprised. The Cosmo deck is definitely unique: Uniquely bad. I would never spend money on such an aberration. It is an insult to all, readers as well as collectors.
I see it once and again. I honestly have the impression that some tarot authors either never read tarot themselves or they did not get a good education, or both. Some new authors just seem to choose whatever image they find on their Internet browser and use them randomly on their cards. It is impossible for anyone with a minimum general cultural knowledge or knowledge of imagery to work with those non sense cards. I know I am not being diplomatic, but it is high time to say it. That deck in the fucsia coloured packaging, with a colour combination that combines like a lion and lettuce... And those a cards with images that look like "let's play":take the first image that appears on internet". If the author ever reads this, I am open to a conversation on why I think she should acquire some cultural knowledge instead of gathering symbols randomly...and in case she does have some general knowledge.. We'll it doesn't come across.
I think you're being too hard on the Cosmo tarot. I agree 100% that it could be way better for new readers but I think an experienced reader can definitely read with it. The symbolism is minimal but it's there. And really the deck is no worse than a bunch of other minimalistic decks that are praised to high heaven in the tarot sphere just because they're different and they are completely unreadable if you don't already know the meaning of the cards. The Wooden Tarot, the Tarot of Bones, and The Hidden Water Tarot are prime examples. The Cosmo tarot is more readable than all 3 of them because the meaning is there, even if it's not screaming at you. I think the fact that they used eyes, hands, etc, is turning people off more so than anything else.
The ONLY deck I work with is the Ryder/Waite/Coleman-Smith deck. Virtually ALL other decks are to me are varying degrees of BAD COPIES of this Original Powerful Deck. Tarot is a TOOL to Divine AETHERIC or Spiritual messages. If you look at the R.W.C deck you will notice the placement of GOLD in the artwork. As well as that the colours used are very specific to convey messages. The hero of all Tarot is Pamela Coleman-Smith the Artist who Created this wonderful Work of Art. To me was Divinely Guided. She died in poverty with very little other work being painted. It was her gift to Humanity and I will always be grateful for Her input into this Tarot creation. Remember each card is a hierogliph having infinite potential meanings depending on the structure of the spread. To give tarot cards a one word meaning is to reveal the readers ignorance. The most misunderstood card that I have witnessed on observing youtube readers is the 3 of Swords. I cringe when the reader mouths off their ignorance about this very powerful card. Hint...the clues about its meaning will be found by contemplating THE EMPRESS and it's polar opposite THE DEATH CARD. Anyway I am happy irrespective of all this that people are enjoying Tarot as it is a passion of mine. TAROT = TAROSH = "THE WAY OF THE KING". The KING for me is The SOVEREIGN SOUL CREATING THEIR UNIQUE CREATIONS ON MOTHER AERTH. (WORLD).
LOL That #1 though. 💯 That is the worst deck I have ever seen in my life. Cosmo could have done so much better and should have done so much better. They should have done better research and actually hired someone who reads tarot to consult on their deck creation to put the best out there for their brand. Instead they put out garbage and pretty much made a mockery of tarot. Funnily enough the author of the Good Karma tarot works for Cosmo. They could have asked for her advice to put a better deck out. 🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀ Never in my life would I spend $30 CAD for that nonsense.
That level of shallowness is exactly what I'd expect from a deck made by Cosmopolitan magazine. What a terrible idea for a tarot deck. Of course it sucks.
I wonder 🤔 would would anyone want to make a deck.. If they did not feel like making it at all?. Pic decks, ramdom images.. lack of consistency, not even choosing sthetically pleasing colours.. I find it good that many authors and editors try to keep a customer friendly price.. But it is not friendly if they are selling questionable quality.
That Cosmo Tarot is just disrespectful. There was no love or passion put into it, just an empty product born from greed, misinformation and consumerism.
The Cosmo Deck looks like a cynical cash grab. Which looks like a terrible decision -- they might have increased their readership with an excellent deck, instead they insulted some readers.
I am not too familiar with Asian cultures but I met a few Coreans and even shared an apartment with a Corean for a long while.. And I think that deck might be meant for younger people but also.. It calls my attention that right now there seems to be a "cultural" movement which encourages adults to behave like small children in the way they dress and speak. I forgot the name, apparently in Japan has been a fashion for years, that many women dress and speak as if they were 12 years old. And their main stream culture has unfortunately been ignoring the richness of their history and tradition in favour of a cartoonized world. So, yes, might be for younger people.. Or for main stream 30s or 40s year old "modern" Coreans. If the author is young.. Then he/she may not even have a clue about western fairy tails, he/she may think it is something like "Dragonball". Let's asume they are young and never lives in the west.. And there you have the answer :they don't even know what a fairy tale is.. They just probably translated the Corean word for "cartoon story".
Can you guess the 5 decks before I do? List your predictions in the comments!

I think the fact that they used eyes, hands, etc, is turning people off more so than anything else.
I backed the Cthathulu dark arts tarot on kickstarter and I still haven't received it yet. 😔 So I'm already sad with the deck.
Oh no! Wow. That is very disappointing. I am so sorry
TAROT = TAROSH =
"THE WAY OF THE KING".
The KING for me is The SOVEREIGN SOUL CREATING THEIR UNIQUE CREATIONS ON MOTHER AERTH. (WORLD).
I love this respectful roast sum up of decks you were disappointed in this year. lsdkfsdf

😸24:28 _what, what, what, what_ I had the very same reaction!
😅😅😅 I'm glad we had the same thoughts. Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
Never in my life would I spend $30 CAD for that nonsense.
👏👏👏👏
but now do the best deck tarot release in 2021
oh its coming! along with Oracle decks!
@@WickedMoonlight1 this is a fantastic news! i'm waiting
Stop moving your hands so much before you open the cards it’s annoying
That level of shallowness is exactly what I'd expect from a deck made by Cosmopolitan magazine. What a terrible idea for a tarot deck. Of course it sucks.
I wonder 🤔 would would anyone want to make a deck.. If they did not feel like making it at all?.
Pic decks, ramdom images.. lack of consistency, not even choosing sthetically pleasing colours..
I find it good that many authors and editors try to keep a customer friendly price.. But it is not friendly if they are selling questionable quality.
Cosmo Tarot had so much potential. 😔
It really did. Ugh. It haunts me.
Agree with you on these deck. They are all a big NO for me.
Cthulhu is pronounced more like Klohl-oo
That Cosmo Tarot is just disrespectful. There was no love or passion put into it, just an empty product born from greed, misinformation and consumerism.
❤
The Cosmo Deck looks like a cynical cash grab. Which looks like a terrible decision -- they might have increased their readership with an excellent deck, instead they insulted some readers.
No. 1 looks so bad
That Cosmo one is so ugly lmao
I'm happy to say, I don't have any of these, lol
❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
It's funny that you have to make trillion disclaimers just to say honestly that you simply don't like some shit.
i have to cover all my bases
@@WickedMoonlight1 I do understand that, thanks for great video!
That could be.
