JAYCO Silverline, ‘what you see is what you get’ mass produced to price with no customisation. The interior white tape on joints peels in heat, you have few colours inside due to there bulk buying ie beige cardboard, the screws come loose on dirt road, the draws come apart and aren’t glued, the walls are made of 3 ply paper so you can’t attach much, but Value to money ideal. This is why they have 50% market, I’m speaking from experience of owning one, we traded it in due to quality issues of components in structure. As far as Chinese vans, riveted frame is great but the box on top isn’t made to have that much flex and begins cracking and allowing water ingress. All the gear in Aust built vans mainly comes from china
Hi, did you get a chance to take the ,On the move adventure for a few nights? Have been looking at 1 myself and did find that Coromal caravans made this same or similar van around 2018 pioneer evolution.
No, never heard from them at all despite discussions and emails etc. I joined their Facebook group and it looks like there’s all sorts of issues!!! I did like a few features but it appears the product is underwhelming so far. Do your due diligence I suggest….. there are lots more of exciting products out there to explore.
These vans are based on the Coromal Evolution vans, the guy who worked at Coromal now is with On The Move. The Pioneer Evolution is the full off road version, the RTV Evolution is the semi off road and the on road is plain Evolution. New Coromal post 2019/2020 are made by Majestic so no similarities to the composite Evolution range.
You can’t compare runners made in China with a caravan made in China. Something happens to your runners, no real inconvenience. Something goes wrong with the a caravan, you could have a major issue and inconvenience.
Couldn't pay me enough money in the world to convince me to buy a caravan through caravan HQ, in particular On the Move Caravans. Zero customer service.
Apple might be made in China but it’s designed in California by engineers who went to Cal-Tech. I had a bolt together chassis with Jurgens. Never again. The wing is just another one of those useless add ons that manufacturers are tacking on these days to grab another $1000 out of you.
Jayco’s are junk. They look nice, but own and use one on a regular basis for a couple of years and you won’t have enough fingers and toes to count the problems you will have with it.
Jayco! You crack me up! 😂🤣😂

Great info thanks!
It looks like it could be one of those 'Transformer Robots' - thinking Optimus Prime.
We’ve asked for one to review. Imagine if it could transform into a palace at the campsite…. We’ll see.

There is a big opportunity for companies who provide customer service in the caravan industry it would seem!
