    at time stamp 13;24 that neutral reverse switch i recommend coating the wire contacts with epoxy. as oil heats and cools it weakens the bond of the solder at the contacts. with the epoxy the oil doesn't get near them.

    Anyone got a tips on how to put the stator cover on? Every time I do it just pulls the flywheel off.

    Very good video, nice and detailed. Doing a rebuild on mine now but having trouble getting the timing chain back on with ease like you did, mine does not have enough slack to get the gear back on with the chain on it. any suggestions?

      It sounds like you have the tensioner engaged. You need to release the tensioner and it should slide right on. If that’s not working it may be bound up behind the flywheel. It should go one easy so something must be misplaced.

    Are all of the new rebuild parts still available for an ATV that old? The reason I ask is I have a 1991 220 that needs a bottom end rebuild.

    ? Should there be any play in the primary clutch housing on the crank. I can grab the primary and move it in and out about 1/8" , its bolted to torque? Is that normal.

    Gotta do a rebuild on my klf300 but i won't be following this video for several reasons
    1. That torque wrench you use is unnecessarily annoying with the beeping. Waste of money
    2. The number of ads is beyond greedy. I watch videos as long from large UA-camrs with one ad. Not 14 like you've got!
    3. You sound like this is your 40th chore for the day. No motivation, no pickup. Just an "ugh... I got do this" tone. As though there isn't any motivation beyond money? Probably...
    4. Only NM measurements for torque. It's what you use that's fine, but if it's a worldwide platform. Please keep the person watching from having to stop, wash their hands, and convert it/find the value.
    5. And a second one for the insane beeping of that torture torque wrench. Just use click ones. No need for all the crazy crap like that. I worked in a factory building half million dollar machines. only beep we had was for a tracker to know what toques were done (not for how much torque). Otherwise, a click told us it was done.

    Hey man I know this is a long shot, but I took the clutch cover off of my bayou because of a slight knock. When I got the cover off, a chewed up cylindrical piece was sitting in the bottom of the cover where the screen would go in. Is there any way you could identify this part? I’ve watched this video and the other one you have on the disassembly probably 10 times and I’ve yet to see it. Thank you.

      What size was it? Hollow or solid? Only thing I can think of is the alignment dowels or the pins that go into the shift drum.

    • @BryanSkelton-e4z
      @BryanSkelton-e4z Рік тому

      @@MarleyJaxGarage It’s hallow, and roughly 1/2” I was thinking alignment pins. But it’s on the out side of the trans/ crank case. It was right below the clutch.

    So this might be a little late to get a reply but f it.. I’m trying to install everything back into my bayou I just got to my input shafts bevel gear… the question is how did you stop the engine and transmission from rotating so firmly when you installed the nuts to those gears
