Great review! Halston 1-12 was one of the very first fragrances I have ever bought. A masculine, green scent for sure, but I tend to prefer One Man Show, by Jacques Bogart over 1-12 most of the time. Although 1-12 is not quite as brash and leathery as One Man Show, it is a true classic; soapy, clean and manly: a must for a gentleman's collection.
Thanks for the compliment! As you can tell, I do like 1-12 very much. I haven't tried One Man Show yet. It is on the list! Thanks for being a part of the channel.
@@rogergraves8108 I've tried Paco Rabbane pour Homme once. I loved it, but it didn't seem to last very long on my skin. I will try it again to get a better sense of it. Bogart Signature is definitely on my "to try list" Thanks for the suggestions!
Just bought 3 bottles, which at me being 64, should last me the rest of my life. Back in 1981, my second girlfriend, Judy, said she loved to smell 1-12 on a man, and I like an idiot, didn't get it. Maybe out of nostalgia, I finally got some, and in fact am wearing some as I type this. On 6+ hours and it still smells great. I can see why (even as a straight man,)why Judy loved it.. I also have 3 bottles of Z-14. Between these two Halstons, along with some other good scents, I'm set.
Great fragrance! I got into fragrance collecting a couple years ago and the last year I have been loving vintage mostly. I have a vintage or at least slightly older bottle of this and 3 modern versions for back ups. It’s weaker than it used to be but still amazing. Great channel, I subbed. Would love reviews on Kouros, lapidus, Azzaro pour homme, tabac, grey flannel , Lauder for men ect. Great video
Thanks for the subscription, and the great comments about 1-12. A Review on Lapidus is about a week away, and most of what you've mentioned are in the queue. Thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel!
1-12 manly,clean,classic,and one of my all-time favorites!! I've been wearing 12 for 40 plus yrs..rock solid..you can't go wrong!! Price is right,too!! (Dakar is another favorite)😍
Had this as a young man..way too loud for me..and the dry down reminded me of a an extinguished cigar. The old Z 14 was a cypress cinnamon gem..smoother and longer lasting on my skin.
When I spray Halston 1-12 eau de toilette as a light mist from a distance, it smells a lot like a generic dryer sheet scent. It works better, in my experience, by spraying it into my hand a few times, patting my hands together, and then dabbing it on my lower neck/upper chest. Essentially, I'm turning it into a somewhat sparingly applied splash.
I tend to use the spray close to my pulse points (1-2 inches), but I like your application method as well. Thanks for your contribution to the channel!
Thank you for this review. I find your reviews to be very honest and to the point. I am curious if you have any experience with Floris No. 89. I am not really a fan of the new or sweet fragrances but do not mind a powder smelling cologne. Please let me know.
Thanks for your comment and question! I have not experience with any of the Floris fragrances, but I hope to soon. Thanks for being part of the channel!
