Still not sold that this rebrand isn't just a marketing strategy from Microsoft. Edit* (To everyone who misunderstood) What I mean is I'm worried that there isn't going to be any improvement in the quality of the games and that they're just changing the name and spamming "A New Dawn" all over the place so that the fanbase actually buys Halo 7, Halo CER, Project Ekur, etc. Only time will tell.
It is. They know that the community wanted something like this to happen for a long time. So they play into it to ease the tension even though the damage they cost over the past decade isn't helping them.
Well, yes and no. It's undeniable that the team changed deeply this last year. The old writing team is gone, the campaign devs got gutted, management gone, testers gone, plenty of technical devs gone too, completely new leadership and plenty of new blood is still getting hired. That said, it doesn't mean the culture has changed. If the new people are still following the same principles 343i has, while the new folks at HS might be better organized and prepared, they still might ruin the franchise even further. In short, new or not they still might still repeat mistakes in pursue of their own targets. A big part why I'm afraid of this is thanks to MS and how corporate they tend to be with their own build studios - at lest for their major fanchises. As long as MS got a saying over everything, my hopes stay limited. New studio or not.
If they wanna get away from 343 back rep then “put your money where your mouth is.” Let’s start off with actually listening to the community, not making free assets from halo 1-5 under a micro transaction paywall, a good story that expands the halo universe past spartans and odsts, bring back the flood, make halo co-op on same console, bring back assassinations, stop copying other game mechanics and keep halo as halo, stop making games that requires people to have to read the books and tv series to understand, hire ex bungie devs and people who actually love and support the franchise, learn from all the mistakes 343 made by not repeating them, no more excuses for failure, and make stand alone spin off games in between waiting for the next main games like bungie did with halo 3odst. That’s my sample list.
@ Personally I believe that is one of the dumbest moves used purely to drain player wallets. Just copy halo reach armor unlocking mechanics and tweak how players can earn points such as grind or pay for points. Simple and everyone wins.
True they want faith, fix mcc's hacker issue and fix halo infinite. Then maybe we will trust a new game from them. This only makes me think if their game fails they are just gonna leave it to rot too.
The micro transactions are definitely what ruined the game for me. Well that and the soundtracks. when halo stopped making me feel emotional from its music alone, i fell off. I used to sleep to halo 1, 2, and 3, and reach soundtracks. I can't do that with halo now. That touch is gone personally
343 aka Halo studios is Disney to Halo just like Disney is Disney to Star Wars. They ruined it. They hired people that don't care about to community, don't care about the Lore, and are more worried about politics and agenda. I haven't touched Halo since the Infinite launch. They should have hired Saber. Look at the amazing game they made with Space Marine 2.
@jamesl7921 more worried about politics and agenda? Lmao you star wars and halo fans are dumb as hell. Why is there politics in my political franchise? Who knows man, maybe you should try introspection and stop being a baby.
The studio doesnt male decisions. They dont even decide who spearheads the teams. Microsoft does and microsoft makes their decisions bases off of what blaclrock wants.
that's always been their issue, they absolutely despise what bungie made from what i see and they're just doing the bare minimum courtesy by keeping the name and chief in it, they never acknowledge anything that happened prior to their games other than cheap throwbacks and nostalgia bait. They systematically refuse to learn from their mistakes and just think that they should be thanked for developing halo games, whilst not putting in any effort to make the games better or even as good as the bungie games, they just think the IP will carry it and think they can do whatever they want with it cuz its iconic.
@Sigmatoilette92882 original Halo's mechanics are unique to Halo, 343 took Halo and added all the other FPS features to it and now it's all the same. 343 certainly didn't save Halo from dying, people buy new Halo games hoping 343 made something worthy of a bungie Halo and then after beating the campaign, playing the multiplayer for a month everyone leaves when the realise it's not up to Halo standard. Halo 4, 5 and Infinite's population has made Halo a small FPS when in the past it was the trend setter, the king.
@Sigmatoilette92882 strongly disagree and obviously the majority disagree with you or Halo would be popular. Halo doesn't play 90% similar to quake. You're right Halo needs to evolve, but you don't evolve by just copying everyone around and and losing your identity in the process. I don't think you and I can come to an agreement mate so I'm not replying.
