I found one of my dolls from childhood recently and made her a mini shawl/blanket from the Half+Half Triangles Wrap pattern, instead of doing a regular swatch. Same idea as Stephen's adorable Vertices Unite mini shawl. All I had to do was cast on a smaller number of stitches than the full-size pattern called for, then follow the rest of the pattern as written. Sixty stitches instead of 260. It also served as a practice run before I began the full size project.
Yay, love the new pattern updates! I’ve had this pattern in my favorites for a while. I finally pulled together my wonderful colors to make this amazing shawl. I’m on section 3 now, so finding this video is golden!
Your tutorials are so helpful and the directions clear. I am knitting my second Vertices but needed a refresher on this section. I found using a couple of DPN's to get the first inches started easier than dealing with the cable on the longer circular. I guess I''ll be the 8263rd project of your excellent pattern.
I bought your pattern Vertices Unite yesterday. I am a beginner knitter. Thank you for sharing your videos so that everyone can knit your designs, regardless of our knitting level. I would love it if little by little your patterns were also in Spanish in Ravelry. Thanks a lot, Stephen.
I appreciate the visual on this section. My first attempt, I failed as I couldn't wrap my head around the section 3 and I tried so many times that I ruined what I had already knitted. I tried again a couple months back and did it first try. This shawl is my most complimented piece. It is a dream to knit.
One of my favorite patterns...made two baby blankets and they are/ were just perfect for babies (unlike square blankets) Bless you for your visionary designing!!
Oh what wonderful timing, I am working on my second vertices unite, and that was the trickiest part of the first one. watching your other videos and your saying “don’t stress, just say yes” helped me through that section so so much through section 3. This second one I will be using a lovely red color as a color pop for section 3. All done in lovely drops alpaca :) Thank you for all the helpful video!
This was such a fun and addictive knit. It flew off the needles, and I made the big one! It also was a great way to use some of those single skeins in stash. I give it an A+!
Knit the small size shawl for your _craft-worthy_ friends and family. One crafter recently included a story in a video she posted about how she made hand spun, hand knitted socks for someone. The socks were presented at a Christmas party at a night club or similar, and _the recipient left them behind._ Fortunately Jente (the crafter) found the socks and regifted them to someone who valued them, her mother.
Совсем не знаю английского. Но смотрю ваши видео с удовольствием. Вы знаете что в России у Вас огромное количество поклонников? Ваша фантазия потрясает. Успехов!!!
Accidental channel find that turned out great. I really like how you highlight the stitches you're specifically working on; it makes it great to be able to check things as you go. I'm subbing and looking forward to exploring the channel and your site. Thanks!
This is my top Stephen West shawl pattern. Also love the baby blanket. This pattern can be made quickly, never boring. I have made it in fingering, double sock, dk, worsted. Love them all.Thank you Mr. West.
One of my favorite shawls. I am working on my 4th. 🎉 I'm looking forward to making lots of the mini's, they would be nice for my joy-box or unexpected pops of color randomly placed around our home.
Thank you for the updated version of this shawl, I am finally making it and don't seem to get 177 stitches. I get 10 stitches short. Instead of 177 stitches I get 167 stitches. Please help soonest.
As I can't buy the pattern from where I am, could I ask something? How do you start the shawl?...you're brilliant, Stephen- such a ray of sunshine in these dreary days)
I bought this pattern on Ravelry some time last year. The schematic you mentioned is not included and there is no update listed in ravelry or in my email. What am I missing?
I'm really excited to start my first go at this shawl. I have my colors picked put, but not sure yet how I want to arrange them. I really like the mini swatch version as a test idea, but can't seem to find it on ravelry or your website. Is it under a specific name?
The mini swatch version is included when you purchase the Vertices Unite pattern. It's one of the files available to download when you click on the pattern in your library. If you can't find it, please send a message to hello@westknits.com so that we can further assist you.
Gracias.
Me encantan tus vídeos.Trato de entender lo que haces pero el idioma es un impedimento para mí.Siento que pierdo muchas de tus explicaciones por el camino.

At last you did a tutorial for that section 3🎉😂I did it “learning by doing” - I’ve already made 3 VU - I love that pattern❤
You’re great Stephen👌🥰

I am on the last bobbin of spinning the yarn to make this shawl, long in my queue. Perfect timing and much appreciation!

I’ve knit 2 Vertices Unite shawls, and now I want to make a bunch of tiny shawls. What a great idea to see how your colours work together!
I bet 2 of the mini swatch size seamed together on the long side would make a cute potholder ❤

Few years ago I made the small version and I still love my shawl. It’s a beautiful pattern. Thank you very much for the new version
Thank you for showing section three. I am knitting section two for the time being, and I am looking forward to the next. 😀
This was such a fun and addictive knit. It flew off the needles, and I made the big one! It also was a great way to use some of those single skeins in stash. I give it an A+!
I love that you have a mini swatch, for so many reasons ❤

A $25 gift card to the Olive Garden would have been just fine for that person.
Ouch.

The mini is a perfect chin warmer 😂. Just add loops to put over your ears….. Or, alternatively it could be a cool pet bandana.
Steampunk Pirate Eye Patch. 😅
Where can I find a tutorial for Vertices unite section one, please???!

Scared of knitting this shawl, are there alot of yarn sticking out at the back?
I like to weave in the ends as I go. Here's a video to demonstrate: ua-cam.com/video/Fz292NAjH2M/v-deo.html
