i tired to look up the pretty error files but my folder didn't have them so I'm super confused :/
same thing happened here, it said i had a mod outdated but i couldn't find it in my mods folder - like anywhere!? i also don't know how to create a backup folder. it's all very confusing so i'm just going to stick to carrying on without a backup and with my last exception aha
Recently my game wasn’t working and it always told me to relaunch it, I tried everything and when I tried un enabling cc it worked, idk what to do cause I don’t wanna play the game without my cc 😭
Did you make sure to update all of your mods after the 25th of February update? If you didn't, you can follow these steps:
Rename your Electronic Arts folder in 'Electronic Arts OLD' and make a copy of this 'Electronic Arts OLD' folder & paste it on your Desktop, just to have a backup of your save files (do not delete this folder, you'll need it later on!). If you happen to use an antivirus, please try to add an exception for both your Sims 4 & Origin programs, as well as for the following websites: thesims.com & origin.com. Make sure to allow both Sims 4 & Origin within your firewall.
Repair your game through Origin (go to Game Library > right click on Sims > Repair), then try to launch it and see if it works. If so, go to Game Options > Other > enable cc, mods and script mods. You can now fully exit your game, go to your Documents folder and a new EA folder should show up. Now you're free to copy your Saves, Tray and Screenshots files from your old Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders to your new Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders (located in your new EA folder). Launch your game and check if everything works properly. If so, you can copy your old cc from your old Mods folder to the newly generated Mods folder (in small batches!!) and make sure to open your game every single time you paste those just to make sure that everything works properly. If you still encounter this issue, please try to identify the problematic cc and remove it from your Mods folder. Btw, you should place your cc into your main Mods folder, do not use subfolders as some cc might not show up in the game. As far as mods go, make sure to download once again the updated versions for your mods (especially if you're using Adult mods!), extract them, copy and paste those files in your new Mods folder. Open your game and check if your issue is fixed.

Oh my god, I love you so much. At first I didn't know what do to because the problem was "trait tracker", but after looking on reddit a bit it. I found out you need to delete any occult, baby or outdated trait mods. I still couldn't find the exact mod that was conflicting my game but I still got my social events fixed that was bothering me for a while!

I always had my mods in sub folders. Do all the other mods need to be in just the main Mods folder without any sub folders? I never knew that’s what I had to with MCC

It won’t let me place any stuff in build mode, when ever I try and just says: “ Script call failed. “ I’m not sure what that means. I took out my mods folder, it worked. I don’t want to get rid of my CC though.
hi! i had the same problem. for a lot of others and me we had the mod " basemental drugs " installed. all you have to do is take that out and it should work! if you don't have the mod in your game and its still happening its just a different mod.

I never rlly understood what the reason of the exception pop up but now that I think abt it I do have lots of broken stuff in my game that I was too lazy to take out 😭
Yass, sometimes it's kinda difficult to figure out what mods are broken in the last exception thing!!
But one thing that helped me is actually deleting every single file that ends with ts4script (you can search that word in the search bar inside the Mods folder) and then reinstall those mods!
I thought the orange pop-up was the mods way of telling me it needs to be updated :')
Well, basically you still need to update those if you still wanna use them if that makes sense!
I hate you tell you. But MCCC is broken n they won't fix it. Ever since June 2020. It does not work right. I have had just MCCC nothing else in my Mods folder and it will tell me I have a Broken Mod or CC. If you play with Wicked Whims it will tell u ever 30mins that WW is broken. When it's not. Yet if I take MCCC out, all my mods & CCs work just fine. Also WW will let u know if there is a update when ur playing the game. I have tryed to let MCCC know this. But I get no where.

