Someone asked me why I watch so many different people reacting to the same songs over and over. My answer has several parts: validation that I enjoy good music, enjoying music for the "first time" vicariously through other people, and knowledge and insight of what that music means to others.
My personality traits must be similar cause I’m the same way
Same way here too
Same bro i just love the reaction of others first time listening to it like i did some even are even more hype which just makes me love the song more because how it reaches so many people of different cultures and all
Thats the best way anyone has described it, i just wanna see everyone's first reaction to amazing songs like this.
It's nostalgia.
That is Zakk Wylde on guitar, Ozzy’s 3rd main guitar player throughout his solo career. He is a beast on the guitar and his tone is just incredible!!
Zakk's tone on this record is just disgusting. I've never heard anything with as much pure meat. Kia kaha
The sound of those harmonics is just pure filth. I love it. 😂
@@zappagorewaikato1009 UNDERFUCKINGRATED COMMENT MY BRO...
Zakk is a monster, but Randy was.. special. Please dont take that as an insult to Zakk, hes a fantastic guitarist but Randy was probably the best metal guitarist ever, hell he's my favorite overall. Dee is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written, and to me, Over the Mountain is the STANDARD for metal guitar.
Love that wild roar
This could easily be called the best rock song ever made. It has no weak points. It's a top tier song.
I first heard this song today and I can tell you it's one of my favorites, if not my favorite.
I agree 👍
It's metal actually
In my opinion, the same can be said about every song on the "Dairy of a Madman" album ! I classic gem.
The verse guitar is a pretty chuggy riff
That song is simply a masterpiece.
This has one of the best guitar solos I ever heard
The guitarist has his own vand, btw, called "Black Label Society," and he also fronts a Black Sabbath tribute band called Zakk Sabbath.
Yes
My uncle was actually there tour bus driver around 2005 and when I was a kid I met Zack Wylde, great guy
BLS fire it up 🔥
This was always one of my favs from Ozzy's solo phase.....killer tune. This entire album is a classic Ozzy collaboration.
I've always felt this is an introspective look into the mind of a serial killer (his internal conversation with a recent female victim). "No More Tears" appears to be a reference to an end to suffering via death (to me anyway).
Zakk Wylde is on guitar. He's an amazing guitar player and a real down-to-earth dude. His down-tuned tone is dark, thick and bad to the bone...perfect for Ozzy!
Zakk Wylde... Holy. shit. Dude just MURDERED that guitar solo (of course). Still gives me goosebumps- Wylde's an absolute madman.
One of the 10 best rock guitar solos ever in my opinion.
I’ve always loved how the drums and bass seem to walk you through this entire masterpiece of a song
This is my favourite Ozzy track of all time. It's also my favourite album. Hard to believe that this is over 30 years old. Such an epic anthemic track. Thanks for your video.
God damn I can't believe it's 30 years old I'm just now realizing that. Thast crazy
This man is good live even. His ability to sing is effortless. Watching him sing and his band play is just amazing. Back in the day when real music with real instruments was the only way to entertain and AMAZING to see
Early 90s Ozzy gem with Zakk Wylde on guitar. Great album, great song. Remember seeing this live in concert in a hall far too small for an act like Ozzy. The Paradiso in Amsterdam. Ozzy soaking everyone upfront in the audience after throwing like 8 buckets of water.
Try Bark At The Moon if you wanna listen to Ozzy's 2nd guitarist in his solo career, Jake E. Lee, also a wizzard.
Randy Rhoads was his 1st guitarist, Zakk Wylde became his 3rd in 1987 at the age of 20. Zakk is a monster on stage.
Zakk was Randy's student. That is how they connected. To this day Zakk is his choice for lead guitar. When not avaible he plays with his friend and fellow Sabbath member Toni Iomme. "Death on the 6 strings" his nickname. This No more tears album was Ozxy's first retirement in 1990. His carrer started about 1966 with the bans Earth. They became Sabbath later. The tour hosted a live video shot over 3 nights. Live and loud. A double album. The tour was nicknamed the no more tours tour. I saw him in Winnipeg Canada in 92. 1st time for me. Saw him again on the tour for Ozzmosis ( next album 1995) on his retirement sucks tour. 😅😁 Classic Ozzy. Could not stop. Seen him here in 98. Last time was about 06/7. My 3rd time. Believe me I am grateful to have had that experience. You know he was getting older and no idea how much longer he'd be around, let alone touring. Take your chance when you can to see these legends live before its too late.
