you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Joziah Isaias Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Glad I watched this, it convinces me I don't need the fog lights. It's really disappointing that Honda made this as difficult as it is to install fog lights when they could easily have installed wiring for them ready to go when assembling the bike. No way am I tearing this much body work apart, nor am I going to pay a shop for the hours it would take to do it. I can live without them.
I agree. I'd like to have these lights, but having to do this much disassembly is ridiculous. This is almost as bad as doing an air filter change. That would be the time to do this mod, but I'm not doing this much disassembly just to install these lights...
Part of owning a motorcycle is tinkering with it and satisfaction that u done it yourself I got mine from China £150 would have bought the honda ones but £550 what a rip off only for postage, customs chargers I would have got these . I llve in the UK not much choice here .
During lockdown i had alot of time to attempt to fit my Pathfinder LED lights.on my Wing with Airbag. Found out its not necessary to remove the saddle and the mirrors and all the plastic fairings , its easy remove the plastic pins on either side of the inner area next to the control panel, pull up the edge nearest the control panel hard, the clips unlock and presto u will see 5mm allen bolts which u remove and this allows u to pull the control panel and fold it backwards in order to remove and replace the light button. I recommend care and protect edges with tape and a few clothes to proctect the tank etc. The only grief i had was the fuse box screw to attach the live cable to the screw a phillips, (i was told there are no phillip screws on the Wing too late) was so tight the screw was us...so a drill and easy out and all done...its a nice do it yourself but study what cruiseman does as it helps alot...
I admire your dedication I would have thought installing one set of driving lights would be more than enough for most people, look forward to the comparison
Wow, really nice informative video. Makes me NOT want to trade my 2013 F6B for a new wing. Thats a lot of work. I did my own on my 2013 including installing a nice stock button. That is a lot of parts and panels to mess with. Not sure My heart can take that level of disassembly on a new bike. Good for you...You are more brave than I am.
I do appreciate your attention to detail and clarity with explanations, however the lighting in this video leaves much to be desired! Other than that, I think you do great work! Thanks!!
Your videos are the BEST ! I suppose if you plan to also install home link, XM antenna or other Honda accessories which require you to tear your bike apart, it would be best to plan the installation of all accessories at the same time. 😊
J ai commence mais il manque des explication pour retirer le support console...il y a encore pleins de vises sur les cotes au niveau du frein a main de la trappe à essence...avez vous une video pour cette partie ??
I have a 2018 Goldwing DCT Airbag. I was told if I wanted the fog lights, not only will I have to buy the lights like the ones you installed, I would have to buy a wire harness that included the button as well. It appears to me your bike had wiring already installed and all you had to do was remove the dummy plug. Should that apply to mine as well and I don't need to buy a separate wiring harness?
Nevermind. After some research, the place you connected it to was for the separate wiring harness that needs to be ordered. All the attachments you used comes with the kit and not with the fog lights.
Hi , thank you for the video , ( yes I am very late ....) , once again it's very explicit and very well filmed. Just a little question, it seemed to me that there was a "dead plug" on the bottom right of the bike (on some years maybe...) available for the fog lights and controlled by a button to add on the console ? is it true ?
I took mine to the dealer to have them installed also trunk rack and brake light. Today I noticed many push pins missing and at least 1 screw missing. Don't know what else they failed to reinstall. Just goes to show that dealers don't know how to work on them yet.Scared to take it back to them.
Have you ever used a Japanese JIS-4 screwdriver, they sure fit those "Phillips" head screws better than that square drive Phillips you are using here...
@@frankward8003 The other three companies reached out to me and sent me their kits to review and sponsored the videos I created (or, will create). I would love to see and review the EC lights.
The lights are not hard to adjust up and down, as they are held in place by a vertical mount. Moving them side to side is very difficult. Check your state laws on how high the lights should be mounted. In most states you are ok if the CENTER of the light that is cast is below the actual light at 25 feet.
Hey Cruiseman! My 2024 Gold Wing was equipped with factory installed fog lights... will these Pathfinder lights be a simple swap, or does the wiring and switch need to be changed out? Thank you!
Thanks Cruiseman. Probably so comparisons can’t easily be made. The most important benefit of lighting is power. How much useable light will be discharged. I’d go with the Rivco lights any day. 6k lumens is a bunch of good light.
The Electrical Connection has a comparison chart of the major fog light brands for the 2018 Gold Wing...they claim the Honda fog lights have 880 lumen each light...the Rivco are rated at 3000 lumen each light....electricalconnection.com/index.php/product/honda-goldwing-tour-foglight-kit/
That's a lot of disassembly! I think what you're calling "body clips" are actually called push pins...if you don't install the switch, will these lights work? You could just remove the the side, front, and center engine cowlings to be able to get at the plugs. Then the lights would be on anytime the headlights are on, and you wouldn't have to remove all of that upper stuff just to install the switch.
So with this set up you can run the fog lights with either the high or low beams on? Do you know what the laws are regarding running fog lights and high beams at the same time? I'm told its illegal but can't find any national law regarding it.
Nice job again. You mentioned aiming these but didn't describe that process. Can I assume it's idiot proof? ;-)> IMHO fog lights should be a standard feature on this bike considering the price tag and Honda shouldn't gouge the buyer like it does On another note, I have noticed that you have removed and replaced the same components over and over as you've done various upgrades. It would be great to have a compiled list of upgrades that one can do whilst these major parts are off the first time (home link, fog lights etc.) in order to save time, possible breakage of clips and avoid the possibility of mis-routing of wires etc. If anyone has the knowledge to put something like that together, it's you! Again, thanks for sharing.
It is pretty straightforward and the Honda directions explain how to do it. Basically, you loosen one bolt on the adjuster bracket and you have a limited range you can adjust.
There are no, repeat; NO Phillips screws on Honda motorcycles. The screws are JIS and we should be using JIS drivers to remove them in order to avoid rounding them off. Don't you hear that "click - click - click" as you remove screws? You are ruining them. #2 JIS fits most of them.
Only saw your thread now and i had an issue on my fuse box, the live wire i could not remove the screw with a phillips, ended up drilling and easy out.....s

