"As long as you value the management of suffering You will not force yourself to look for the direction of uprooting it. " Thank you Bhanthe for these eye openers
Thank you Venerables for another excellent instruction. - seeing lately how lack of understanding puts us at the complete mercy of the senses and the grasping mind. Such a realization will either lead one to madness, or Noble search, as you and the Buddha have taught. There is a great deal of bravery involved in honestly coming to terms with the depth and breadth of one’s suffering and its cause. The cure requires painful self-transparency, effort, and strength of mind. Thank you for your teachings and for being excellent examples of the Buddha’s Dhamma for us all.
🙏🙏🙏 Let it go, without attempting hard or without ignoring it. Oga tharana Sutta. Contemplate the ultimate truth is important, not even a single moment of suffering is retained. Automatically, myself will not be retained because the ceasing is the nature. When nothing is retained, what will be here for craving?
I know I need to do this but I don't want to. This is my big realization in the last few years, once my false inspiration faded away, is that I basically need to sit down, stop distracting myself, and just face the Noble Truths. Is it better to taper down on the addiction to the management, or is it better to just go cold turkey?
Depends on a person. Taper down through increasing the precepts and seeing the danger in the slightest fault. When you become comfortable with it, then you can renounce the mental management even further.
sadhu sadhu Bhante...
Can't tell you how helpful it was to listen to this talk! Sadhu!
