Last week? Guess when I caught them last Thursday was extremely close before they went out of service. Either way catching G510 and old 1A was so worth it.
@@metraforce441 Um, back in 2012 or 2013, Arvell used to record that spare G510 while the original S2 first piece was taken to a shop while 2A was still in used and they used the spare G487 as 2A.
Usually It’s the second piece of the box truck and they both share equipment. Sometimes the snorkel is deployed and uses the lift like how a tower ladder does when fighting more bigger fires.
Technical rescues and acting as a pocket tower ladder; with its shorter wheelbase, it can fit into alleyways and vacant lots that a full-size tower ladder can't.
Instead of sending an engine and ladder you can just send a squad since the first piece has extrication tools and TRT tools while the second piece has the extra pieces and has the platform and had attack and supply lines so its a engine truck and squad all in one
Those two are in spares and yes both are essentially a whole unit. There was this one instance when I did see 2A responding alone while Sq2 was at a hazmat call a block away.
I remember when 2 & 2A was the front line before it was replaced by the Rosenbauer. They had PA sirens and they used to fly down the main avenues...
I saw both of Squad 2's frontlines at the fleet shops while I was riding the Metra Rock Island line last Friday.

Excellent catch, love your channel
Thank you so much!
It’s effectively squad 3 from Chicago fire and love your vids
Pretty much and thanks!
Squad 3 uses a HME to Season 1 to 2 idk why they put on instead of a Spartan Saulsbary.
Squad 2: Camelot!
Squad 2a: Camelot!
Battalion 7: On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. 'Tis a silly place.
Nice catch!!
Thanks!
I think that spare snorkel was ex snorkel 1 2 or 5. I'm not sure.
EX 1A since 1A doesn’t have silver on the front where the headlights are.

They hafta get some real Q's.
Amazing Catch!! 💙🚒
Thanks!
In the show Chicago Fire, why doesn’t squad three have a squad 3A?
@MOPARGuy I know that. But wouldn’t it just make sense for it to have a 3A
What duties does the squad with the platform perform?

What call were they going to??
Fire
All Squad trucks are one company. They are not spares, both trucks run the same calls I heard?

Holy shit I'm jealous but I support it nice one!
Thanks! Hopefully you get some luck too!
With apologies to Blue Oyster Cult:
OOHHHH NOOOOO, THERE GOES CHICAGO, GO GO SQUADZILLA!
Epic!!
Thanks!
@@metraforce441 Np!
Squad 3 without all the tattoos for the show.
Pretty much
Great push out
Thanks!
Those two will far outlast the new Rosenbauer crap they got.
Nice
Thanks!
Battalion 7 going for a 🌯
I prefer these trucks over the rosenbauer fire trucks. The rosenbauers just look ugly