Do you have a video how to organise your mods folder, I have a lot of CC and mods from different creators but I want to keep them in folders. But I know with any script file and the mod that goes with it I know that they must be in a folder that is only one file deep not two or the game cannot pick up the script file.
That is a very good idea! I don't really recommend using subfolders, even for cc, as some won't work/won't even show up in your game if placed in subfolders, but I'll think about a way of organising your cc and I'll definitely upload a vid on that! Thank you so much for sharing this idea!
What I've always done is made one folder in mods called "TS4_scripts" because they can still be picked up and read from ONE subfolder, but no more than that. Packages can go about 2 or 3 folders deep. For the package files, I put them in their own folder which is either named after that mod, the creator, or the category. So far this hasn't created too any issues for me :3

The thing is the Mc command center is the mod that does not work…
idk what to do but basically all the text in my game are these square boxes and idk how to fix it the loading screen doesn’t have text but these small boxes in place for each letters and nothing is fixing it 😭
Sorry to hear that! Here are some tips that may help:
First off, try taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder and check if your game works fine. If so, you probably need to download the updated versions for those and install them.
If that did not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: ua-cam.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/v-deo.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.
The other alternative would be scanning your Mods folder by using this BE mod & deleting your files that show up in your report list (here's a helpful tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/v-deo.html)
Last but not least, if you haven't tried this already, there's also the 50/50 method that allows you to determine the problematic cc: ua-cam.com/video/kp_fdyXQCfE/v-deo.html

With my game, I cant place objects. I can delete items and everything normal i just cant place them. The side icons when you choose wither you want to place or select full (when they place a window for you or you place the window yourself) It looks weird. My door icons are replaced with windows. And everything are just replaced with random stuff.
Have you tried to enable bb.moveobjects on? Also, do you happen to have any outdated mods/cc in your Mods folder? The bunk beds update has been recently released; therefore, you have to update your mods & cc.

@@thatpatback ok, so I believe it was twistedmexi's mod. he updated his mods, so I replaced them and it seems to be working for me. also, I downloaded his "better exceptions mod" and it works better than the MCC mod for targetting broken files because it's more precise. I hope this helps!!
For mine it doesn’t say what the cc creator is it just says “object_bedDoubleQA” and a bunch of numbers and letters after the QA. Pls help ;-;
Can you try to type in the search bar 'bed' and delete all of your cc beds? This way you can tell if the cc beds are the issue in your game

Yes, so if this mod detects any kind of conflicts within your game, that last exception notif should show up in live mode and it should also generate a html file within your Mods folder that you can open using a browser. That page will tell you what are the mods/cc causing issues in your game. I truly hope this helps!
I’m a bit confused at this point. My game works “perfectly fine”, but after playing for a few minutes (and sometimes even straight away from the start) my Sims aren’t able to eat, travel, make homework, read a book, teleport etc. I’ve tried several things like repairing the game, using the program to scan my cc and mods and apparentely I don’t have any broken mods, just a few that can conflict the game. But taking those particular ones out of the game still doesn’t help. Please, if anyone found a solution yet for this problem (or knows which mod/cc causes this) let me know cause it’s super frustrating.

Ohh, sorry to hear that! Have you also tried taking out all of your script mods and then following the steps shown in that video (resetting your Sim, making your Sim happy, disabling needs decay & creating a new slot for your family)? Let me know if it works 🤗

@@kwazana8467 ugh that sucks i’m sorry. i know how frustrating it is, makes playing the game so unappealing because it gets broken every few months. have you tried removing the Severinka objects, as i mentioned in my comment above yours? i don’t know if you have those CC items, but it did the job for me!
Mins still doesn’t work. It comes up with a name of a broken mod /cc but when I search for it , it doesn’t show up at all . It says interactions.base.create-object-interaction.Object definifition and then has a few number but nothing shows up . I’ve tried writing out every single word individually ..Any thoughts ?
Do you use the Sims 4 Mod Constructor program by any chance? Like do you create mods and all that yourself?

Hello, I have encountered problems with making interactions with other sims and I think it's because some of my mods are broken/corrupted? The bubbles won't show up when I click another sim, not even my own. I could not spot which mod/furniture is having problem. How can I fix that? It really frustrates me. Thanks!!

With the new update my game totally broke, i removed some mods, but not my build mode doesn't work. When i press it, it doesn't show anything and when i go back my menu gets broken and i even cannot quit the game. The MCC shows only some tunable stuff and only 0x errors. Any help?
Edit: Turns out it was a colorslider UI mod that broke it all along, but now thx to you i can know for which mods to look for and i didn't knew MCC can used for this, your tutorials are really useful. Also your voice is really cute, and you deserve more subs!