The guitar in this is simply astounding. Some of THE best heavy metal playing I have ever heard.
Ozzy had the ability to be referred to as the "Prince of Darkness" while having some of the catchiest pop riffs in metal songs. Another band that could be both brooding yet catchy was Type O Negative. Their songs "Love You to Death" and "Christian Woman" have that kinda simultaneously dark yet very melodic songs.
Zakk Wylde is a great guitarist...he definitely helped define Ozzy's solo sound
Zakk is the bet. But let's not forget Randy Rhoads - the friggin sorcerer !
@@mikek9297 Jake E Lee is also great.
@@mikek9297 Zakk was a bet that paid of very well.
Try "Perry Mason" from Ozzy, also with Zakk on guitar from a later album. It's a straight up banger
One of his best...no less than a face ripper!
Featuring The Late Great Randy Castillo on Drum's His Last Album With Ozzy Osbourne !!! Watch The Documentary( The Life Rhythm and Blood of Randy Castillo ) Excellent Doc !!! R.I.P. Randy Castillo !!!
The song is about a fictional modern-day Jack the Ripper. Ozzy's music is almost always melancholy, and dark.
Red Miner is right the first albums with Randy Rhoads are amazing ---Revelation Mother Earth, Mr. Crowley, Suicide Solution, S.A.T.O, You Ca't Kill Rock n Roll, and Diary of a Madman are very juicy. His entire discography is amazing. cheers
Mike Inez killing that bass!
If you want an Ozzy + RR deep cut, try "Revelation (Mother Earth)" You will not be dissapointed.
Zakk Wylde is an absolute pentatonic beast....I love his harmonic vibrato which is his signature.....I became an instant fan from grade 5, more than 25 years ago ..
GOT to do Bark at the Moon. And pay close attention to the guitar work - Jake E Lee is a master.
@@Sco3000 Bark at the Moon was never Randy.
Good choice! Ozzy always has great guitarists around him. Zakk Wylde also has his own band- Black Label Society. Another rabbit hole to explore!
Diary of a madman is a masterpiece. Please consider.....
'Perry Mason' is the bombest Ozzy song imo. Zakk's guitar work is tip top.
Ozzmosis is an often overlooked album that never got the credit it deserved. Perry Mason is a killer tune
Mike Inez from Alice in Chains was Ozzy's bass player before he joined AiC. He didn't play on this album, but was on the tour.
Super dark lyrically and the bass riff, the synth and solo. It's all incredible....and the breakdown and build up to the solo.
This song never fails to make my hair stand on end.
Thanks! One of my all time favorites.
That is a living legend guitarist you just heard.. your welcome
And Mike Inez who is now in Alice in Chains, since the mid 90s, when AIC wanted Mike Inez to be in their band Mike had to ask Ozzy what he thought.. Ozzy really liked Alice in Chains and told Mike he'd be an idiot if he didn't go to AIC, and he's been there ever since!! Damn I love Ozzy!!
You would love the song Flying High Again! Another song from Randy Rhodes days
I have to agree . Flying HIGH is one badass track. Top 3
I grew up to this, every day I would come home from school my mom would be home blasting this at full volume either it would be Mr. Tinkertrain or Mama I’m Coming Home or this and she’s wearing this album t-shirt with a bandanna and she’s either vacuuming or the dishes this song album and song is implanted into my entire body
Awesome reaction. Especially when the solo hit.
Not to many listen to this one but its one of my favorites from him
Zakk Wylde is that monster on guitar. Check out Black Label Society: Phoney Smiles and Fake Hello's, 13 Years Of Grief, Peddlers Of Death, Battering Ram, Lord's Of Destruction, Suffering Overdue. Zakk also has a southern rock band called Pride And Glory that's amazing and his solo albums are chill always has a ripping solo!!
