Mass Effect Trilogy - Almost all squad members die
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 жов 2024
- =Mass Effect 1=
Kaiden dies on Virmire. Alternatively Ashley can die in his stead.
=Mass Effect 2=
Jack dies without the Normandy's improved armor.
Kasumi dies without the Normandy's shield improvement.
Thane dies without the Normandy's cannon upgrade.
Jacob dies as the chosen vent specialist.
Grunt dies as the accompanying squad member on the biotic walk with a specialist who was not loyal.
Garrus dies as the leader of the second fireteam while not being loyal.
Legion dies while escorting the remaining crew and not being loyal.
Samara and Tali die as the squad mates during the final fight while not being loyal.
Zaeed dies during his loyalty mission after the suicide mission.
=Mass Effect 3=
Mordin dies when Shepard double crosses him to sabotage the genophage cure.
Ashley dies during the Citadel attack when Shepard shoots her. Kaiden would alternatively take her place here.
Legion's replacement dies after uploading the Reaper code.
Wrex dies after being shot by Shepard on the Citadel when he confronts him. He can also die on Virmire but this is far more psychologically traumatizing.
Liara and James die to Harbinger's beam in the Extended Cut DLC. In theory any two squad mates can die here with low enough effective military strength rating.
Javik remains in stasis.
Traynor and Joker can never die. EDI survives but losing her body in the extended cut would never really destroy her. Shepard chooses to continue the cycle, killing the survivors.
From Mass Effect to Mass Murder.
Underrated comment
Mass Murder Effect
HUAHUAHUAHAHUAHUA
😂
Maybe the real Mass Effect is the friends we murdered along the way
Thane:
-Im dying Shepard..
Shepard:
-Hurry up
woopss
This made me lol
I was planning a run like this (probably don't have the heart for it) and was planning to pick Thane and Legion to get me through ME2. get as many people dead ASAP.
Mass Effect if the Reapers had indoctrinated Shepard instead of Saren
Indeed.
That's actually a possibility for someone, but it's the Asari Dr. from Virmire. You save her in 1, see her in 2, and in 3 her indoctrination is finalized & she kills off some important Asaris.
When you think about it If you go the renegade path shepard does kill way more than saren ever did LMAO
@@johnnyboogalo4897 isn't there a way to save people while being a renegade?
Whoops :D
Wrex: "I made the mistake of trusting you, believing you were my friend!"
that wounded my heart
I mean he SAW what Shep did to the rest of his so-called friends. And still Wrex was dumb enough to believe Shepard was his friends? Darwin says let him die.
Edit: this comment was made under the assumption you were talking about virmire.
Broke my heart into pieces more than anything else could do, especially since I knew if I didnt rush through the game I could avoid it, I was at intimidate rank 7/8, charm 4/8, and didnt do his loyalty mission because after playing the original version of 3 and andromeda completely ignoring side quests, I completely forgot how fast the games go by if you do so. Decided to shoot Wrex myself because I didn't want that bitch Ashley killing one of the best characters in the game.
@@ceoofcomedy3009 Ouch. That sucks man.
@@UTO7 yeah, and googling it apparently he was one of the more well written characters, i didnt have any saves that were near then too.
That scene really doesn't sit right with me. I mean, he's a Krogan, who has secondary and tertiary organs as well as a redundant nervous system. That took way, way too few bullets to finish him.
This takes FAAAR more effort and planning than keeping everyone alive. I am thoroughly impressed and depressed at the same time.
Yep 😂
nop, it actually take less effort, more planning maybe, but less effort for sure, u have to skip tons of side missions and that is hours and hours of gameplay.
Hardly, all you have to do is skip side quests or do badly at the few mandatory ones. All the planning that is required boils down to making sure 1 squad member is alive at the end of me2 to save Shepard at the end since otherwise you cant get a ME3 import.
Other than that its just skipping missions and making the worst choices in a few others. Bad end game would be like half as long as best end in ME2.
Haha how dumb are you? This takes almost no effort what so ever.. basically just play the bare minimum and everyone will die.
Planning yes, effort no. Most of the work is done in ME2 by doing no loyalty missions and picking the wrong people for the various assignments on the suicide mission.
"10.000 Asari died"
Shepard: "Whoops."
x'D
"Shepard condemns his cycle to death anyway"
Shepard: "Whooops"

In Garrus dying moment instead of being angry for Shepard's reckless planning he's sorry for not being there for him in the end.
There's no better definition for loyalty and friendship.
Garrus is the best squadmate hands down.

