Hendy Woods Camping and a Hike in the Redwoods

Some video from our camping trip to one of our favorite locations: Hendy Woods.
Hendy Woods State Park is located about a half hour inland from the Northern California coast a little ways south of Mendocino. The campground is adjacent to a couple of magnificent redwood groves that you can hike through and explore. There are also loads of wineries nearby, and some pretty amazing apple cider can be purchased from the local apple growers. The local (and very quiet) coastal town of Elk is nearby and you can park in the little lot downtown and walk to the small beach like we did. Our favorite B&B (The Elk Cove Inn) overlooks the beach. Just be aware that the town mostly closes down on weekdays in the offseason.
Mendocino is just a little ways up the coast, or you can go south and expore the lighthouse at Pt. Arena. The town of Boonville is very close to Hendy Woods and has some places to eat as well as the Anderson Valley Brewing Company.
The campsite itself has nice tent sites, showers, and is very peaceful.