Jay Rah Visions Ay bro been watching a lot of your videos and I really like'em. Your commitment, dedication to breaking down songs; both artists and not is most certainly appreciated..I'd very, very strongly contend. This one a killer classic. I really like your analysis here, too. Peace
All time best guitar solo
Your face during the guitar solo was priceless LMAO 😎
I absolutely love this reaction. One of my favorite songs ever. Appreciate ya bruh 🔥🤘
Beautiful and insightful. Liked and subscribed, my dude!
The lyrics are about a serial killer killing someone. Very dark, but such a great track!
Mike Inez was the genus of this song and played on the recording as well as some live gigs.. You see Aussie bass player, Bob Daisley featured in the video for the track. Song about a guy tormenting women in a red light district. No More Tears was the first record Ozzy had recorded sober
Love the way you break it down!you understand music which makes it more enjoyable
6:32 is my favorite part of the song. Still love this tune after all these years.
Fun fact: the opening bass riff was just a warm-up riff Scott Inez used. Ozzy heard it and wanted to use it.
Nice breakdown! Subbed.
The Stank Face Cometh...
One of my favorite all time Ozzy songs, it’s a great tune with many layers and twists and turns. Love this song.
Zakk Wylde is the guitarist, he’s a great guitarist. He was Ozzy’s third guitarist after Randy Rhodes and Jake E Lee.
The lyrics are very cryptic, I’ve never been able to really lock down what they mean, but they lend to the overall creepiness of the song.
I consider this to be in the all time top ten of Ozzy’s songs. Remember, stay cool and.....
\m/ Stay Metal \m/
What i love the most about this song is how melodic and yet beefy and girthy heavy riffs. I love how u caught that part bro.
Deep, down and dirty, mean and nasty, Zakk's sound...all I can say is Damn! Then that melodic breakdown into that build up that leads into that monster guitar solo? Gives me chills every time.
Best reaction bro
MAMA I'M COMING HOME
One of his best song ever. And he looks so damn cool in this video!!!
out here in So Cali we had the Ozzfest from 1996-2018- it was awesome when Ozzy would show up
"See You on the Other Side" by Ozzy is a great track, and the guitar melody is a good smooth, stepped build. Love it.
The " sequel" to see you on the other side is Back on Earth. Noseferatu Ozzy after Ozzmosis. Ozzy the vampire was born. Before that and after this he was more a warlock ( male witch). The man knew how to reinvent his image.
Thank you for doing the full album version and not the radio edit!
I love how the middle of the song goes all Boris Karloff meets the Beatles then just rips into a guitar solo
I do miss the 80s!!!
Real METAL!!!
My first concert was Ozzy with Type O Negative and Sepultura opening when I was 11 years old in early 1996
I like how you breakdown the song! New sub here
MASTERPIECE right here
John Michael Osbourne (Ozzy) is a legend! From humble working class beginnings in Birmingham, England.
His wife Sharon is his manager.
Woah! Goosbumps!
"S.I.N." would be a killer track by Ozzy to react to. It's off this album, but honestly this entire album is practically perfection from start to finish.
I saw Ozzy on the tour for this album and was mooned at least a couple of times.
finally someone who reacts to hood music. thank you. you get a subscribe!
Cool reaction, good analysis. In a sea of moronic reactors barely boppin' their heads to whatever song will get them most views you stand out... keep it up.
Facts.
zakk wylde is so recognizable with his tones on anything he does. also looks like a scary individual but is a super sweet darling of a man.
Bro this álbum 🔥🔥🔥🔥
enjoy this album got me back into ozz but it was the new guitarist that I love mr zakk he's incredible too this day love his style
If you want to hear a good Old Man Ozzy song, you ought to check out "The Almighty Dollar" from his "Black Rain" album.
Such an underrated BANGER. Insane bass line.. wonderful meaning.
An all time fav of mine. Minus trap door, that was a perfect album
The official video is awesome.