@@siggyunsichtbar6980 Nope, because now i need recalibrate everything was damaged by the Reapers
I like how you saved killing Wrex for mass effect 3 where it's way more heartless and cold.
But not Tali.
@@theindooroutdoorsman FR tali’s made my heart break and I totally wasn’t expecting it

Also shooting Mordin in 3 is brutal. I tried to play a Renegade Shepard who would make all the opposite decisions of my main, but I simply couldn’t make myself shoot Mordin. Or betray Wrex as a result. At that point it felt too much like my Paragon playthrough so I stopped.
I may have to just arrange for Mordin to have an “accident” during the suicide mission if I try to do a renegade run again.
"This is the only kind of person who CAN protect the galaxy" - Anderson.
Woops!
hahaha, this should be the title of the video.
Whoopsie
Anderson: He knows how tough life can be out there. His parents were killed when slavers attacked Mindoir.
Hackett: He saw his whole unit die on Akuze. He could have some serious emotional scars.
Udina: Is that the kind of person we want protecting the galaxy? Are we sure he didn't do those himself?
“I’m not proud of you Shepard..”
Tali dying in 3 is way more devastating than dying in 2.
She commit suicide. In my first cycle i get that ending... I restarted the game
@@italojigsaw I'm well aware of that. Hence why I said it is way more devastating.
So who was that in 3 if Tali dies during the suicide mission.
@@oakeye980 Admiral Raan
@@italojigsaw I've honestly never been that devastated by a video game characters death. LOU2 had a death that was so obscene and over the top it felt like watching a snuff film. That one felt like I was gonna be sick, but not in a emotionally affecting way. Just a feeling of disgust and a bit of depravity on the writers part. But Tali in ME3 was so shocking and it hurt so much after the fact that it almost felt like a real friend committing suicide. Did the same thing. Went all the way back to 2 and redid everything to make sure she and the Geth had a proper resolution. Then the ending of the trilogy broke my heart again.
I've never played male shep but that "whoops" cracked me up
Its probably one of the funniest things in the series. I did it one playthrough just for shits and giggles and it was worth it

Let's take a moment to thank the man for gathering footage across three different games in a single playthrough because of how difficult it is to deliberately kill your own team.
It's pretty easy actually lol..in me2 just don't upgrade your ship or do any loyalty missions.
@@spritsfal5088 How? There are literally way longer games and some of the loyalty missions really add to the characters lol. Why would you kill your whole team on purpose? That's a real psychopath right there lol. 😂
@@spritsfal5088 Lmao well ik how to keep everyone alive, that's how Ik how to kill em lol. I just read your comment wrong. I only know how to kill them because Ik how to save them all, I was saying that I wouldn't intentionally kill anyone in the game, but ik how to lol. Mass Effect 3 is boring if you kill everyone tbh.
@@thatkidcgonzo On my first ME2 playthrough I didn't complete most of the loyalty missions because I was eager to see the climax ASAP and when my squadmates were asking me to attend their personal matters while the future of the galaxy was at stake, I was annoyed and thought "now it's not the time". I didn't know the consequences.
Then I went to the suicide mission and it felt truly dramatic but that's what you would expect from going to a black hole in the center of the galaxy and 7 people infiltrating in the ship of the enemy.
After that I reloaded the game and did all the loyalty missions. When everything went good in the suicide mission, it felt very flat to me. Like the so-called suicide mission wasn't such.
When everything goes right as planned it doesn't feel like the mission was so hard or dangerous. It also feels like there aren't hard choices to make in the game: since you can save everybody, why would you choose not to?
This is why I love the Virmire mission in ME1. No matter what you do, you'll always have to sacrifice someone.
@@astrius4125 I get that, but these characters are what makes Mass Effect 3 so dope. If you kill nearly everyone in the suicide mission there's a lot of content missing. The loyalty missions add a lot of depth to the characters and their goal. You're right it does add more stake to the final mission losing people, but some of the best me3 missions are lacking if some people are missing.
This is the most painful thing to watch
One of my teachers told me getting 100% on a test is hard but getting 0 is even harder
This is literally going out of your way to get a 0
I got 0 before, couple times in fact, but never once get a single 100% beside the IQ test lol
So Nobita is stupidly genius, cause he can get 0 all the time
Theirs no such thing as 100% on an iq test...
@@davidmarshall3683 well I did answer all the question right so technically it is 100% but it’s the limitation of the test, not saying the test is human limit of how iq works
It's easier to get 0. Just don't bother. Or make answers that are both wrong and make no sense.
*Entire crew dies and reapers succeed in wiping out all life*
Shepard: Whoops
Lmmfao that's so fucked up.
Reapers: Seriously, Shepard. You're making this way too easy. Maybe we should just chill in dark space and let _you_ kill everyone.
If you want the worst scenarios I think is better to let Samara, Tali and Jack survive the suicide mission so then later Tali and Samara commit suicide and Jack ends up tortured and turned by Cerberus.

