This is what's known as live impromptu performance. You can tell when she told the musicians not to come in yet, when she had the girls sing "Care, Share, Cry" as well as when she brought the musicians back in. This is how it's done. She is on her way back, but you cannot expect her to have that same voice she did when she debut, that was years ago. Every artist voice matures, sometimes it gets better, sometimes it gets damaged from years of singing (sometimes abuse, sometimes inactivity). Her voice is still rich and beautiful. Give her the time to re-perfect her instrument!
yes but i think she is using bad technique now. in the fugees era and and in sister act etc her voice seem placed more in the mask. now she sounds like the sound is only coming straight out of her mouth. This technique makes the tone/voice sound muddy and dull.
