Just bought this the other day. I have 20oz travel mug so I put in a little over 4 cups of water and it’s always ready for me first thing in the morning. I use Peet’s major dickasons right now so it recommends a lot more grounds than other coffee brands but somehow the basket hasn’t overflowed yet.
Really impressed with it especially cause it only costed me 20 bucks at target!

I have this coffee maker got it at a thrift store for 5 bucks. Purchased a stainless steel filter on Amazon and Wala! My only negative is it doesn’t quite make 5 cups. I have to top it off.

As much as I try to like decaffeinated coffee....I just find it is void of any flavor......no matter what roast or brand. Regardless of that ... nice video just the same

using it out of the box? I just bought one and regardless of how much I wash it, or let just water cycle through it, the coffee taste like plastic leaching in there. And the steam that comes up when I open the lid also smells like warm plastic
Can you recommend a coffee maker around this size that has a thermal carafe?
Cuisinart makes a 4 cup with a thermal carafe, but its not double wall insulated, but the coffee maker works great. ua-cam.com/video/4N8rInvm12M/v-deo.html

My question is this: Is this coffeemaker worth the extra $35 that it costs over the Walmart brand (Mainstays)? Is there an advantage other than having the “set ahead” timer and the auto-shutoff?
No not really
Well, I've had 2 mainstays pots that crapped out pretty quickly; one lasted about 4 months, the other about 6 months. I bought this one about 2 months ago; so far so good. I would be pretty cautious with the Mainstays coffee pots. Although I didn't see that this pot was $35 MORE than the Mainstays; I paid less than $25 for mine, including tax.
