- Insidious The Red Door picks up 10 years after Insidious 2 and the Lambert family is not how we left them. Josh and Dalton start to remember what happened to them 10 years ago and we are taken back into "the further". Here is my SPOILER-FREE review of Insidious The Red Door.

I really enjoyed it. I loved the character development. There were a lot of jump scares. The girl he was rooming with had some funny lines and I liked that they kept certain things from the other ones to tie it all in. It was a bummer rose Byrne wasn’t in it more.
I was shocked how little Rose Byrne was in it! Part of the reason the first two worked was the family dynamic. So having them divorced and hardly in it was sad to see!
Went and saw it Saturday and to say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. Couldn’t agree more about pacing and plot. Thought it was utter trash and can’t hold any form of candle to the first two!
I wanted to love this movie. The first one is one of my favorites of all time and this one is easily one of the more forgettable ones. Unfortunately. But I do hope Patrick Wilson gets another shot at a horror movie. He can only do so much with a bad script.
