I love that no matter what Johnny never has said anything negative about Mr Miyagi and when training he was saying how boring Miyagi Do was but when he realized how badass Mr Miyagi was he went right back to training, wherever Mr Miyagi is he’s proud of Daniel for hashing things out with all 3 of his former rivals much like Miyagi did with Sato

One thing I was worried about when this show was announced was how they would handle Miyagi and Pat Morita's legacy, but they really handled it well. Daniel is still occasionally a dumbass and some of Miyagi's lessons that we've already seen are recontextualized in his adult life
The ONE and BELOVED Mr. Miyagi. A TRUE karate grandmaster and a TREASURE of a teacher. In all of his fights from Karate Kid I to IV no opponent, no matter how good he was, could even lay a finger on him. He never fought with his fists or kicks, but with his brain, his heart, his soul, his whole existence. Always utilizing the PURE nature and power of the REAL Karate. That's why he never had an equal! Mr. Miyagi FOREVER! May you be at peace for all eternity! Thank you, Mr. Miyagi ... 🙏
True Mr Miyagi is the 🐐 and the strongest character in the Cobra kai and Karate kid universe but I'd say Sato Toguchi and Master Kim Sun Yung are on Mr Miyagis level of Strength
Technically mr miyagi got hit once in karate kid II during his fight with chozen. After chozen let go of Daniel and Mr miyagi turned his back to check on Daniel chozen hit mr miyagi in the back with the handle of the spear but when he was facing his opponent’s he never got hit
The one clip which is missing from this great throw back to Mr. Myagi is Johnny using the Myagi blocking techniques when he is fighting Silver at the old Cobra Kai dojo
I respect Miyagi's karate lessons: a combination of strength/aggression combined with discipline/self-control. It's not all about fighting your opponent---it's about self-respect and honor.
Johnny: “This sucks. Why do I have to paint this wall?” Daniel: “No one was more badass than Mr. Miyagi.” Johnny: “You right. I’mma go paint this wall.”

Despite everything wrong with how today's corporate entertainment handles IP's from the past by trying to twist it to today's nonsense, the sequel to the original Karate Kid in the form of a series, was one of the most beautifully done.
11:25 throughout the show Daniel was constantly trying to play the Miyagi role especially for Sam, but this scene proves that Johnny and Miguel had more of the Miyagi/Daniel relationship from the original movies

I love how he’s so dedicated to his sensei. Mr. Migayi’s teachings live on through Daniel and the new generation of karate students (Robby, Sam all his students).
0:22 Probably the most heartfelt callback to Mr Miyagi. Pat Morita still has a strong impact on the history of the Karate Kid and Ralph Macchio’s career. Love that this episode was dedicated in his memory and they finally gave Ralph his star and placed it right hear Pat’s. A bond that has never aged out through time 💙