Hi thank you so much for your generosity of giving this information. I truly appreciate it, i do have a question though. My pretty error listed out a mod i can’t seem to find in my mods folder. Is there a chance it may be somewhere else that’s not within the mods folder?
Theoretically no, but if you're on Windows you can try to search that specific name on your taskbar and see if that mod pops up. If so, right click on it > open file location and see where's actually located. And then just remove it! You can also try to remove the localthumbcache.package file from your TS4 folder and then open your game to see if that excpetion is still showing up. Let me know if you need further help!
I have the same problem and searching on my taskbar also doesn‘t help. I can‘t find the broken mod at all.

At 1:10, to be more specific! Just sort your mods by date and try to determine which one's old. When you've come down to a conclusion, look that particular mod up and see if there's any update for it! If so, delete your current version from your Mods folder and install the latest one instead! Let me know if this works for you!

that's odd. i have broken mods but the notification never came up. As well as I don't know which of my mods are broken but when i'm customizing my sims it has the weird question mark.
Ohh, I see.. Did you update your game & install the latest version for your mod? Btw, those red question marks can be due to broken cc/missing files (so if you downloaded a recolor for a cc, make sure to add your mesh as well and those question marks will disappear).

so basically nothing in my game is broken, but why are my sims unresponsive, wont, listen and just stuck, like i told her to use the bathroom for instances and she walks over but dont use it

Is it a bed/sleep mod maybe? Try to search for these words inside your Mods folder (you might've installed the Replace Sleep Animation mod) and see if you happen to have any script mods related to those

Hello there! Don't worry if your MCCC shows up in the script mods list as well as in the cc section, as it includes one package file that is basically considered a cc. Did you unzip your mod before placing it in your Mods folder? Did you put it in your main Mods folder (don't use subfolders!)?
@@Darielle yes it works now after I unzipped the files! I have another question should I leave updates on for origin or turn then off? Because I’m afraid that it will break my game with the script mods installed
@@bricolq8870 you can obviously turn them off, but if you ever decide that you wanna update your game, just take out all of your script mods beforehand & then install your update. Hope it helps!!
I have a question. I followed this tutorial (to update MCCC (turns out, I haven’t updated it in a while)) and I copied my Electronic Arts folder to my desktop, now I can’t find any of my saves. My game is starting as if I’ve never played before. How do I fix this?
Hello there! So when you go inside your Documents folder, is there another Electronic Arts folder?
If you click on it & go to your Saves and Tray folders, are lots of files in there?
If not, we need to copy your Tray, Saves, your cc & screenshots files from the EA folder that is on your Desktop.
So for instance go into the Desktop EA > Saves folder, select all of your files, copy and then go into your Documents > Electronic Arts > Saves folder and paste them in there.
We should do the same for the Tray, cc and screenshots files :)

Hey I have a very big issue with my sims so I bought the apartment mod whatever it name is. Downloaded it, I couldn’t place any objects I was able to and click on them but I couldn’t put them in my homes. I already restarted my sims and laptop

The problem is that the game wont start wheni have all my mods because of the update :/
As for your mods, please make sure you don't copy and paste the old ones. Just redownload them to be sure that everything works fine (they also need to be the latest version!)
Since you said to put the MCC mod in just the Mod folder (not sub folder, which is what I had it in before) does that rule also apply for all of the other mods? I currently have my mods in separate folders, which is causing my game to lag and error thing to pop up. I am going to try it your way and keep them only in the mod folder no sub folder
@@KaltrinaDemiri yesss, the thing is, if the mod comes in a folder (ie. Slice of life comes into a folder after unzipping it & needs to be put exactly as it comes after unzipping it if I made sense), you can put it like that (after unzipping it if it ends with rar/zip, ofc), but if the mod has 2 separate files/one individual file that ends with ts4script/package, then put it like that, do not create yourself a subfolder for that mod 🙏
@@Darielle I just looked up the Slice of Life Mod and I can see multiple folders in there. For the example you’re using you’re saying that for that mod it would be okay to add the multiple folders that are in the mod after I unzip it? I don’t have to pull them out of those folders and add them just to the mod folder, right?
@@KaltrinaDemiri yes, exactly, you don’t have to pull out the mod from the folder, you should place it as it comes after unzipping it
But don’t put those folders inside another folder that you create in the mods folder, that’s what I’m saying, you know how we usually organise cc inside the mods folder into folders like clothes, makeup etc, this should not be done anymore (not even with cc bcs some won’t show up), so basically put the mods/cc as they come, directly into the mods folder

I followed your steps yest on the MCC it doesn't tell me the name where I can find it in my mods? I searched the name that shows in the game yet still can't find the person that created it?

