      I get the joke, however at the same time I think its important to point out that within this decade, multirotors delivering cargo, collecting sensor data and monitoring all sorts of activities in society will be filling the 0-300 foot airspace . Hobby quads are engineered and function using very similar electronics and hardware as these coming commercial drones and I for one am interested and happy to have a strong understanding of their fundamentals for lots of very good reasons.

    Wow, I thought that was some of the fastest indoor flying I'd ever seen !!!! Almost hard to watch, making my head spin !! Pretty fast and durable quad from the look of it. I expect some damage after a few hard hits. As for the connectors, Yes we need a new style, I just wish they would have them all shipped and stocked before announcing them. Nothing new is any good to the general public if you can't get it.. I would trust that GNB would develop a guud connector and I will buy in, but only if they are readily available, and not overpriced. If battery manufacturers can't get a standard going soon, then XT-30 will win by default for me. I'm not changing between brands every time a new connector comes out. I'll just cut the works off and get soldering.

    Hey Nick great video. However there was one inaccuracy. When you were talking about not being able to fly the newer FrSky radios on D8. I use an X-Lite Pro and fly D8 Whoops exclusively. You just buy the XJT Lite module for $10. So you might want to mention that to FrSky owners instead of telling them they need to buy a different radio. So many people love to recommend going out and buying the crossfire module for $150, but balk at buying a D8 module. For some reason there is a double standard there.
    Edit: just went and checked, looks like a lot of places are selling this module for $20 now.

      @@NickBurnsFPV There also needs to be some individual accountability. Take an extra second to make sure you put it on correctly.
      Sure, we should make it more idiot proof, because if we want to grow the hobby and whoops are great for kids, then we should be making it harder to get it wrong.

I also use them on 1s, 2s, 3s, and my smaller 4s batteries. xt30 is great cause its so versitile and can be pulsed WELL beyond 30amps which is awesome for my 4s ultra 4in and 5in builds. its so nice going to fly and only needing 1 charger or 1 charge lead or max 2 because its only xt60 and xt30. would be cool if the stick batteries came with xt30's on the end that would be cool. 1-2 grams extra for that much more performance is WORTH IT

      @@NickBurnsFPV Also, I'm not sure about this as my "daily driver" because of the battery setup. Would have much rather if it ever-so-slightly larger and using a "regular" 2S single battery like 300 Mah that are common. Having to charge 20 batteries instead of 10 when I go to the park for a half-hour of flying a whoop is somewhat of a deal-breaker. But they are onto something with this type of 2S flight controller.

    • @NickBurnsFPV
      @NickBurnsFPV  4 роки тому +1

      This is a personal choice: I don't desire more than 2:30 of flight time at a time. I need a concentration break, and often I crash inside by the time I get to 3mins. I have experimented with 48khz, while it does increase flight time it also slows down how the motors respond to decreasing response, thus it flies differently.

    • @flylow3457
      @flylow3457 4 роки тому

      @@NickBurnsFPV Valid points, specially considering how fast you fly.
      However, having a 6 minutes flight time doesn't prevent from doing breaks in between, and would help save money on the needed number of lipos also. About the 48khz, I do understand that change in response feeling does not suit your flying style. For slower flyers like us common mortals it s probably less impacting I guess 😅.
      I hope another reviewer will experiment at least the 75mm mod.

    Betaflight 3.5.7 ? what's that, a year + old? LOL First thing I'd do is flash Emuflight and JESC 48KHZ! That new connector and its extra weight, compared to the PH 2.0, has got to be really small amount, and IMO not an issue. This who0p looks like it'll be a huge seller! B U T... Kinda spendy though, considering it's not really got anything new except for that battery connector and the $15 Ant camera! I see it's available in Crossfire, but with only a 25mw VTX, we know which will give out first, that's for sure! lol IMO, with the Frsky receiver option, it should sell for around $80 - 85. After all, what does it have that the Mobula6 doesn't? Same size motors, but a different KV, a lower retail priced camera $15 vs. $20 for a Runcam Nano3, that new connector, which should cost a difference of pennies! So, why $106 USD? AND, $138...$32 more for the retail $25 Crossfire Nano receiver! Kinda a screwing us all around! Knock $20-25 bucks off all options and get it more in line with what it's worth! 👍
    Funny how they are kinda porking us on this new who0p released a couple of days after Newbeedrone FINALLY releases a new who0p where they aren't porking us on their typical super high prices! *I think their new who0p at $79.99 is a MUCH, MUCH BETTER DEAL!*

I would be surprised if the vtx would run 100+mw the last crazybee AIO did.
