got to ask the usa fans why is bruce playing to small crowds in comparison to europe ie wembley 90,000.i know bruce said his biggest audience is now in europe but i don't get why other than new jersey he plays to 15/20,000 fans.
Interesting question. I'm not a Springsteen tour expert but have noted over the years from US POV that UK & European music concert touring ecosystem is quite different. Suspect there's generational, racial, music genre and artist popularity factors but probably most relevant is geographic scale and can be summed up with old expression "coal to Newcastle" -- at any given moment how many "American" artists are gigging in the UK as compared to here in the US? (Yeah, I know just lumping Springsteen into a category like American is imperfect but overall Springsteen has played any given major US market much more frequently over his career than overseas. I used to go to The Main Point in Bryn Mawr PA which had maybe 250 seats and Springsteen frequently played there in the early/mid 70's...)
@@rubiera58 thanks for the reply.just would have thought bruce would have build up a huge fan base right across america to at least sell out 50,000 in any given state when he tours.when bruce comes to uk he sells out stadiums and hyde park said last year that they could have sold it out 5/6 times over his 2 nights concert last july.
My guess is that we don't have many places that hold 90,000 folks. There's also the fact that his schedule for the larger places would have to work around whatever teams play there. And, there might also be the expense factor. Better to sell out a 20,000-seat joint than have 25,000 empty seats at a 50,000-seat joint. The last time I saw him in concert I had hair.
The only other venues in Pittsburgh had sporting events this week. The Steelers had a football game and the Pirates had baseball games. He sold out this arena 2 nights. Thursday and Sunday. That's pretty close to 40,000.
I was going to see him in NC years back but, he cancelled on his fans because of a political reason. I cancelled him too after that along with many others. So disappointed his political views got in the way of performing for his fans.
He’s a typical far left liberal. He’s just like Bernie Sanders. They spew all this nonsense and want the government to have all these give outs yet his concerts are astronomically priced and he is just raking in the cash. And he doesn’t even sound good anymore.
The voice itself sounds good, but he’s got no breath. He’s practically talk - singing. These songs are way slowed down and the phrasing is way different than the original. There’s no way I’m paying $400 to see this.
@@thawtvawlt6988 don’t worry won’t see me at a Bruce concert. Old liberal fool loves capitalism when he takes advantage of all his fans though, that’s for sure.
The young girl over Bruce’s shoulder…singing along! There is still hope for rock-n-roll!!
That sax solo did big Clarence proud, fantastic!
... yeah, babe i love you with all the madness in my soul, too!!!
Have had the privilege of seeing Bruce and The E street Band 6 times in Europe; can't wait to see them in USA #BruceSpringsteen #TheEStreetBand