i think the problem was that they tried to humanize chief too much hes a super soldier who isnt afraid of anything right , the formula is right there and i think they tried too hard with that and be their own thing. which made certain char out of touch . i did like cortanas route though. mp i have always been happy with tbh.
OG bungie era Human are for runners 343 era humans are not forunners OG Bungie fixed patched the games fast put the ban hammer on hackers 343 took forever to fix or not fixing Halo Mcc and halo 6 not putting the ban hammer down on hackers
Halo Infinite was the first Halo game that made me go back to playing the previous entry within in only a few months. Say what you will about Halo 5 Guardians (and you can say a great deal), but there was a lot of fun to be had with it's multi-player. 343 can just never seem to get the balance between campaign and multi-player right.
This is so real 4 has a phenomenal and different story. But a kinda meh multiplayer 5 is far and away the most mechanically impressive game but the story......
@@shanedussault740 Exactly. As for Infinite, it had some interesting campaign elements but still left a lot to be desired. However, it's multi-player was extremely disappointing. Limited weapons, extremely weak (and few) vehicles, and the aiming issue was very annoying. There was just no fun in it.
@@NZealand in terms of multiplayer absolutely. I was hyper disappointed that we didn't get a return of warzone in infinite. My biggest complaint of 343 has been their inability to stick to their guns, the people who complained about the gameplay of 5 desperately needed to be ignored
I think even if they just stuck to a more consistent story, even with the art style changes and whatnot, could've at least helped 343 not be in as bad of a spot as they have come to. Even if 343 branched off into a different path than where Bungie maybe were going, and they just stuck to something more consistent than what we have with 4, 5, and Infinite, I think they could've AT LEAST been somewhere a little better.
Master Chief lost his sense of humor since 343 took over Well it's mostly on scenes with Cortana or Johnson + that one time in front of a grunt at Halo 2. But come on, can't he have some fun with Echo 216 or Blue Team?
Exactly. The content wasn't consistent enough to keep people invested. An entire year with only two maps released killed it immediately. I do play now more than before, thanks to all the forge maps releasing, but when it comes to dev maps, they're still struggling. I hope UE5 changes that, but I'm still concerned.
@@Thunderstar-ky4tf speaking of UE5, if we don’t get more dev maps then they will get even more hate. If you’re using an engine everyone knows then there should be no excuses for a lack of content.
Yes, let’s all live inside our heads about what could have been, thus creating an unending cycle of further disappointment. Great strategy for moving forward. 10/10
Id software have bigger and more important franchises itself And Certain affinity has never made a game, your trust in them is ridiculous, they are just a good support team
You should take a look at Mint Blitzes vid where apparently quite a few people prefer Halo 4 to Reach, i am not one of those people. But it can't be understated what has happened with Forge. From a fuck around mode with not much attention to being a full on game builder of sorts and giving fans a chance to have their map in an actual Halo game is probably 343s most positive impact. Maybe reviving HCS after Reach killed it is second.
The only way that Halo studios show that they're different from 343 is by hiring OG Halo Bungie devs for at least the remakes CE, 2, and 3. On a lesser note they could should consider hiring past 343 employees because they all have experience with blam as well and I believe in second chances.
8:23 The first thing that turned me off any hope for 343 being worthy carriers of the Halo mantle. Sure I’ve read some of the books, but as with most fans I was introduced first and foremost to the Halo games. These were my core gaming memories. Since Halo 4, there was a bad taste I couldn’t ignore and I didn’t even bother finishing it. I personally think the way Bungie’s Halo story was told, in and around a character that said very little, and in some games none at all was very interesting and refreshing from any other game franchise. Also the way dialogue flowed in between other characters but not necessarily looking at the chief for constant input was innovative imo…
Indeed it felt like the only person who never got replaced is the one taking care of Chief's dialogues. Probably the single main reason why many of us are still waiting for a better future for Halo.
Master chief has always been a stoic character but he definitely does talk. In the games he's always on a mission. You can see him being talkative in halo 2 and 3 any time there not in a combat zone.
@@Aether-Entropy 343 started developing it in 2014, creative assembly finished later on. I hate 343 too, but lying to shit on them when they already do it enough themselves is a little out there haha
I think the community should make the next Halo game, there's so many interested in it and making mods. They need a spin off called "Halo the missing pieces" that adds in everything they left out.

