I love this video and the Dain rant- LOL!!!! I'm like girl- I feel ya!!! I remember it soooo well! LMAOOOOO 👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣
I re-read both as well and I loved them both upon the re-read. I feel like Xaden/Violet could be frustrating but if you think about it, they're so new into their relationship. There's still so much they both need to learn about one another, so despite their back and forth it made sense to me that they were having trouble communicating and that trust between them (more so for Violet) wavered because they entered into their relationship without full transparency. Violet spent half of Fourth Wing thinking Xaden was going to kill her despite her growing attraction, then learning she was kind of spared bc of the deal her mom made with him. I don't know, their journey makes sense to me. As far as Cat, I think she's going to be a a bigger supporting character/presence in book 3 so it makes sense that she was thrown into book 2 at first to cause more friction between Xaden and Violet. Enjoyed your thoughts and reactions to these books, also RIP LIAM - I was feeling all the feels during my re-reads. I am hoping book 3, Violet is more solidified in her feelings and more confident and I can see Xaden retreating a bit bc he might trust himself with her now that he's venin. We shall see, SO excited to read it!

Loved watching this lol and for the ending, Brennan mended the ward stone but didn’t raise them, I think gen sorrengail did that with her sacrifice when she saved Violet from burnout. And xaden was dying which is why he reached further and drew magic beyond Sgaeyl and turned venin. His love for her was the reason and to keep her alive. That’s my viewpoint, hope that helps (:
