it really is. if you're still online, and reading this, how are you? im in to stalker and i see these people from like 2-15 years old and im thinking "huh, how they doing?" so, how are you doing?
Mr.Knife No. It's a ridiculous world with ridiculous characters, with more than enough emphasis on the humour. survival in FO3/NV is FAR too easy, and lacks any feel of true survival, there is no requirement for food and water, no scrounging for ammo or armour, as there is always enough to go around, and plenty of vendors too.
Mr.Knife Even with mods, I never found them to be enough of a challenge. Perks were too easy to get, skills rose with kills, and I'm not talking player skills. I'd rather all skill-checks replaced by a set of things to do/say that would be in a randomised order and would make you need some sort of knowledge on the actual subject in order to solve it. That would mean it was YOU, not just a character. In Stalker, it's always you that's firing the gun, in FO, it's you telling your character to fire the gun. Add in that the AI is far too predictable and above all: STATIC. What makes Stalker Stalker is the A-Life system, something I've never seen before or since.
I still play vanilla. If you love the zone it's always interesting to go back. The dynamic ai is flawed to the point of perfection almost. Even have a glitched saved where I was able to give a bandit a medkit. Every bandit is now friendly on that save. I uploaded the save to my discord. It's crazy the zone is still producing new anomalys 15 years later

Dude, this track is fantastic. I just finished CS for the first time (after rushing through CoP in 3 days), and it managed to erase the bad impression CS ending left. Thanks!

Our main goal was to make small adjustments to the noosphere, allowing us to remove things like anger, cruelty, greed and other negative factors from the planet. Individuals are unable to affect the noosphere, but C-Consciousness could.
Gunner. Have you played 'STALKER - Lost Alpha'? I genuinely consider/accept Lost Alpha as the Forth installment of the series (that we have all been waiting for.) Its almost like the STALKER that we have all been waiting to see - the game play is COLOSSAL -- It will legitimately take you around 2 months to play this game - the maps are ...*speechless*... HUGE! :)
It with a heavy heart that I say goodbye GSC, but I will never say goodbye to the zone. Misery, Lost Alpha, Cryzone, Complete, LURK, Zone of Alienation, Singularity, Oblivion Lost, People's Soup, AMK, etc, as long as these mods still stand, as long as we still remember the zone, and as long as we still hold the zone in our hearts, STALKER will survive. Never Forget.
So many years... So many games... Still nothing that i can compare to S.T.A.L.K.E.R... Please do not even mention about METRO (it's good game, but that's not S.T.A.L.K.E.R and never will be). Just starting an another "new game" to Clear Sky. Welcome home:)

But i still prefer to play on my old CD versions of STALKER's, bcs there as narrator is Mr. Miroslaw Utta, I love his voice and without it and without russian dialogues, there's no STALKER game for me. I've hope that third STALKER will be so good as previous ones... Just cant wait for it.

But the kind of bugs you get in STALKER are more often hilarious than an annoyance. Nobody here is complaining about bugs. Bugs are fine as long as the game runs and is playable.

There's a download link in the info-box. It's higher quality too, since it didn't have to go through youtube's compression. It's always been there, so I don't know why you had to use a third party tool.
This is soooooooooooo cool. Fits into the atmoshere nicely. I wish there was a download link to make this the credits roll down movie after the true ending. The original credit roll down may fit into the other endings nicely, but not the true one.

You guys are forgetting about the zombies, they are a "faction" with somewhat of an agenda, to scare the shit out of people to keep them away. So really, theres 10 default factions, plus the other 2. Either way your way off on that 7 volunteers 7 factions

Fallouts and Stalkers are what I would call a post-apo fan bibles. I sunk so deep into these universe that in my mad mind I sometimes actually WANT it to come true.

The Metro series have so far only been on-rail experiences (funny seeing how it's set in subways). But there is a chance that the next game will be open world! If anyone can pull off a spiritual sequel to STALKER, i think it might just be 4A Games.
Meh, Metro is just linear and horrible and is nothing in comparison to Stalker. Its good on its own and there are similarities but its far too scripted and linear to be as much fun or to be as mysterious as Stalker. I doubt the company can do much or come close to Stalker, even if Metro would be open world, I can imagine how it´ll turn out and how linear it´ll be in some barely working open world basically
