What a fantastic tour of Whitestone and Malba! I grew up on Utopia Pkway and 14th Rd; just opposite from the Belt Pkwy exit. I left years ago for Arizona. But, if I decide to come back for some good ol’ NY pizza someday, I’d love to get a history tour of the area with you! Lunch and gas is on me! 😂
Not to be critical, but I grew up in Whitestone and it was and remains a great place to live. But to call it middle class is under stating. It is upper middle class and wealthy. It is a solid neighborhood with very law abiding and striving professionals. Love your tours.
Thanks brother for the nostalgic video, used to live in college point on 8th ave. I would go for my daily runs through malba and Whitestone. I used to love to run on crisp winter evenings and enjoy all the Christmas lights some of these house were adorned with. Keep em coming. I lived in forest hills, Astoria, bayside, and the last place was college point before I moved to Florida.
You should go over the bridge into Staten. Go all the way down Hylan Blvd left on Arbutus Ave and left onto Nicolosi Drive. Bro you would be amazed at the houses on that street. The 2nd house on the right side in the circle shape has an entire downstairs that moves so you can get different views of the ocean. I worked as a nyc firefighter out there and very few people know of this block. Billion dollar houses. I retired to Florida and one of those houses are worth every house in Florida combined. I used to love driving through there to dream about what it would like to be rich and come home to there.
The property values must’ve inflated just like how $1 million home doesn’t look like $1 million home in Brooklyn. Just an attached shared driveway 1 family house.
What a great concept : dash cam tours. Brilliant!! I've lived in NYC for 30+ years ... Queens & Manhattan. Never heard of Malba until today. Those houses are seriously fugly tho. Ostentatious & tasteless. Shudder to think what the insides look like. And that water 'view'? Hilarious. But the video was great. Delivery enjoyable. Knowledge outstanding. You're one helluva dash cam tour guide.
Fantastic video...At 8:06 , those were some group of mansions , wow..But MALBA is one "kickass" posh area of Queens.. May i suggest you also visit Fieldston Rd in the NW Bronx and perhaps Eastern LI, including Kings Point, Sands Point, and other beautiful towns in between? Keep up your fine work..
Rudy Whitaker i use to work in Great neck you can deff drive around as much as you like .. I use to work overnight and would drive around for an hour or so before heading to great neck just don’t go down the private roads .. also I use to do a bit of photography and me and a buddy took his car their to take pics and got pulled over cops were cool and we went about our way... it was a old Bmw with a loud exhaust and tinted windows all around so we expected it tbh lol
one thing i like about whitestone/malba is that they don’t have huge hedges blocking the houses lol also you should visit this area again bc so many more houses have been finished and it looks even better
I watch all your videos as many of us do. Very very interesting storylines. I always say hello to the truck. I’m curious to know how you remedied the clicking sound in the exhaust tapping sound? I watch all your latest videos, and I don’t hear that sound. If I’m not mistaken, I remember one video you had when you have the exhaust in the bed of the truck. How did you go about fixing the tapping clicking sound?
Also I watched every one of your vids great vids thanks make tons more we like your Chanel took me to memories when u went threw my old area have a good one .
Love your work ! Thank you for all you do and knowing the facts. Here's one for you. In the Movie Goodfella's, The mother they go and visit after Billy Batts murder, is Martin's mother. Scorsese !
Enjoy all your videos. I live in Missouri and I can't imagine living in such a big place. I'd never be able to get around with all the traffic. I admire your driving skills. Can you do more videos on where former mobsters lived in the area ?
My old boss lived in Whitestone, doesn’t look like it’s located in the boroughs but yet it is.Those areas (depending what side)leading up to the Whitestone Bridge is very uppity.Personally I think the area is overpriced.Locations like this and Forest Hills have always been uppity but also some folks with money are coming in and literally knocking down old construction and totally construct a new home.
Lived here my whole life. We live in a small home here. But I'll take a small home here over a big home in a bad area. North side of the cross island is vastly nicer than the side going towards Flushing. Because this side contains both Beechurst and Malba. Which are both beautiful.
@@MONEYAINTATHANG100 first off I was adding more accurate information as I’m from Whitestone! No middle class person could afford a house in Whitestone. However, you might wanna get your muffler fixed in college point. Finally, thanks for the reply 2 years later! 😂
I would love if you could go to rich/posh neighbourhoods and record and vlog, showing big houses, rich/affluent areas, if you could give a tour and a bit of history of the area like saying who were the past and present residents of where you are, you could even put a map on the screen in a corner to show us and pinpoint where you are, that would be fantastic!
Hey amazing video keep it up! May i suggest a couple of things to you, one would be to get a better quality camera so the video and audio quality would come out better and clearer and two would be to put it on a spindle type of mount, so that you could move the camera around, it stops you from turning the truck around. Love from Yorkshire in UK!
Hey bro, nice video you got here. I like your speed bump trick. I use that one myself too. The view you got of the Whitestone bridge was amazing. Have you figured out yet how to add the speed to the dash cam display?
The restaurant you pass at 2 min is very good .. . And Cena wasn't born there lol . . Drea de mattao from sopranos lived around there when she was a kid
In most other parts of the US 6millon gets you way more house and way more land. NY is super expensive! Real added costs for the proximity to the city.
MOONEY Dash Cam haha gotcha 👍🏻 yeah I don’t know much about vehicles but last time I heard that type of noise it didn’t go well for me lol good videos btw interesting to see around diff places, love the 80s la cosa nostra spots
No doubt the houses are beautiful and no doubt they have beautiful views but the downside is the size of the lot. You can get a house like that on 20 acres for under $1 million in Pennsylvania.
I personally do not like the big houses. even if they are worth 6 million, they are not worth a hill of beans to me. The best homes I like are the small ones that where like built around 1919 and older. specially the working class homes in a nice working class area. and what would make it worth millions to me is if it was fully furnished in pre world war one furniture
Toyota Supra a rare car? The Toyota that I would love to own that is rare, is a 1972 Toyota Celica ST, with the gas cap in the rear and not on the side

Thank You Mooney for this video of Malba/Whitestone. Very nice views over there in Queens. Stay Safe.
I really enjoy watching your videos of different NYC neighborhoods. It’s interesting to compare how $6M in NYC relates to $6M in CA or elsewhere

Uppity has a connotation of snotty. People who have a higher opinion how their city neighborhood should look makes for safe area for families.

You probably should do a video about Zerega avenue in The Bronx. A lot of let’s just say extracurricular activities go down after dark there.
Is this why residents of Queens say Queens gets the money cause those houses literally show that 😆
