    I recently got a lyre and I'm so thankful I found your video's, they've been helping me play my 10 string lyre and i'm honestly so glad I came across you
    P.S
    For anyone who couldn't find the app she uses, Tuner - Pitched (Orange tuning fork icon) is what I (android user) Use

    helllo, please, could you help me? I'm still having some trouble tunning my new lyre probably because I know nothing about music theory and all the videos I find are not so specific and I've already searched everywhere. I have a 16 strings lyre, my question is: the first string on the lyre should be a C4 in the tunning app, right? but the second string should be a C4# or already a D4? and then is goes C4, D4, E4, F4 for the strings or the correct is C4, C4#, D4, D4# etc? sorry for the stupid question I just don't know anything about music yet and I just want to learn ;-;

    • @SnoopyholicsTealog
      @SnoopyholicsTealog  Рік тому

      It all depends on what kind of song you will play!! Try to find out all the notes and see how you gotta tune.....it is just simple and easy. Nothing is fixed. Just be careful when you got higher, string can break. It is not stupid at all that is just the first step to start playing. So make things short, if it has # you can put it where it needs to be. If not, don't worry. What you have to focus is how many sounds the song you are going to play. Hope I made sense and it helped. Happy play!! :)

  • @uglyhell

    I've watched a lot of videos about lyres, but I'm still scared to tune it. As far as I know, strings are very brittle and can easily break during tuning. So should I tune the lyre the first time or would it be better to stretch it little by little until all the strings are stretched enough?

    • @SnoopyholicsTealog
      @SnoopyholicsTealog  Рік тому +1

      Hmmm that makes sense too. Yeah when I got the lyre for the first time I play with it just to have fun for a while before I get to tuning. So I guess that will be a good idea- However strings break anyway if you play long enough for the condition of wood and humidity....I guess.