Management dictates the vision and culture of a project, ultimately influencing the final product. This is evident in the workplace dynamic where employees execute tasks under the supervision of their bosses, who approve every aspect of their work. Therefore, a change in management inherently leads to a shift in vision and culture, resulting in a significantly different product. While the impact of this rebranding on the next Halo remains uncertain, it’s clear that the new management will bring about substantial changes, potentially for the better.
I would love to see a Spin off Halo Game where it takes place during the late days of the Insurrectionist War and you play as a Marine and the game for the 1st half focuses on the Innies ( Canonical term given to the Insurrection) and slowly but surely transitions over to the Human-Covenant war.
I loved halo 5’s multiplayer so much more than infinites. I loved that mode they made with the flag in the middle and a team on each side that mode was amazing. I loved the jet packs and ground pound over the grapple hook. And the graphics were even cooler looking on halo 5 not to mention all the maps were way better with cool jump spots.
Halo 5 was the first and only halo game I didn’t finish. I did 50% before I had to google how many missions master chief was in….it was 3. I was so board playing the game and wondering why and then I searched that. It all made sense after
I honestly think that there could have been so much more for the story. after 5's campaign we could have gotten DLC stories about cortana's reign over the galaxy. but Halo infinite doesn't do much justice telling us what happened afterward. while implementing the banished was cool it feels like there was so much more that felt missing that 343 never added to Infinite
this wasnt mentioned, but along with Chief being written well, I feel like the Arbiter in halo 5 was given a lot of time and care in his dialouge as well. 343 Might have messed up pretty bad. But when you look back on those two things, they atleast got that right. If they had messed that up it would have been a lot worse XD
They need to use the Spirit of Fire to return to the more industrial, gritty, "old fashioned" USNC. Not chief or the games specifically, but the UNSC as a faction and thus, the art style and technology which is used.
They should make the team consist of people who’ve read the books and were there playing Lan parties in peoples basements and wanting to do justice to the lore, hoping this team does justice too Halo

