Thank you to these strong and beautiful women. The restaurant will reopen may 17th 2024. Let's keep this place alive in the loving memory of these women and man who worked hard to bring joy to our lives. May they rest in peace.

Sometime around 1984, I was shopping at Eaton’s, like many times before. As I entered an elevator, I noticed the 9th floor button, I was puzzled, as many times as I had taken the elevators, I had never seen a 9th floor. It seems only one elevator had that button. When I arrived on the 9th floor, I was transported in time, there was no one in sight, but I could hear something around the corner, that is when I discover the restaurant.
I loved high tea and the Sunday brunches, we always took our in town and out of town guests for dining or tea. Annette was my server of choice, I spotted her immediately in this film.
Please, PLEASE restore this restaurant, it is a historical landmark.

You know I think I saw that 9th floor button once but I never ventured. I regret that.

Thank you. So many happy memories with mom in the 1950’s through the 1980’s and then finally with my daughters before this beautiful landmark closed.

I so miss that Art Deco dining room....I don't know why it is not reopened today...I am sure it would be a destination not only for Montrealers but tourist from all over the world, especially tourist who take trips on ocean liners. I am so glad to be able to view this movie and have posted it on my facebook page.

Thank You. This has brought back so many happy memroies with my mother. This was s truely special place. I wish it was still open so I could share it with my Daughters in law and Grand child. This place made me feel so special. The servers treated you like cherished guests. It is such a rare thing these days. I wish we good feel that way these days. I am happy to hear that it is planned to re-open. Although a beautiful place the servers are what made is really special.

My sister used to bring me to eat here once or twice a month when I was quite young. I remember the restaurant and the ambiance very well, but I have no recollection of the food.

(Avril 2022). Un autre restaurant populaire etait a l'hotel Reine Elizabeth. (pate chinois).
