Disa, same here. I am honestly reserved about telling my friends because I feel like they'll never believe me until they try it but they haven't tried it, because they think it's bogus.
I have never heard of this, but it makes so much sense, and can help so many people. The human brain is so complex yet something so simple can be life changing.
I may not understmad what it is like to be in your shoes and having had chronic illness. You are amazing for sharing your story. Thank you so much for sharing!
I'm so glad it has helped you! I've been wanting to try EMDR for years, but there are only like 2 certified therapists in my entire country and I don't have access to them. I've tried SO many kinds of therapies over the years and they've helped in one way or another but they were always a temporary fix to deep-rooted issues. I've gotten to a point where I begged God/the Universe to save my life, and I just found a website that offers online EMDR. Signed up immediately. Will come back to edit this comment in a month if things improve. 🙏🙏🙏
So glad you found a way to use EMDR in your country! Everyone deserves to have access to this God sent therapy. Best of luck to you on your healing journey!🙏
Thank you for being so open about this! Can’t wait to check out more videos. I suffer from anxiety and depression so this was definitely interesting to me!
I just found your channel while trying to look into EMDR! I’m about to start it and your video was the first one that popped up. And coincidentally I also have vestibular migraines! I still feel like it might be actually a symptom of a deeper root cause. Like I don’t know if “vestibular migraine” is just a name they give to a bunch of symptoms, or if they know exactly what causes them. Kind of like “fibromyalgia”. I’m wondering if the EMDR can actually help all of my chronic illness symptoms! I have a lot of other symptoms too and I’ve had some wonky Lyme disease tests and there’s other things that could be at the root of it. But I’m wondering if possibly all of it could be from trauma. I’m really curious about whether you stopped having vertigo! That would be freaking amazing! Thank you for sharing so much of your life on here! 🥰
Back when I had only heard of the version of EMDR with the lights I thought, that sounds like torture (because vestibular migraines). My mom recently told me about the other versions with touch and sound. I had started to give it some thought. So glad you posted this video. How often do you go? I would have to go almost 2 hours from home to get this treatment.
Thank gosh there is other options besides the light and head movements! No way I would be able to do it! Initially I did five sessions once a week. Now I do maybe once a month for a “tune up”
how many sessions of emdr have you done? I start next week. i've had anxiety and depression for about a year now. I hear a lot of good things about emdr.
@@SveaEllen How long have you been on effexor. Gonna talk to my psych about it. Thanks for all your help! Youre an inspiration. I've been on this road for just over a year now and lookin to get off the roller coaster ya know

I tried EMDR a few years ago and it was amazing. I had PTSD from a traumatic birth and it helped me immensely!
I just started EMDR a few months ago and it's been the most profound treatment for trauma for me. It's crazy how simple it is yet so effective.
Keep me updated! I’d love to know how it continues to go!

Life saving but it will put a lot of therapists out of work.
Teodora M small price to pay for the healing of souls, millions of people can not afford therapy, it’s a miracle that EMDR is hitting the main stream.
@@Chelsea-fq5cj I agree. It is so simple and effective that it's equivalent to a miracle.
