I love your relationship. Food brings me closer to people forsure. I like that Taku shows you his culture and food and I’m sure you probably do the same. Love that energy :) love you both as a couple!
That is so awesome guys glad you can go out there and have such a great time out there. I Love your videos keep them coming I really enjoy watching you guys and all the different places different techniques of fishing and foraging to make fantastic delicious dishes👍
I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Deacon Darwin Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Jocelyn's channel and Taku's channels together make an outstanding experience. Taku's? Outdoorsy, simple hunter gatherer content with excellent chef skills. Jocelyn's? *Everything* behind the scenes, a more in depth look at their personalities and relationship, great snippets of the local markets and food, contextual knowledge behind these establishments, and cool learning experiences. The channels together map their whole journey together so us viewers don't miss a beat. It's really, really cool...and they need to f*cking get married already! Lol jk....but really, tho.
Hey folks, check out Danish donuts called Ableskivers...the look just like the Sata andagi...the Ableskivers are a bit smaller. The Danes break them open and fill the hollow interior with honey or jam. The special Ableskiver pan can be found on-line or in most high end cookware outlets around the bay area. Thanks for sharing the "behind the scene" action/stuff.
Guys I so much wanted to be there with you to taste the wonderful seafood. So fresh, colourful, and well presented. Yum yum yummy yum!!! Great watch. So I'm off now to get some sushi and sashimi just to feel a part of your seafood market experience. Thanks guys. Love it.
Always love your vids! Keep up the great work. It would be great if you could include a couple things on the video (maybe as text), price in USD (and local currency) and then a Taklyn the World rating out of 10 or whatever scale. That way we can get better feel for how good it is. Thanks!!
I like the honest opinion of Jocelyn. Taku is like me everything weird or not is good. My wife is more on the apprehensive side when it comes to stuff.
I probably wasn't paying attention at your Outdoor Chef Life channel but, did you alert your subscribers about this channel? You and Jocelyn work well with each other. Great video you two!
Just mentioned it in 2 videos for OCL. We'll be mentioning it whenever Taklyn has a video that relates to the OCL channel, we don't want to push it too hard in case people aren't interested in a vlog channel.
@@TaklyntheWorld you have opened up a new market with this vlog. Promote it as people will watch it. Your vlog will bring in the wives or girlfriends of the fishermen who watch OCL. You should see the comments and responses from other channels that involve couples like yourselves. Your "views" and "subscriber" count already verifies that people like this channel. It becomes something like a soap opera for youtubers (without the drama). LoL! If you don't wish to mention this channel, just post a link in the description box and continue to have related TtW video boxes at the end of your OCL videos.
Squeezing lime onto soy sauce is something filipinos have been doing forever. Add some vinegar, bit of sugar, minced onions, chillies, garlic and even ginger.. and u got urself a sauce for almost anything grilled or deepfried
I like your videos. Educating and fun. God bless the two of you. Another flavorful video. I am from the Philippines. Come visit our country and see a lot of seafood we have to offer and beautiful scenery to behold. Besides, its a lot cheaper to buy stuffs here. See you soon. MABUHAY!
Kona crab is great raw with sea salt, and inamona (roasted candle nut) or steamed. Should have grabbed the nodoguro (rosy sea bass) very tasty and oily.
Great video, great food, the people looked very friendly also; Funny that Jocelyn has more appetite than Taku :) Also to get such quality food for such a low price, compared to the US, makes you think a lot, and it's not like Japan is a 3rd world country, which usually would explain the price difference, there is no excuse for pricey & bad food in America, food for thought....
You guys ever see a 7-11 crab? It's also called a 7-spot crab, but there are four more spots on its rear end, and no one can figure out whether to count those, so it's a 7-11 crab. I caught one when I was a kid in Hawaii in Kahaluu

@@score2high So neither one was Tsukiji? Interesting. I definitely loved this video and the varied high quality seafood shown off one of my favorite videos on UA-cam in a while for sure!

Sata andagi!!! I miss my grandmother's andagi! When I was little I used to watch her make it using no measuring utensils, everything by hand. But it always came out the same. Too bad you didn't get a chance to have some pig feet soup while you were there.
You two do a great job of documenting these adventures. Well done.
Jocelyn is gorgeous.
Hey give her a chance
Does she have a sister? Asking for a friend.
Yea but she has like no personality this whole video is taku talking. And its supposed to be her channel
Creme Jockey she talks more than like any other video! Lol give her a chance bruh don’t be so thirsty

TakLyn the World reminds me a LOT of Strictly Dumpling and Simon and Martina....a perfect marriage of food and fun.

yeah, we will go to Makishi public market in a few days too.
I’ve always mixed wasabi and shoyu, my pops taught me that way. They’re so good together, no need for segregation or rules
