Very informative video. I just purchased a left over 2018 goldwing (non-tour) model. Getting the plastic off is not inuitively obvious. I just added several honda accessories: foglights, audio cable, entry lights, power plug, extra USB cable, backrest and rear carrier. I knew that taking all the tuperware off was going to be a lot of work so I waited until I had all the assesories I wanted and installed them all at once. Thanks again for the informative video.
I followed these instructions using the Short cut for the panel. Works great. I had the button in quicker than I thought I would. Maybe 10-15 min. One point of concern. Make sure you are careful putting the tabs back for the top shelter where you pop it out on the shortcut. I broke the where the tab goes in. This does not take a ton of pressure to break either. I found the broken piece. I will fix it when i take it all the way apart and take the top shelter off. Kinda pisses me off that I was so stupid. If I took my time to line it up right it just pops right in. I was off a bit. The lights are very bright. I still have it on the lift table. Going to give her bike a good Detail tomorrow. Fred thank you for your video series. I love to do things on my own and the best money spent Besides what was spent on the bike.
Do I have to install the new button or can I just buy a little light sticker for what's there unless it's a dummy button on the panel? Getting my Wing today so haven't looked at it all yet. Wish the factory would of included fog lights but oh well, I bought a leftover 2018 Wing for 16k out the door brand new! Couldn't beat the price. Also, how do you like the bike so far? Any main issues? Did you do the GPS update? I am gonna do that today once it get delivered. Or, are there fog lights where I don't need a button and they are just on 100% of the time even when I put on my brights?
Did you try to shrink the rubber boot on those bullet connectors with a heat gun, to keep moisture out of the connection? Very good video instruction with attention to detail. New sub to your channel.
Will these lights work if the button isn't installed? The button just allows you to turn off the lights, is that correct? The lights appear to be wired in line with the headlights...if you don't mind them being on all of the time, installing the switch can be skipped...
It appears in the video that existing wiring was used.It would be much easier to do that if it is possible. Honda suggest using their wiring harness. My question is was the harness put on prior to the fog light video or is it there when you buy the bike?
Will this OEM button allow you to run the fog lights whether the headlights are on either high or low beam or does it automatically turn the fog lights off when the high beam is on?

Hi Fred have you ever removed the fog light switch. Is it easy to remove.

The Electrical Connection kit plugs into the OEM wiring as shown. That connector is already on your bike!

an exacto knife would do a much better job of getting those tabs off! With no risk of sanding the outer area by mistake!
