A nice trick to avoid using ice cubes and diluting the coffee is actually freezing coffee in a ice tray and using the coffee ice cubes as the ice in the frappe
That is a great trick. Back in the day, I was a Tupperware demonstrator. We had ice cube trays with lids so nothing spilled and they stacked better. One of my managers used to make iced cubes for coffee, lemonade, kool aid, etc. then put them in baggies in the freezer in the garage. She had a pool and 3 teens. they could use the ice cubes for whatever they were drinking and nothing ever got diluted by plain ice cubes. It was brilliant! I am not sure they still sell those or not. if they do, it is a good investment. nothing spills in your freezer :-)
While your video is super helpful I learned a lot about the system that I didn't know I've learned to make my coffee the evening before and place it in the refrigerator to chill so the ice melts less and creates a thicker frappe

Awesome! I have the old Mr. Coffee Cafe Frappe and have used it for years. It's been discontinued now for years, and I've been worried about what's going to happen when it dies. Good to see that Mr. Coffee is showing love to Frappe fans again! Thanks for the detailed video! By the way - I use flavored liquid coffee creamer instead of milk, that way you can avoid worrying with the xanthan or even the syrups, and also get more flavor and thickness than milk.
...also, I have found that the plastic disposable cups you get from the coffee shops work better than insulated cups when it comes to frappes. The insulated cups keep the ice from melting, which sounds good...except when you get to the end, you have flavorless ice on the bottom that won't go up your straw. Try to find a tall cup that's not insulated so the blended ice melts as you drink it and you get no ice on the bottom. I tend to like "light ice" in my frappes though. It's also fun to add syrup around the cup before you pour. 🙂

You need a powder of some sort, if you can add a powder cappuccino or I like to add powder collagen to mine (added youth and has no flavor) it’ll make it like the frappe you get at the coffee stand. But you need a bigger scoop. They give you a scooper for the coffee, use that, about half just under. You’ll be happy if you do a flavor cappuccino because caffeine 😃 I loved your review
This looks like a good machine. I have the hot or iced mr. Coffee maker. I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade to this one. I don't drink frappe's that often but I drink a LOT of iced coffee. Maybe for a Christmas present 🎁
This is perfect! I live in the country rural area 30 minute drive to the nearest frappe at drive thru so I am happy they made this ,I love frappes,I know my daughter is tired of driving that far to get me one lol
Just bought this. Enjoying it, and your review. However, the tab on the blender lid at the 11:50 point is not to seal the spout, the silicone gasket does that. It's to help you remove the lid after it's blended.

I feel very late at finding this frappe maker in the last month, but because of your video I am probably going to get one since its on sale on Sams club website right now. Thank you for the detailed video with helpful tips! A biggby worker told me they use a sweet tonic that has no flavor as a way to gwt the texture so I will look into that.

What a fun machine to own and to be able to make your own beautiful looking drinks. Your Frappe looked really good! The problem I’d have if I owned that machine is that I’d want to make those drinks daily and I’d probably be seeing some weight gain ☹️. So I think I’ll just watch your video’s and enjoy them.
Buy syrups that are sugar-free, you can't even tell the difference. I buy mine at Smart and Final but you can find them in other stores like Ross. Enjoy !
My issue is the consistency not being up to a frappe standard. I think the xanthan gum may not be the solution though seeing how it turned out in your video. I haven't tried to add more ice to get a thicker consistency, but I will try again soon and see if that the shape of the ice from a fridge is the issue or not by adding more.

I just have the new Mr Coffee 4 in 1 lux coffee machine....Was thinking I could brew the coffee, and use the guidance here to make a frozen frappucino using a nutribullet or blender??? THis machine seams like the 4 in 1, except it has a blender portion instead of the milk frother portion .
I just got one I'm probably going to use espresso coffee and more than it recommends I will also allow the coffee to cool before adding it to less ice because I like my coffee strong Fantastic video though
I love how detail you are! I have a Keurig k-cup now & it is about to die soon. I was looking for a different coffee maker that doesn't used k-cup to save plastic even through I have the reusable one but I feel the Keurig machine doesn't make strong coffee. Plus I want to have an option have having hot/ice/frappe coffee.

