Beautiful ladder. Great catch. Looks and sounds good. I would have had the siren screaming and the air horn blasting though. One thing that really pisses me off though is when people don't seem to know what braking and pulling over for emergency vehicles. Yep apparently I'm still severely allergic to stupid people and idiots in cars. I mean how the hell can they not see bright flashing emergency lights and hear sirens. I thank all emergency responders for their service, dedication and patience.

A day after this was filmed, This truck broke down and they couldn't find another spare rig, so Truck 20 had to be browned out (placed out of service) for three days. Thankfully, Truck 20 is using a much newer spare. Besides, That rig is close to 30 years old and should be retired!

That spare Spartan Unit still going. Old saying if nothing wrong with it hold on to it. It also goes to show you how reliable the older rigs are. FDNY still have a few 2002 Seagrave Rearmounts in spare service. Also CFD as well still have older Seagrave Rearmounts from 1993-1996 don’t know the exact years. FDNY just recently retired their last 2002 Spare Towel Ladder Ex Ladder 9. It’s somewhere in Pennsylvania privately owned now.

Why doesn't that rig just retire already? As always, nice catch!

Engine 18 pulling out of Firehouse 51! Pretty cool that Engine 18 is housed at Firehouse 51 where Squad 3, Truck 81, Engine 51, Ambulance 61 and Battalion 25 are! For a second I thought Engine 18 was gonna pull out of Squad 3's bay😂