Do you use the WW mod? That one could possibly make this notif pop up, so you can try to delete your mod & install the latest version for it

I cant find the cc
My last exception file says that it is a base game issue and now im stressed lol.
Have you maybe tried to reset your Mods folder and then copy and paste your cc only? And as far as mods go, just download the latest versions for them & install them into your new Mods folder, just so we make sure that there's no broken mod issue in your game!
So you can try to do this as follows:
1. Make sure you have mods&cc enabled in your game > close your game
2. Rename your Mods folder into Mods old (but keep your Mods old folder bcs we'll need it later on)
3. Open your game & close it straightaway
4. A new Mods folder should pop up
5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder
6. Download the latest versions for your script mods (so don't copy the old ones, and when I'm saying script mods I'm referring to UI cheats, MCCC, More Columns, Slice of Life etc.)
7. Put your script mods into your new Mods folder

I’m having a problem where I can use my sim to click other sims and the pie menu pops up but when I try to have them interact with their significant other nothing pops up.This has never happened to me before. If anyone knows what to do or how to fix it I could use some help 😭😭😭
Have you tried to remove your broken mods after update? Most mods are broken after installing the game update, so def take a look at your script mods (things like MCCC, WW, ui cheats, Slice of life etc.), remove those, download & install the latest versions for them in your Mods folder.

@@Darielle I have and the funny thing is I had to evict them and replace them as new sims in their home and I can use them to interact again
That's such a good idea, thank you for sharing so others can see it, too! One thing that also worked for me is saving my game using the 'save as' option and creating a brand new family slot! :)
I commented a bit ago but I didn't get a warning and I cant place any items I can only place walls

You can now fully exit your game, go to your Documents folder and a new EA folder should show up. Now you're free to copy your Saves, Tray and Screenshots files from your old Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders to your new Saves, Tray and Screenshots folders (located in your new EA folder). Launch your game and check if everything works properly. If so, you can copy your old cc from your old Mods folder to the newly generated Mods folder (in small batches!!) and make sure to open your game every single time you paste those just to make sure that everything works properly. If you still encounter this issue, please try to identify the problematic cc and remove it from your Mods folder. Btw, you should place your cc into your main Mods folder, do not use subfolders as some cc might not show up in the game. As far as mods go, make sure to download once again the updated versions for your mods (especially if you're using Adult mods!), extract them, copy and paste those files in your new Mods folder. Open your game and check if your issue is fixed.

So I downloaded Mc Comand Center and he pointed out what mods need to be deleted. But I don’t find the mod in my mods folder that needs to be fixed or deleted. What should I do?
Hello! Did you get a last exception notification in game? And are you sure that you opened your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder?
@@Darielle hi! I did it and I found the last exception link in my mods folder. So I clicked on it, then on Pretty error Callstack but now I don’t see the mod that’s broken.. so kinda weird.. 🤷🏽♀️

There is also a mod called better exceptions
With this one, you can generate a report that tells you what mods/cc need to be deleted

When that orange notification pops up, a html file will be automatically generated in your Mods folder. Open that file using a browser and there you should find some errors that contain specific words, based on which you can determine what mod is broken, if it makes any sense!

Mine doesn't say any mods has problems it says something about tmex mod but I can't find it also the spawning stuff like sims spawner unlock sim spawner seevixlce T.T please help 😣
Have you tried to take out any tmex mods that you have in your Mods folder? You can type in 'tmex' in your Mods folder search bar and then delete those files

Did that last exception notification pop up? If it didn't, that html file won't be generated. Have you looked into your Mods folder and tried to type in 'html' in that search field to see if there's one inside???

