Soul music deserves its name. It feeds and rewarms the soul. Every note singed and played is a step through the unknown universe of the creativity that only humanity is capable of. Listening to it is like allowing myself to be vulnerable and curious while being absolutely sure I will enjoy it and I'm never disappointed.

I'm crying with happiness because it totally reminds me of my grandma
Soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, hip-hop, and in the end it takes you back to the African-American church and what some call the wailer's bench. It's where you could hear the senior sisters and brothers hum and sing from a place so deep in their being it contained the passion and pain they felt. Some may ridicule but if you've ever witnessed these elders singing you would hear the roots of Ben and Gregory's singing, the place where it came from. These brothers took Mr. Withers classic to a place only hinted at, this is an incredible performance.

Ben L'oncle Soul looks like Chance the rapper and Ben Harper had a baby, his style is too cool. Ben L'oncle Soul is an amazing artist, love his rendition of Frank Sinatras tracks also.

Now I really feel these guys have put something extra into grandma‘s hands. There seem to be so many versions of this song by admittedly talented people but it is inside each of us when we hear the genuine article we feel it too, like sympathetic strings. Bravo for doing justice to The great Bill Withers.

Well, that's as close to perfection as is it gets. Or, in fact, it's perfection.
I have never felt the touch of grandma's hands (unfortunately they both died before I was born). Maybe that's the reason this song hit my soft spot so strong...and, yea, these guys made a super soulful rendition of a classic Bill Withers' song
