The first line itself teaches a lot. If the mind is itself defiled, then seclusion is going to feel like endless empty loneliness. I experience this in the city living alone a lot. This talk helps me a lot. Thank you. Few notes that I took 1.Being secluded without proper skills is going to feel like Seclusion/Loneliness is bad. 2. If the above keeps happening, it grows into existential dread. 3. What is the intention of seclusion ? Am I doing it to avoid something ? Is it for a good reason or a bad reason ? Ex: Go to library to gain knowledge, not to socialize and meet people 4. Try to observe the reasons for my sensual actions. 5. Thought and Action are in different domains. Unmindful thoughts lead to Unmindful action. Ignorance is the bridge that connects them. Ex: If I am angry, I speak angry, I act angry. 6. We form mental perceptions about emotions on our own. Expressing emotion is secondary, primary is the understanding and containment of it. 7. True freedom is not getting affected unmindfully by our own thoughts and emotions. 8. We have sensual assumptions in mind that leads to sensual actions. 9. We are used to all these, but it can be undone. We have to overcome the need for expression of a thought or emotion.