Hey!! This happened to me & it’s most probably due to broken mods
So here’s what can help:
- open the mods folder
- search ts4script in the search bar (inside the mods folder)
- write down the name of each mod
- delete all those ts4script files aka mods (that appeared in the search query)
- delete the localthumbcache file from the sims 4 folder (this is a temporary file that gets piled up with broken stuff from broken mods, but it’s going to be clean after opening the game)
- open the game and see how it goes!
resetting the mods folder does wonders as well!
We can reinstall those mods from the list ONLY if there are updated versions for them (you can check the release date on their website/creators website)

Hello there? Is your Mods folder too large to copy alongside your other folders included in your EA folder? You can esentially back up your whole EA folder on any other drive/folder, just make sure you're not pasting it in the same location (meaning your Documents folder)!

hi! so i have a question.. when i play with a certain sim my game crashes, but when i play with a different sim the game does not crash. (even tho the "broken" sim is still walking around). Do yk what the problem is and how to fix that? i thought it may be the cc but i dont seem to get a certain notification that my cc is broken/disabled.
Yes, it might be tied to your cc, so you can either:
1. Try to change your Sim into other cc clothes/base game clothes
2. Get rid of your furniture cc from your house
Or
3. Create a new slot for your family (by using the option 'save as' instead of 'save', restart your game & access the new save instead of the old one)

Yes, so the files that this mod reports as problematic should be deleted if that makes sense!

What if I'm using a cracked version of the game? Don't have origin to "repair" it.. Might have to delete all my mods 😯😭
How do you get the orange popup to come up? All of the mods that I have are clothing so I can't interact with anything to get it to pop up
That notification is only related to mods, so every time you access a mod in Live Mode and it doesn't work, that pop-up will show up to warn you that something's wrong with a certain script mod! I truly hope it makes sense!
Ohhh so it only works for script mods? (I figured out that my issue was putting mods in a copy folder instead of the original so I'm good now since I can remove bad ones lol)

You can also try the Better Exceptions mod that basically tells you the very same thing (what mods/cc are outdated and no longer compatible) ua-cam.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/v-deo.html orrr you can just simply delete script mods and see if your game works fine! Btw, you also need to update your mods as an update came out!

Sorry to hear that! So did you put your cc inside your Mods folder (not in subfolders)? Do you also have that resource.cfg file inside your Mods folder?

Hello there! Do you happen to use an antivirus? Did you make sure that it's not blocking your EA folder & your Sims 4 game? You can avoid that by adding your game & your EA folder to the exceptions/allowed apps list!
Did you also make sure to:
1.unzip your mod (if it has a zip/rar extension)
2. put it into your main Mods folder (don't use subfolders)
3. check if you have the resource cfg file inside your Mods folder?
You also need to update your script mods, as those might be broken/outdated after installing the latest patch.

Did you update your game as well as your MCCC mod? If you don't have any other script mods in your game, that might be why. And if you do, your mods might not be broken/outdated

Does it not appear in the mods folder?

Please note that you'll have to copy your saves, tray, screenshots and cc (not your mods!!) from your old EA folder to the newly generated one so please don't delete your old EA folder. Hope it helps!! 🤗

hey, it says that it’s a TraitTracker mod but i looked it up and it never showed up, pls help..
Hey!! Can we search it in the search bar on the task bar and see if it shows up anywhere? It might be called trait tracker injector
One thing that also helps me is:
- dividing all mods & cc (in the mods folder) in 2 batches
So if we have 200 cc & mods, we can cut + paste half of it (100 cc) into another folder that we create on Desktop
- the first batch is gonna stay in the mods folder
- the second one is gonna stay in that folder
- delete this file from your TS4folder (localthumbcache.package)
- open the game with half of your cc
See how it works and if that pop up about that mod still shows up!
If it does show up, then we can try to drag one file at a time from our mods folder to the desktop folder (where we have that second batch), open the game and repeat the process until that error no longer shows up!

You can keep it in your game, but whenever an update comes out, you'll need to delete it & install the latest version for it, as you would normally do for other mods :)
