    I’m so happy you’re feeling better.
    The cheese looked so simple to make, and now I have no excuse for using an inferior cheese sauce. Thank you for teaching this old fog a new trick. 👍

    G'day again.
    OK that took a bit longer to watch as I had to pause you and go heat up some food. I am so weak. 🤣
    Good stuff LeAnne.

    Agree with you, the Vitamix is a game changer, love mine too, Make peanut butter for hubby with no salt (tho I do add a pinch, what he doesn't know won't hurt him) with no added 'junk' and it tastes so good.

    I agree, everyting is better the next day once the flavors hang out and do their magic. My sister had a friend gift her a Vitamix because the friend was moving 🎁 I'll have to ask my sister if she's made soups or cheese sauces in it, your recipe is nice!

    I love watching your videos and rarely comment. I just want to mention that I got a sterile gut from a brain surgery I had in 2012. They put me on so many antibiotics that all my gut bacteria died. That was more painful than the brain surgery. It took my months to recover! Lots of fermented foods. Good luck and God Bless you :)

    LeAnne, don't know how I missed this video when published. I ALWAYS learn new things from you! Vitamins for cheese sauce..LIGHT BULB MOMENT! I have one that doesn't get used nearly enough. Would love more vitamix "recipes" if you will. This casserole looks super yummy. I agree with you, cooking from scratch SO much better for you and cheaper then processed foods. Thanks for sharing your talents and wisdom. Blessings to you!-Lori

      I plan to show how to make Mayo and other dressings in the future using the Vitamix. I also thought about showing how to make pizza dough and bread using the Vitamix as well. I was worried that there wasn’t a desire for that.

    I can sympathize with your antibiotic reaction; I too had the same reaction. It took two years before my stomach felt almost normal after a 14-day run of taking 3 different antibiotics. It was awful!!!
    As I am watching you make your casserole, and listening to you talk about your husband liking mac n cheese a thought came to my mind... Instead of using hashbrowns, use elbow macaroni so you have bake mac n cheese over sloppy joes. Yum!
    I have a vita mixer and don't use it nearly enough. You have inspired me take it off the shelf and make better use of it. Thanks!
    Blessings, K.

    This looks really good Leanne like something my family would like to eat. I always wanted a Vitamix but never ended up with one and at this stage of my life I probably won't get one so I guess I'll have to do the cheese sauce with the elbow grease but that's all right it's not hard. Thank you I'm glad you're feeling better

    This looks delicious and an easy recipe. Saving this just for the cheese sauce recipe! Do you use the heat button on your Vitamix while making the sauce? Very glad you are recovering. Remember to drink lots of fluids-even when you think you are finished with your illness. Do you have the dry container for your Vitamix? Very useful for grinding grains into flour. Unless you have an actual mill, of course. Wish I had a mill.

    • @MennoniteFarmhouse
      @MennoniteFarmhouse  3 роки тому +1

      It doesn’t have a heat button but the motor is 2.4 Hp and the blades go so fast that it creates friction that will heat up food and can be boiling after 6 minutes. I know I need to get in a better habit of drinking water.

    • @joylouise5417
      @joylouise5417 3 роки тому

      @@MennoniteFarmhouse So the heat is a help. Will be making the cheesy potatoes in my crockpot today. Need some sloppy Joe starter before I can make that-all my tomatoes were canned into tomato sauce.

    Hi LeAnne, new viewer here, question for you. How you made your cheese sauce blew my mind! Could I use a Blender?

    • @MennoniteFarmhouse
      @MennoniteFarmhouse  2 роки тому

      Do you mean a blender that’s not high speed? You might be able to but it would take way longer and wear it out. If you don’t have a blender like mine, it’s best to do it on the stove and keep stirring.

    I eat low carb so instead of a layer of cheesy potatoes, I'd use a layer of cheesy cauliflower.
    Yum!
    Then I'd sprinkle shredded cheese on top for the last hour in the crockpot.😊🍳

      Oh that’s a great idea…. I could do half and half of the cauli and potatoes… I need low card but husband needs all the carbs he can get. My Crocktober video that’s coming out Tuesday is low carb… at least the main course is.