Dirty Riffs and Ozzy's wailing awesome
A pinnacle of Ozzy's writing
That's Mike inez on bass... Later went to Alice in Chains 🤙🤟🤙🤟💪💪
you got good taste my man!!!
you cant kill rock and roll.ozzy is king
I love anyone that can respect, appreciate and love harder music. This song is a staple along with other Ozzy songs like Shot in the Dark to Black Sabbath.
Shot in the Dark is a fun kickass song live.
I have a fee select songs from ozzy’s solo carrier that, if arranged correctly sounds like the history of a serial killer. These include “a shot in the dark” and this one as well as others I don’t remember rn. In my opinion, this song is simply the killer talking to the victim and then to it’s corpse. Musically, this song is one of my favorite songs. The instruments are so intensely expressing emotions, it is surreal.
When I heard this in the Car U had to pull over Zak is a God .
Zakk Wylde is who got me into guitar. Loved the squeal he does. I add it to random rock songs and it improves them so much haha
OZZY is in the pocket on this epic metal track.❤❤❤❤❤❤
this whole album is awesome,,my girlfriend at the time, had the cassete ,we took a trip to new orleans , from pensacola ,we listenned to this album the whole way there and the whole way back,,terriffic intro's also,,,,
i also did a trip to jacksonvile fl, and back to the purple rain cassette,,,
both have almost every song bangers,,,(in my opinion).....
Sometimes "reaction videos" seem a little too setup. It's got the vibe of "Hey old timers-your music really rocks! Why isn't it on the radio?" It's kind of like the pretty young waitress flirting up the old geezers to get better tips. Nothing is going to happen...it's just a boost for an old mans ego.
But I have to say you seem very sincere...some of the your commentary is spot on and provides a keen musical observation. I really enjoyed going on this journey with you. You are a very intelligent and observant young man. I look forward to hearing more of your videos.
This album was made at a time in Ozzy's career where he was at a low point. He had to get sober after almost killing Sharon in a drunken rage. His record label was losing interest and didn't want to fund the album. The bass part you hear throughout the song was written by Mike Inez, who appears in the music videos for some of the songs from this album and who would later go on to be in Alice in Chains.
That bass run, was just a practice run Mike would play for warm-ups. Ozzy heard it and it was added to begin the song, unique song, utilizing synth/ piano almost ethereal elements leading into the pre-solo ...honestly still once of the most intense solos I ever heard.
MORE OZZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guitarist is Zakk Wylde...He is now full time with his own band Black Label Society. Check him out. Stillborn is a good song to review first.
I like how you mentioned the bass riff. It's not the hardest most complex riff but it sounds awesome during the verse with the drums and the lead guitar doesn't overpower it the entire song
Got to have some Ozzie
Zach Wylde Man!
First song I ever learned in drop C#.
The stank face at the end of the solo tells you everything you need to know about this song.
Please react to Shot in the Dark off his Ultimate Sin album.
That songs brings me backkkkk, one of my favs
Randy Roads was a prodigy. Wild was as well. Jake E Lee! Ozzy always liked to scoop up all the young talent! Awesome break down as usual! Great channel!
Excellent song, with a great solo from Zakk Wylde. Along with a awsome bass track, laid down by now Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. Not to mention killer drums by the late great Randy Castillo...may he R.I.P....Ozzy rules!!!
This is Mike Inez (Alice In Chains) on bass. Trujillo didn't join Ozzy's band until much later.
@@craven1927 Oh,ok thank you.
@Craven @Randy Comerford you’re both incorrect.
Inez did no recording, he only wrote the title track’s bass track and was in the promotional tours. All of the songs were recorded with Bob Daisley on bass, and he was on all of Ozzy’s albums from Blizzard of Ozz up to No More Tears.
That stank face is everyone’s reaction during the breakdown lmaooo
Zakk Wilde is great in Road to Nowhere, another track off of No More Tears album. You'd be amazed at the countless hits Ozzy has throughout his incredible career. So many to catch up on. Enjoy friend. And by the way, screw the haters. Do what you love, and how you love to do it.
If you like bass riffs, "Believer" by Ozzy is a great one as well.