@ Give it time, the studio just started and they’re working on project Foundry which is just a research project unto the limits of the Unreal Engine. Which doesn't need those two.
I remember watching the Halo 4 production ads on Halo Channel (RIP). The 343 team was pretty enthusiastic, and expressed a desire to continue the Halo legacy in their own way. Of course, we have the hindsight and info now to know that their enthusiasm was one of selfish pride. Their minimum rap sheet: Barring out Bungie devs except by necessity, Trying and failing to recast the Chief and Cortana Changing the art style {the Halo 4 and 5 UNSC logo is emblematic of this} for the hell of it Putting the Flood in the backseat by not having them be a direct PVE enemy in a main Halo release Copying features from Call of Duty, Fortnite, and (during Infinite's development phase as a hero shooter) Overwatch Halo Studios is trying to sell us on that same enthusiasm and energy, again referencing the past in order to make a statement about there being a new chapter. We can have hope that the team has genuinely learned from some of their mistakes from the 343 days, but until they release their UE project, we must remain cautious and skeptical. Remember, the 343 team really thought they made something groundbreaking with Halo 4, and thanked us for "trusting them" with the mantle going forward. Halo Studios will have to earn that trust back, one way or another.
Damn, people judge this new studio (because it IS a new studio, almost all of the old devs, testers and so forth are GONE) before it even released a game?
As a halo fan since the halo 1 days. I want the rated m for mature. The warrior mentality and guns violence and emotions of haunting world of halo mysteries the deep lore. The out of the map experiences with friends. It felt endless possibilities. Make speed running a thing again. Give us what we want. Give us the guns from all halos. Give us assassinations to really hurt our enemy. God help us even emotes should be considered a possibility. Game just really feels flat on all main points of what my mind of a halo game. But the biggest issue my friends have everyday they just don’t like the bad guns. They come from games that have weapon upgrades and attachments. I find myself defending halo every time we play. Weapons should be cooler. Open world campaign was a huge waste of resources. They had little diversity of trees and areas that looked to similar. Just felt like a vision held down by people’s lack of hard work and love for a game
I saw the reveal trailer for the halo combat evolved remake and saw the studio rebrand! Yeah I'm just going to stay cautiously optimistic until the game releases before I pass any judgment as to weather or not this was the right move for microsoft.
@@kingjakyl4851 quite literally was stated in the same video you watched that what they showed was not a tech demo, nor was it a game, but a research project to learn how to use Unreal Engine and make future Halo games.
I still hold by the opinion that Halo is basically dead. It will never be the same as it was back in the golden years. Under Microsoft, the only hope is for it to eventually enter public domain or for Microsoft to not give a fuck about it and the community to build back a better Halo through their own fan-made games and mods.
I think whether you are more positive or negative about Halo Studios, we should all just wait until the next Halo Game. If they manage to do it well, then good for them and good for us. But if they fail, then Microsoft should simply give the IP to another studio and give them a try.
all things considered ... Im glad 343i had HALO Legends made . Dude! Make some more mini movies yourself? Like ' The babysitter ' from HALO Legends. maybe ?
We need some OG Halo Fans to get into 343. I've seen so many great PC mods that Halo fans have made. They'd make the games great again. Infinite seemed like the right direction but just too slow to finish the product to keep the community alive.
i haven't watched the video yet but ill say objectively we all need to be conservatively optimistic over just blatantly pessimistic, especially so if we actually want this direction of the studio to start on the best path. I'm just as frustrated as the next with 343 but they've undergone a vast rebranding for a reason and they know they need to prove themselves again. in good faith it would be refreshing if they listen to us and we can at least lay out what made Halo actually feel like Halo. If you've read this far share some aspects of halo you cherished growing up and what you would like to see come back
I'm sorry but I got to get this off my chest too. "Did they execute poorly on them? Yes." How can you say that and not provide a single reason as to why the Railgun fell short, or Chief's writing fell short? I am not contending with the fact that these were ideas that originally came from Bungie, and were attempted to be paid off in H4 - but it almost sounds like you are saying that the only redeeming parts of the game (in your opinion) were also executed on poorly, literally down to the mechanics of a new power-weapon. So what now, Halo 4 is an objectively bad game because "the story overall was a mess," or because one-executive agrees with your sentiment that they were "chasing the dragon" attempting to replicate CoD's success by introducing loadouts? Loadouts were limited to Infinity Slayer, and while not perfect were a fun addition at the time - so what's your argument then? That 343i wasted development time making specializations in Halo which came with unique armor, and gameplay aspects, etc.? In a game that was feature complete at launch? Man, the way you talk about 343i Halo projects makes one think if you would rate a game like Golem, a true technical failure - even higher than a Halo project. Halo projects may have had visionary problems more recently, but not in Halo 4 - and in making such generic and empty-critiques all the time, you constantly degrade the quality of an experience that many Halo fans that actually play the games regularly resonate with. We all agree that no project is perfect, or ever could be - but discrediting Halo 4's success is so disingenuous when what we are stuck with right now from a full-package perspective has never fallen more short with the exception of forge. DO BETTER man, I've been watching you since Halo 4 Follower and love your content still but disagree with you completely on Halo 4.
I can think of a single moment where Chief broke character: Echiram, at the end of the boss fight where he call him "Just another solider doing his job". That is not Chief.
That's definitely him. Just read few books and you'll see. Additionally, he much more talkative and a team player than the silent line wolf he is in the games.
@@cyphoah8748I've not read any of the books so I can't comment it did feel out of place. It just seems to be added to give another side to chief? like in other media in tv or games a character could kill 100's of enemies then the final boss they get emotional about killing one more.
