Great video Charles. Lots of good tips. Difficult to guess weights on film but closer to 4 than 3.5. No stopping you now.

Excellent. Thank you. Very informative and motivating for me. Very frustrating for you.

Thanks Russell. Have you tried catching thin lipped on baited spinner?

@@Fishwish I don't fancy constantly casting when spinning. But thanks for the suggestion.

I've ever only caught ONE fish. it was a 40 cm Mullet. On a worm. I think I got very lucky. I saw many mullet jumping out of the water that day.
I went another 5-10 times, tried worms, lures, never got another.
I started fishing this year. Ill try bread next !
I partly blame the rivers in Nagoya, huge city rivers are probably not the best place to fish.

I’m really ignorant when it comes to fishing in Japan. I know the lure scene has a really big following and that Tenkara fishing in the mountain rivers is a real art. Never tried it though. Mullet can drive you mad. Go careful and thanks so much for commenting.

Nice one they are so tricky to catch! I reckon 4lb+

Thanks! I seem to be getting worse at guessing weights of fish instead of better. Tricky indeed but now I’ve managed one, I’ve got the itch to try again for more. I can see that growing as catching becomes less important with age. Greater challenges and all that. Thanks for commenting btw.

Thanks. Yeah they’re the most fickle of fish. Do my nut!

Hello would a piece or bread catch mullet without wetting it ..

Hello - the bread is dry when it’s put in the hook. Is that what you mean?

@@Fishwish thanks..I thought you made the bread soup to put it on the hook ..

@@EzequielMaldonado-f4d I see - no the bread soup is just to attract them. A dry piece of soft white bread is then squeezed onto the shank of the hook, leaving the flake nice and fluffy around the hook point.