Not sure about the gum, I got it off amazon, it does not take much, use very little. some people use cool whip instead of the gum and some people use pudding powder, not sure how to use those but those are some ideas. it just does not take much gum. thanks for watching and merry Christmas!!!

Great Question. The Mr coffee can make a stronger and more quantity of iced coffee. The Keurig is good but limited to just 1 k cup that holds 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds. you could use 2 kcups, the mr coffee is a little more work with clean up, so if speed is what you need then Keurig, if strong and taste is what you want then Mr Coffee
Some people do, I don't I feel like once coffee grounds are brewed they just don't give off much coffee flavor, but you are more than welcome to try it and see.

I’m really kicking myself for not seeing this video before I purchased the Newest Keurig 😭. Although I love my Keurig, I feel like this machine will cater to my family’s needs more than just a latte/cappuccino maker. Do you know if the blender can operate with no ice? I just bought this machine today because of this video. I made a mocha frappe and it was really strong, it was also watery which I didn’t like :( not sure how to fix that. I read online xanthan gum will help keep it from separating. I think he also mentioned it in this video or a different review. I’ll need to try that next time. Can’t wait to try the iced coffee in the morning tho!
This video is so helpful and informative. I am curious to know if see any one is having issue with the blender during the blend mode. I made sure the top lid was locked, yet liquid still comes out of it while blending. Like it is leaking .And my frappes are very thin with most of the ice totally blended out. May have to look into the xanthan gum.
yeah my lid comes up a little sometimes. seems if the area where the lid sits is wet then it slides up easy, its never come off but it does look like it could. if you use the Gum, use very little it only takes a pinch or 2
wish you would of measured how much water was up to the line. other then that really great review. I'm more of a latte girl maybe this would be good. I'm a French vinalla girl. id like my runny like that

I just got mine today, did you notice when you washed the blender water pooled in the bottom between the plastic? How about the lid on the blender, does is lock but still move?
I did notice if my lid is wet or has milk on it then yes it does move up a bit, a little scary. I have not noticed the water pooled yet, thanks for sharing and I will keep you posted.

Yea I did this years ago and used heavy cream it made a great texture but left that greasy feeling at the roof of my mouth.
Starbucks does that too with leftover coffee

Can I use a dandelion root and chicory root non caffeine grind? And it still work the same?
I just bought this machine today and attempted a caramel frappe. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it's bitter and very watery

Thanks for this video, I bought it because of the video. I really love this maker. I use the International Delight coffee creamers as my flavoring. Easier than thick syrups.

Amazon, but Walmart has a nice selection of the syrups, in the coffee isle.
I’m really kicking myself for not seeing this video before I purchased the Newest Keurig 😭. Although I love my Keurig, I feel like this machine will cater to my family’s needs more than just a latte/cappuccino maker.
Do you know if the blender can operate with no ice? I’m curious to see if it will break the blender if we only use it to froth milk. You see where I’m going with this? 🤣

I just bought this machine today because of this video.
I made a mocha frappe and it was really strong, it was also watery which I didn’t like :( not sure how to fix that. I read online xanthan gum will help keep it from separating. I think he also mentioned it in this video or a different review. I’ll need to try that next time. Can’t wait to try the iced coffee in the morning tho!

Yes but its not the most powerful if you really load it down.

This video is so helpful and informative. I am curious to know if see any one is having issue with the blender during the blend mode. I made sure the top lid was locked, yet liquid still comes out of it while blending. Like it is leaking .And my frappes are very thin with most of the ice totally blended out. May have to look into the xanthan gum.
yeah my lid comes up a little sometimes. seems if the area where the lid sits is wet then it slides up easy, its never come off but it does look like it could. if you use the Gum, use very little it only takes a pinch or 2

wish you would of measured how much water was up to the line. other then that really great review. I'm more of a latte girl maybe this would be good. I'm a French vinalla girl. id like my runny like that

I just got mine today, did you notice when you washed the blender water pooled in the bottom between the plastic? How about the lid on the blender, does is lock but still move?
I did notice if my lid is wet or has milk on it then yes it does move up a bit, a little scary. I have not noticed the water pooled yet, thanks for sharing and I will keep you posted.
Can u please make a video making a frap and use the pulse button besides the blend I’m sure it would make a difference