That's quite the way to cut off the emotional connection to a virtual world, when you can't find people to share the warmth with of those personalities, and it blinds you to present people, and potential new social, and emotional, connections.

Alternate title, "Mass Effect Trilogy - Shepard is just an asshole"
Funny thing to note: That is literally the only place in the entire game where James can die. Unless you take him on that final mission with very low military effectiveness, he's basically invincible.
Edi, James and Liara are unkillable except here yes.
Mass Effect 3 has planned how we can be assholes and kill our entire crew including Garrus, Tali and Ashley/Kaidan, so we get three unkillable companions until the end with a soldier, biotic and "engineer".
@@garroshhellscream594 edi dies either way in destroy ending
@@TUCHENZ yup, best ending.
@@garroshhellscream594 I still don't understand how Liara could make the video sent into the next cycle if she was dead already... writing error? Or did she make it earlier in the story, it's been a while since I played it.

Being able to get all your squad members dead is DEDICATION! It's skill!
For sure. Evil mastermind stuff there.
The Garrus death in ME2 was most impressive due to RNG factors.
I pulled that off in my evil/jerk run through. Joker wasn’t even able to save Shepard when he jumps from the collector ship. Only joker and edi made it.
Javik and EDI are still alive. But EDI will be indoctrinated and Javik's pod will go dark while Pyjaks and Shifty Cows develop agriculture and trade.

Damn when you play like this it makes you wonder why everyone thought Shepard could do it at all

Thane getting killed like that scarred me. I didn't know anything about the squad dying during the suicide mission, and seeing him get crushed by debris like that devastated me.
i killed everyone on my first run on mass effect 2 mostly by accident
Thank you for doing this so I don't have to. Idk which was more heartbreaking Garrus or Wrex!
*whoops*
I would say Jack's.
Every fkn story rpg should have this kind of decision
Wow, this takes me back. I forget how, but there's a way to get an "empty Rannoch", both Quarians and Geth dead, can't remember how that happens though.
Gotta be if you kill the geth in the destroy ending
In fact, he chose the 4th end : " condemn the cycle ". So, Rannoch gonna be empty. Same for Earth, Palaven, Thessia, etc.
guess by choosing geth over quarians and pickoing destroy option.
You literally played again all three games and killed all of your squadmates . Wow that s hard work!
As mush as I like to do different playthroughs, I just can't betray Garrus, Wrex, Tali, and Mordin. Nope! I'm not doing it.
Man same. Garrus is the best friend you could ever ask for. Tali is so damn adorable I cant. Wrex is an asshole that you love anyways. Mordin is, like Chambers says, a hamster on coffee and I love the dude. Also not looking forward to going through me3 again (currently on 2) and hearing him say "had to be me. Somebody else would have gotten it wrong". I'm a grown man about to bawl like an idiot all over again
There's no way to really betray Garrus, his deaths are more or less accidental/negligent. Wrex, Tali, and Mordin on the other hand can be actively betrayed.
You are not alone. Garrus, Tali, Wrex, and Liara alone stayed loyal to Shepard long after they met him and didn't give up on what he knew.
I almost cried when mordin died. Why... Whyyyyyyyyy is also very hard to save him if u dont know
Me rewatching this and wondering: "Why did I dislike this?"

Tali committing suicide in ME3 is still one of the most heartbreaking deaths in video gaming.
I'm with you on that one. No farewell, just a denial and simply joining her people in death. I've never seen most of these, I can never bear to lose the teammates, but I watched my wife play and lose Tali, and I about lost it when Tali quit.
Lol My Tali died in ME2 itself. No regret in supporting Geth over Quarians just because Tali wasn't there around.
@Joske Vermeulen don't worry you aren't alone. I lost Tali's loyalty in ME2 itself and she died. I just exposed her dad's wrong doing to save her instead she was angry on me. Could never understand women even in game bruh.
I hate seeing kill herself, especially knowning the quarians asked for it and almost deserve being wiped out by the geth (almost)
@Joske Vermeulen the geth sided with reapers so they deserve to be wiped out of existance
shooting Mordin from behind really hit me. I could never do that nor betray Wrex

That ending almost broke some of my ribs.
Thane really got.... Washed out

I'm triggered because they didn't show punching that paranoid guy on Eden Prime and killing Shiala on Feros from Mass Effect 1
So in the end of Mass effect 3 there is only one Squadmate still standing... Javik the Prothean! Oh, wait! you can't have him on the team, cause its a paid DLC. So yeah, you can actually kill everyone (including EDI and the Geth)
