I'm working a 300 Bayou and the CDI just went out. It sat for years. The fuel system had to be reworked. The CDI wasn't secured in place and banged around quite a bit.
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports Do you know if I can use an aftermarket one? The original has six blade connectors in one. The others are split in two sets of wires.

Just purchased this same bike today. It started fine i drove it around for about 3 minutes and it died and now its not starting back up. Not sure what the problem could be. I checked the fuel line and it's coming out pretty consistent. I know the video was a while ago but any helpful tips would be very great. Thanks!
Check the kill switch, I just took mine apart and cleaned it and replaced the tension spring with a click pen spring because it wasn’t making contact securely in the run position, works perfect now
Great video .. I just purchased a 220 and when u put it in gear if you don't feather the throttle it dies . Is that an idle adjustment or something else

On the idle adjust, whats the best way to start off? All the way in and back off 1 turn and go from there? Was given a 220 but wont idle long at all, seems to run fine while going though
I saw after 4 years nobody answered you. I’m not sure about every model but the one in the video and mine are air cooled so idling will eventually cause it to overheat since it has no coolant to keep it cool while at idle. Just try to kill it when at rest and only run it when it’s ready to ride

I just purchased a 1995 Bayou 220. When I went to change the oil there wasn't a oil bypass assembly. I ordered a new one. What are the consequences of not having the assembly?
Do you have any indicator lights come on? When you hit the starter button does it click. When in doubt put a trickle charger on it for a couple days. amzn.to/3NRj41r I own a handful of these. They are incredibly safe to leave on and for weak batteries they'll save you from buy a new one for a long long time. Thanks for watching and the comment.
there should be NO oil on your gas valve. I am wondering if the is coming from your cylinder head. There is a crankcase vent on there and I'm curious if you have some oil coming from that tube. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching

Interesting story I lost my reverse switch so I started using a flat head and one day it just started going into reverse instead of neutral 😂

I had the same problem on one I had in Canada I adjusted the idle screw on the carb and she ran like a charm

Hey man in the right side next to the carb .. there is a leveler that goes up and down not sure what that is
If your talking about decompression lever, rotate engage it and you can then use pull start it will automatically kick out.