Grew up playing every halo since the first halo I’m 23 years old now and halo 5 was one of the best halos (not the best halo) but halo 5 in modern times was one f the best modern multiplayer experiences also that fight scene was insane to watch
Well said, Infinite was a return to form (not that 343i were ever in form, but the IP was!). Gameplay was great, visuals were great, just felt too much like a demo, campaign felt big but empty at the same time, story was meh. The biggest constraint was their engine and management, which led to a frustratingly slow drip feed of content, which now have both finally been changed. Was heartbreaking to finally have a Halo game that felt good to play, but sadly was let down by such basic things, they made maintaining a customer base after launch look like the hardest job, surely developing the game from scratch is the bigger task. I have mad respect for Pierre Hintze and he proved his worth with MCC being fixed and later stages of Infinite after they cleaned house. I am hoping there are better times ahead for Halo fans, I agree that a rename means nothing but we are all tired of living in the dark, we need a win.
I understand why people have such bias against 343. Halo Reach was good, but different. Halo 4 and downright bad. But Halo Infinite imo was a HUGE step in the right direction for the campaign. It just seems strange to me that they would be rebranding at a time where their image doesn't have to be so bad. Imagine what they could have done with Halo: infinite if they took a more conservative approach to the multiplayer side. It has everything it needs at base value to be a popular game, but suffers entirely from the lack of care put into the finer details. Good examples would be a well crafted, dedicated firefight mode separate from regular multiplayer, Enhanced campaign experience with some small updates or co-op improvements, player career sheets, reach style ranks, and general level of accessibility.
I don't think halo will ever be "back" but I feel like after an era of failed games, they know that it has to change. You'd think they would have figured that out after 4, and they definitely realized it after 5, which is why infinite is so much different from the other two. That being said, infinite didn't do it right either, just differently from the other options. I'm begging with the change of leadership, with the ability to work on the games much easier than before with the swap to UE5, they drive the formula back in the right direction. All we can do is wait to find out now though.
Martin Luther King Jr. - Judge me not by the color of my skin but the content of my character. People play games to escape reality. I play halo to kill Aliens and GMO super soldiers (multiplayer.) Stop adapting and alienating your established audience in the name of inclusion when your target audience has never identified as fitting in or belonging... Aka gamers. Don't have this thing with Locke be chasing Chief because the media is currently spinning white man bad, black man good. Make the best game you can without leaving the source material. There are so many Halo books where you could reference for a new game or what about a side story that starts as a book about an experiment on a black only team to see if they had natural physical attributes which were stronger such as being taller, naturally more muscular, faster running, higher jumping, whatever it may be and base it on actual science and then hire developers who want to make a product like that and let them be involved in also telling the story of these characters which black gamers can identify with but understandable enough that other races will buy the game and feel for these men and women. Just make the goal being to make the best game possible and most importantly, people who like and believe in what they're working on. NOBODY GIVES 110% FOR A JOB THEY HATE AND A PROJECT THAT THEY DON'T LIKE TO BEGIN WITH. If you want to hire a whole trans staff, that's fine... Let them go make the game they want to make if it's not Halo but remember why people play Halo... We just want to escape the real world and kill aliens. Plenty of people can feel included there, by going out of your way to include everyone, you're going to exclude people so just make the best damn game you can and stop over thinking it.
This is really extreme and childish. People never play games to escape reality. It is just a form of entertainment. And it requires facing different difficulties. Every time I hear this kind of statement, I wonder if the person who says it has ever been exposed to entertainment.
Look. Ex bungie devs aren't shit anymore unless its the original story right. Original MP lead director. And the original quality assurance guys making sure nothing absolutely rubbish gets pushed into the final game and for however long it's lifetime continues on after that. Those are the only people that matter now. Bungie is not what it was all those years ago plain and simple. What we should be saying we want is the original pioneers of the studio. The absolute pillars that were the leaders of the teams. Not the entire teams themselves.
They are all about running away from problems they create, while discarding easy solutions because their eyes are filled with ego and ‘being better than bungie’.
Might be a silly take here.... but would a fresh beginning where Halo 3 ended/Halo 4 started, being a "bad cryo sleep nightmare" & just scrap the rest of the disaster that was Halo 4, 5 & Infinite? 🤔
i've replayed the campaign of all Halo bungie like 50 times at least. Made 4's around 5 times. But Infinite ...... i just can't, i get bored Really quickly
I think the move to unreal engine shows some real progress, and if anything an industry standard engine will help with Microsoft’s hiring policies…all we can do is hope
The only thing 343 should be remembered is at least they tried to keep the Halo franchise at alive for example Master Chief collection would be great if they add Halo 5 and Infinite to the MCC as a final goodbye from 343 like how Bungie did with Reach. Yeah they made lots of mistakes. But all I see what 343 did is kept the Halo franchise despite the games they made failed (exclude Halo Wars 2).
Now that they've rebranded as Halo studios, maybe Microsoft will start to let loose with some untold stories about how bad 343 was. The goal would be to convince us that Halo the studios will revitalize Halo the games, but in truth, we know they're just changing names. Hell, FNTASTIC did the same thing after The Day Before
You could say that they didnt get Chief's character wrong, but adding more dialogue for him when (imo at least) it does not actually improve the story or storytelling, it's feels at best a very surface level attempt and humanising him. And while I'm not saying the books are wrong to give him more dialogue, I think that theme could be explored very effectively even without necessarily adding more Chief dialogue in the game.