Yes, I got lazy and used the first Phillips I found. My JIS was out in my 26 degree garage!
@@cruisemansgarage Are you doing this in the house? 300 miles south of you it's 52 degrees
Hello bravo good job bonne route
Do you prefer these OEM fog lights or the Rivco units you installed previously?
Let me spend a little more time with these. I am planning to do a 3-way comparison between Honda, Rivco and SoCalMotoGear.
You need to compare the new Electrical Connection fog light kit that is being released Feb 1 as well
@@frankward8003 The other three companies reached out to me and sent me their kits to review and sponsored the videos I created (or, will create). I would love to see and review the EC lights.
You don’t say how to adjust the lights? Almost impossible to adjust once on The bike right? How do you check for proper setting?
The lights are not hard to adjust up and down, as they are held in place by a vertical mount. Moving them side to side is very difficult. I think it is an even swap.
Good video, thanks!
This and the video to change air filter kind of seals the deal to not wanting to buy the Goldwing.
only one point, when you show the centre console being put back together it is with the OEM switch as there is not symbol on it.
He just reversed the procedure on video , I noticed that too .
do the fog lights stay on after a shut-down and restart of the engine ?
Nice job Cruise. The Rivco’s are 6k lumens a piece. How many are these?
Honda does not release that info.
Thanks Cruiseman. Probably so comparisons can’t easily be made. The most important benefit of lighting is power. How much useable light will be discharged. I’d go with the Rivco lights any day. 6k lumens is a bunch of good light.

Very instructive video 🤔 very well explained👏 as always.Thank you👌
Showing how to adjust the lights and then finish tightening all the nuts would have been nice. Other than that this was a very nice video.

Honda Fog Lights shut off when the hi-beams are on.
@@cruisemansgarage So hooking up the fog lights with the high beam switch won't interfere with using a head light modulator???
3 hrs? For me, closer to 24 hrs because I would have to rewind many times. I only hope my dealer can install without forgetting a connection.
Holy crap, I really don't need the fog lights that bad!! Great video though.

What is the estimated time it takes to install these? My dealer says over 2 hours????
Two hours for a dealer is reasonable. If you have never removed body parts, a novice should allow 3 to 4 hours.
I don't know why they don't just add it to the Tour bike. Id rather they do it then have to go thru all this. Looks like a real pain.
They could have at least included the button on the console.

Those are not Phillips screws, they are Japanese JIS you are stripping every screw.
Absolute total overkill by Honda! So many unnecessary steps!
