I use the app a lot, helps a lot with access points over here in west Michigan
My home stream was the dowagiac Creek and the dowagiac River Saint Joe River and the pier the Little Creek that feeds out of our Lake Indian Lake goes right out of the creek all the way into Lake Michigan and we get all the run spawn run salmon a native home trout you do a great job explain your fishing and access. You do a great job videoing
The Michigan Trout Trails doesn't list all of the Rivers/Streams/Creeks with trout in them, you have to do a little more digging, but that is a solid site to use to get you started. Good content man! I'm a fellow Michigan trout angler!
Awesome I totally appreciate that! What part of Michigan are you from?
@@themichiganangler4746 I live in GR. I fish all over the state. I have a drift boat too if your ever interested in fishing together. Im not a youtuber, but my wife and I catch fish pretty regularly on the rivers and creeks all around our house. Love your videos man. I see your posts in the Michigan trout groups too. Keep up the good work man!
O that’s awesome I’d love to get out with you sometime! I’ve never fished from a drift boat!
Don’t sell yourself short..you’re a pro trouts man and a master angler award holder
Lol thanks man
He’s also a master baiter!
Thanks very much for your informative video! Relatively new to southwest Michigan and am looking for trout waters within 25 miles or so from home.
I have an ugly GX2 6'6" light and an okuma 6'0 UL celilio. Love them both. It's 5a.m., I'm getting ready to head out and wade a couple of local streams today. Good luck and keep up with the videos when you can they are enjoyable to watch.
Awesome man good luck! I was out for opener but didn’t do any filming.
@@themichiganangler4746 got out today as mentioned in the above comment. Went 16 for 21 mixed between browns and rainbows. Dnr just did a plant by me apparently and there were allot of smaller fish. I was looking for a 12 to 15 inch to take home but I never touched one that big today. Good luck to you the stick baits and spinners killed it for me today.
Man that sounds like a fun day!!
Great information. I’m moving down your way in a month. Have never trout fished but you are becoming my inspiration! Just bought a fishing kayak so I will be fishing the Kzoo River and other larger bodies of water. Thank you!
Awesome to hear!! Kalamazoo river has some awesome fishing!!
@@themichiganangler4746 that’s great to hear. I like catching smallmouth, it certainly looks fishy as I pass it on 31 on my drive to work. I’ll have to search your videos to see if you’ve been out there :)
I don’t have any videos up on small mouth fishing but I hit it every summer and always do pretty good! Great fishing!
@@themichiganangler4746 can’t wait to get out there and explore. Southwest part of the mitten has so many smaller lakes to explore too
Great video, the only thing keeping me from exploring the stream I want to check out or fishing in general are the torrential down pours. Thinking of building an ark.
Lol I’m right with you! Looks like we’re almost through it!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
Hope it helps! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Love the App. Thanks. Question -- I'm new to the area. When can we start hitting the creeks? Is February too soon?
Some are open year round, check the regulations !👊
Good information bro. Thanks. I do the same thing but with the DNR site.
Thanks for checking it out!!
I'm hoping to take my wife salmon fishing this year. We're on the east side of the state. Any recommendations where to go?
Brook trout are the king of fish
I wish something like this existed in genesee county.
Nice video man!
Hey is the app worth the pro version if you only use it part of the year? I downloaded the basic. Thnx love your videos.
I wouldn’t pay for the pro. The basic gives you everything you need I think
Do you pay attention to the ratings? I looked that one up you had and it rated it as Class 3 "Marginal" trout stream. What's your experience with the ratings?
You have such great content ! 👏 your channel could easily have Mas Subscribadors!
Lol maybe some day! “Subscribadors” 😂 😂 😛
Are you fishing these blue streams on the app too? Haven’t had much luck on anything but green streams
Yes! I’ve tried them all. Hit or miss
Was gonna buy that net but it isn't currently unavailable in Amazon.

I catch a lot log largemouth while trout fishing
Nice!
What are your favorite lakes to fish in southwest Michigan?
Gull lake hands down 🔥
@@themichiganangler4746 any tips on where to fish there it’s a huge lake
What are you going to be fishing for?
@@themichiganangler4746 probably pike or bass
@@oofoof4292 I fish a lot on the north west section. Drop offs
That was a terrible product introduction with that net haha.
You make it look too easy!!
Lol I’ve been putting in a lot of time this summer !
@@themichiganangler4746 I can tell! That's a lot of skill to obtain in such a small amount of time! Congrats!
My lady brought in her first brown thanks to your tips !Are you normally targeting green or gold rivers on the app?
Wow that’s awesome! I try all the different types of streams!
This was a sales advertisement.
I guess the basic TroutRoutes is worthless, and Pro is $60 a year.
When season opens I'll try the free trial.
onix is better
