Cancelled my Sirens pledge today. The longer the campaign progressed, I got an overwhelming feeling that game is more of an ambitious vision than anywhere close to a fleshed out game, and the prototype being really not more than a very specific and limited showcase of ambition. Oh, the weird ceiling perspective is, well, weird. And unsettling.
Seeing the ceiling in so much of the video is strange for sure. Almost looks like a green screen. The textured ceiling seems too close to your head. Maybe use the game table set up or sit down? Not sure how to fix seeing the ceiling so much in the shot. My standing desk, I put sliders under the legs so I can move it. Maybe you could put a small Kalax next to the desk for a backdrop and move the desk temporarily?

Had my eye on DC United but it seems that Crowdfunding board games is getting impossible for rest of world backers when looking at $148 shipping and it's not just CMON. I have followed other games as well. I'm glad to see that at least the prices for the US have gone down. Will catch it when it goes to retail, just a pity to loose out on the exclusives. But as always I appreciate the content Alex
My secret wish is that the "big" games wouldn't get most of the minutes coverage. To which you can say "But those big games are also genuinely the best", to which I can say that's fair but also they don't actually needs crowdfunding then. So my secret wish remains for smaller creators get more of the "hype".
As a horror fan, Terrorscape is one I was interested in the first time, but waited to see what reviews would be from non-UA-camrs. It's been very positive for the most part, so it's one I'm more comfortable backing now that we know it's good. Good games often return for a second run or expansion, especially when it's a smaller publisher.
I wish it would be sold in retail. I really want to get the game and I bet my friends would like it, but I would have to pay extra $42 for shipping + VAT just for the base game :/
Back in 2022 when Queen launched these games for the first time, I passed b/c of the price point. I saved a note that if I found any of the games I liked for under $95 then I would have "won" not backing the campaign. Two years later I can get all the games again, plus an expansion (camels), plus metal coins, plus the english versions of cards for two of the games for $285 + $50 shipping = $335. Now, I don't want NY, or the metal coins, so I could sell those together, and then "make money". If I did the add-on $5 tier, H $79, A $79, M $89, Camels $49, shipping $22 = $323. Although on the shipping chart it lists "single game" for $22, so if I got 3 games plus the ex is that $66 or $88, either of which is more than the $50 shipping for the all in bundle.
I backed terrorscape the last time it was up, money well spent, my kids enjoy playing it and adults as well, its easy to play, clever mechanics and looks great on the table. I have gone back for the expansion, the box and other bits and pieces. I didn't want to get the sundropped stuff as when I got my pledge and played it a few times I loved it so much I spent my week off at Christmas painting it all up, so will do the same when the expansions turned up. Be interesting to see your thoughts on it.
I really wanted to like brink because I love Moonrakers, but Shelfside's review turned me off due to too much randomness for a worker placement. The exploring doesn't seem to fit as well with how tight the game is since it's only 3 rounds. So the amount of luck seems to outweigh the strategy of the game. They get a dollar from me to access the pledge manager for the Moonrakers content though.
While I would absolutely love to get my hands on Terrorscape...the logistics they are using makes shipping to my 3rd world corner country absolutely absurd. Will hope that sometime in the future I can pick up a cheap-sih copy 2nd hand...in 5 years.
I will be all-in on DC United at the end of the campaign. It is unfortunate that CMON absorbs almost all of my boardgaming budget. It does mean I get other top games at much lower prices as they're a couple years old once I look to buy them.

As a big Marvel fan and also a fan of Marvel United, I'm envious about the treatment DC is getting. I wish it was the other way around, as I almost don't care about DC at all..
I'm backing DC United, but did not back or buy any of the Marvel United stuff. I wonder how many are like me... From what I've read, it seems that CMON has iterated the United series by adding new mechanics with each version, much like they did with their Zombicide series.

Descriptor + Gender was a thing very much as part of the Zeitgeist and remarked about in Legion. I am curious if you research Power Girl, aka Supergirl from another dimension, and the history of her .....ummm.... appearance with Wally Wood as the artist.

Deep Regrets is just Dredge but as a Card game. Some info is Dredge is a 2023 indie game that was really popular for combining fishing with Cthulhu Mythos.
I wouldnt really say that its a universe from manny for 20 strong becsuse they are just clearly stolen ideas from little red riding hood, alice in wonderland and snow white

The game is so good. One of the campaigns I’ve been most thankful I backed. Glad it’s come back for people who missed it the first time.

Deep Regrets looked great. But I deeply regret that they ran a pre-pledge campaign, so I will not be backing it.

shipping for Terrorscape is very expensive for some regions.
And they refuse to use local fulfillment so it’s expensive plus additional vat for some countries which don’t usually have to pay vat
