    I tried EMDR a few years ago and it was amazing. I had PTSD from a traumatic birth and it helped me immensely!

    I just started EMDR a few months ago and it's been the most profound treatment for trauma for me. It's crazy how simple it is yet so effective.

      Disa, same here. I am honestly reserved about telling my friends because I feel like they'll never believe me until they try it but they haven't tried it, because they think it's bogus.

    I'm so glad it has helped you! I've been wanting to try EMDR for years, but there are only like 2 certified therapists in my entire country and I don't have access to them. I've tried SO many kinds of therapies over the years and they've helped in one way or another but they were always a temporary fix to deep-rooted issues. I've gotten to a point where I begged God/the Universe to save my life, and I just found a website that offers online EMDR. Signed up immediately. Will come back to edit this comment in a month if things improve. 🙏🙏🙏

    I just found your channel while trying to look into EMDR!
    I’m about to start it and your video was the first one that popped up. And coincidentally I also have vestibular migraines!
    I still feel like it might be actually a symptom of a deeper root cause. Like I don’t know if “vestibular migraine” is just a name they give to a bunch of symptoms, or if they know exactly what causes them. Kind of like “fibromyalgia”.
    I’m wondering if the EMDR can actually help all of my chronic illness symptoms! I have a lot of other symptoms too and I’ve had some wonky Lyme disease tests and there’s other things that could be at the root of it. But I’m wondering if possibly all of it could be from trauma. I’m really curious about whether you stopped having vertigo! That would be freaking amazing!
    Thank you for sharing so much of your life on here! 🥰

    Back when I had only heard of the version of EMDR with the lights I thought, that sounds like torture (because vestibular migraines). My mom recently told me about the other versions with touch and sound. I had started to give it some thought. So glad you posted this video. How often do you go? I would have to go almost 2 hours from home to get this treatment.

    • @SveaEllen
      @SveaEllen  5 років тому

      Thank gosh there is other options besides the light and head movements! No way I would be able to do it! Initially I did five sessions once a week. Now I do maybe once a month for a “tune up”