@ they have a lot of fixing up to do aside from changing the studio name which sounds cool but means nothing.

0:50 even had a hard time saying it or admitting it 😂
It’s a lie though. Everything 343 has touched has turned to 💩
343 need to learn that you can add to Halo without changing what was already established and 343 never fucken learns.
that's always been their issue, they absolutely despise what bungie made from what i see and they're just doing the bare minimum courtesy by keeping the name and chief in it, they never acknowledge anything that happened prior to their games other than cheap throwbacks and nostalgia bait.

Say what you will about Halo 5 Guardians (and you can say a great deal), but there was a lot of fun to be had with it's multi-player.
343 can just never seem to get the balance between campaign and multi-player right.

But a kinda meh multiplayer

@@shanedussault740 Exactly.
As for Infinite, it had some interesting campaign elements but still left a lot to be desired.

Yeah, on point. A fair assessment on the positives and negatives.
Master Chief lost his sense of humor since 343 took over
Well it's mostly on scenes with Cortana or Johnson + that one time in front of a grunt at Halo 2. But come on, can't he have some fun with Echo 216 or Blue Team?
Totally agree on Halo Infinite multiplayer core gameplay. They should just copy and paste to the next game. They nailed movement and equipment!
Exactly. The content wasn't consistent enough to keep people invested. An entire year with only two maps released killed it immediately. Imagine Bioware getting a crack at Halo, giving Halo the Mass Effect trilogy treatment

If ID were put in charge of a halo flood themed action game that would be interesting.
They should get some people that like or loves halo at least one person to work with "Halo studios"
There is no Halo Studios, there is no X.
That AI Roland seems interesting, and the infinity supercarrier, what happened to it, I wonder?

Management dictates the vision and culture of a project, ultimately influencing the final product. This is evident in the workplace dynamic where employees execute tasks under the supervision of their bosses, who approve every aspect of their work. Therefore, a change in management inherently leads to a shift in vision and culture, resulting in a significantly different product. I loved halo 5’s multiplayer so much more than infinites. I loved that mode they made with the flag in the middle and a team on each side that mode was amazing.

I remember watching the Halo 4 production ads on Halo Channel (RIP). The 343 team was pretty enthusiastic, and expressed a desire to continue the Halo legacy in their own way. Of course, we have the hindsight and info now to know that their enthusiasm was one of selfish pride. Their minimum rap sheet:
Barring out Bungie devs except by necessity,
Trying and failing to recast the Chief and Cortana
Changing the art style {the Halo 4 and 5 UNSC logo is emblematic of this} for the hell of it
Putting the Flood in the backseat by not having them be a direct PVE enemy in a main Halo release
Copying features from Call of Duty, Fortnite, and (during Infinite's development phase as a hero shooter) Overwatch
Halo Studios is trying to sell us on that same enthusiasm and energy, again referencing the past in order to make a statement about there being a new chapter.

I still hold by the opinion that Halo is basically dead. It will never be the same as it was back in the golden years. Under Microsoft, the only hope is for it to eventually enter public domain or for Microsoft to not give a fuck about it and the community to build back a better Halo through their own fan-made games and mods.
I think whether you are more positive or negative about Halo Studios, we should all just wait until the next Halo Game. If they manage to do it well, then good for them and good for us. But if they fail, then Microsoft should simply give the IP to another studio and give them a try.

If you've read this far share some aspects of halo you cherished growing up and what you would like to see come back
Looking forward to the future....the past is history

I'm hopeful because they got rid of the 343 and most of the people who made up 343 being the directors and such
I don't think halo will ever be "back" but I feel like after an era of failed games, they know that it has to change. All we can do is wait to find out now though.
funny thing is the Loadouts, Spartan Ops, and Sprint of Halo 4 and 5 was the only good to come from 343i

343 had massive chance with infinite and they blew it
Might be a silly take here.... but would a fresh beginning where Halo 3 ended/Halo 4 started, being a "bad cryo sleep nightmare" & just scrap the rest of the disaster that was Halo 4, 5 & Infinite? 🤔

I reeally really dnt want a reboot nor i dnt believe we deserve that.
I believe they need to restart on halo 4 & work their way up again
