After watching some of these videos and remembering this music I started looking up the Sylvester documentaries and watching older performances him, and back in the day I did not appreciate his slower music, and listening to these now and realizing just what a talented man we lost , I started crying . It took me all these years to find out his talent went way beyond only the Disco music that I played and loved at the time , now tho I am reliving my past with Sylvester only this time I am including every song I can find . Also want to say THANK YOU to the wonderful young men who put together the Broadway show Fabulous about Sylvester and what a talent Anthony is ,he really embraces what Sylvester was about.

I was 6 yrs old when this song came out. I must admit Sylvester *CONFUSED ME* as a little girl. I was too young to understand, so there were *A LOT* of questions I asked my oldest sister concerning him. One thing I wasn't confused about was the music. I loved it from the 1st time I heard it & I still love it! Whenever I wanna get my party on, I put it on & *dance in the Disco Heat* 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂! Lived in SF back then , I was with a great guy then , who has passed. He worked with Paul Parker. We got to know sylvestre and patrick, they were all so talented. Miss those days a lot. SF was the greatest place in the 1970 and 1980.
The guy with the Red pants & funny hat is "Shabado- Adolfo Quinones" from the "Breakin" movies 1 & 2, he was married to Lela Rochon actress (Waiting to Exhale, Boomerang..etc) they divorce after 3 years. This song features 2 tons of fun (Martha Wash & Izora Armstead) listen closely and you can hear them, Martha's voice is unique an strong, pulled up this song on a Dick Clark episode and you can see them in action. This song was also a staple to the years of Disco, I got to see Sly at the Red Parrot in NYC on the westside...I had no idea until he came out...and what a show !!! Gone but not 4gotten. When I say this I at a club before he was a big star I knew he was going be great. It was a dance club and everyone in that club was trying to jam the dance floor. When this guy preformed at the Opera House in San Francisco with a fur coat on I still can't believe he did that. What a great entertainer we will miss him, but somewhere he is still singing those great Disco songs.
I remember in high school being out all night at the Chez Paree in Atlantic City on New York Avenue and dancing to a 30 minute version of this song on the dance floor and not leaving the club until sunrise.

I was out in the clubs in Atlantic City when I was in high school and remember the extended plays of this song at the Chez on New York Avenue just before Casino gambling was made legal in Atlantic City. Then when I moved in to NYC in June 1982 they played this song a lot at Studio 54 and Limelight and Private Eyes and the Underground and The Palladium and Uncle Charlies and The Monster. There would be 30 minute or more remixes of this song and we all loved it and stayed on the dance floor for hours and hours. We would stay in the clubs until sunrise and then go to school or go to work with no sleep in us at all. Those were the days!

Lived in SF back then , I was with a great guy then , who has passed. He worked with Paul Parker. We got to know sylvestre and patrick, they were all so talented. Miss those days a lot. SF was the greatest place in the 1970 and 1980.

When I say this I at a club before he was a big star I knew he was going be great. It was a dance club and everyone in that club was trying to jam the dance floor. When this guy preformed at the Opera House in San Francisco with a fur coat on I still can't believe he did that. What a great entertainer we will miss him, but somewhere he is still singing those great Disco songs.

I was out in the clubs in Atlantic City when I was in high school and remember the extended plays of this song at the Chez on New York Avenue just before Casino gambling was made legal in Atlantic City. Then when I moved in to NYC in June 1982 they played this song a lot at Studio 54 and Limelight and Private Eyes and the Underground and The Palladium and Uncle Charlies and The Monster. There would be 30 minute or more remixes of this song and we all loved it and stayed on the dance floor for hours and hours. We would stay in the clubs until sunrise and then go to school or go to work with no sleep in us at all. Those were the days!
