Bride Karen and her fiancé got engaged 15 years ago. Karen has been putting off her wedding because she was hoping to lose the baby weight of her firstborn son and did not want to be a "fat bride". Jo and Al got some work to do to get this bride to see how beautiful she really is.

@@dd4run I had a couple at my church who had been married nearly sixty years and he still looked at her like that every time she walked into the room. It was adorable and heartwarming in the best sense of the word.

Don't get me wrong I loooove Randy, Monte, and Lori but these two women who work at this boutique are truly amazing in their own unique way. Sooo kind, supportive, honest, empathetic and brilliant. I love watching them work! 😍

I planned our entire wedding myself- we paid for it ourselves- I was going through a very tough time mentally & physically, so guess what….I didn’t have a flat tummy or buff arms & back on our day.
My husbands face when I walked around the corner at our first look blew me away- he had tears& said I was absolutely gorgeous! Enjoy the journey& be kind to yourself. Your are ALL beautiful and will look incredible on your wedding day! Our bodies listen to our thoughts, make them good ones 💜

I love the work these ladies do. I so wish I'd had access to something like their boutique when I was married 16 years ago. I know what it is to feel like I wasn't a beautiful bride and just accept the first dress that covered me, not a dress that felt like it was designed for me alone.
You can still do that. Bridal boutiques now recognize that not everyone is a size 2. Take a peek at some salons just on a whim. If you find the perfect dress, see if you can get it in a blush pink or gold, but have it tailored to your exact body measurements, and hold an anniversary/renewal of vows ceremony and reception to show off you and your dress. Of course, I realize priorities change from 16 years ago, but if it means a lot to you and you can afford it, go for it. Feel beautiful. And, if it is not in the cards for you, be grateful your marriage has lasted 16 years when 50 percent of marriages fail. Tell yourself that you're beautiful, your marriage is beautiful and life is beautiful. Peace out.

I hope all these brides (regardless of their body size or shape) watch these videos that show the groom when she walks in. The look on his face when he sees her should give them all the confidence they ever need. It's my favorite part of these shows.

How i love this show!!! I watch one episode nearly every morning, to start my day in a good mood. Thanks, Al and Jo. You are so inspirational in the way you treat the people around you.
Maybe they mention it, but I've never seen it mentioned on this show (or any Bridal Show). Ladies, carry your flowers down. When they carry them up and cover themselves up, you can't see all the gorgeous details of the dress! Your arms should be fully extended, flowers should be in line with your hip bones. My florist told me that 37 years ago, and all of our pictures came out so stunning. Try it & see the difference it makes...

Things were so much simpler when you were supposed to get married before living together. We just got married, we didn't wait for things to be perfect.
I can't imagine waiting 15 years to get married. When you love someone, you just want to be with them. The wedding is a celebration of that transition and dedication. It's not just a party because you've already been together for 15 years. I was kind of like, why is she nervous, there's not any change after. It's not like now she has to get used to picking up his socks.
