Good Job Mad Steex, I looked at many reviews about this torpedo capture x product, you were the only one who showed everything in full explaining in detail what happens. you deserve a lot more followers! well done man !!!
If you have got tired of the Kemper..... And you still love your valve head and pedals, sell the Kemper and get one of these. THE best bit of kit for years! You don't even have to use your cab, it's brilliant.
Hey man ! Your quick video absolutely NAIL this captor X; thanks for doing it in relatively lamens terms! *** I have some questions for you and curious how you like your simple - quick jamming setup like this to provide the sound for your marshall heads 1-2 years later after making this captor X video ? Does it still rock ?? ^ * I appreciate any tips and observations as a newbie who is finally considering getting a captor for the silent recording and silent playing at home practicing since currently; my 2x12 cab and 50, 100w heads are too loud in my new townhouse and I will need a way to play quiet but keep my tube heads kicking and everyone loves the captor X for this right ? ^ Also buying real speakers gets pricey quick - 2 v30s and say g12 65 green backs cost as much as a 2 notes captor X unit ! But if you get the captor X all of a sudden you can use any 2x12 or Any 4x12 at home with quiet reasonable volumes and not to mention emulations of " rare " and vintage overpriced speakers as well Even if it is a digital speaker copy; I will NEVER be able to play or buy cabs and speakers like say a 4x12 cab full of vintage 70s black backs or scumbacks which are excellent but very expensive especially for of them - I'm not rich and don't have the space and volume to be able to play one of those anyways ! So now, with this ; I finally could ! But it really sounds good ? And; It can sound like late 70s early 80s hard rock n roll and beyond? ^ this is mostly what I live in Early EVH, george lynch , Warren demartini, steve stevens and other 80s stuff not necessarily "modern metal" or much cleaner fendery type playing. * Lastly, in your honest opinion for a newbie like me looking at making my tube amp heads half digital by using these cab / speakers Sims with Teo noted captor X how STEEP is the learning curve ? I need the captor + 2 powered speaker monitors + an interface and my laptop or iPad that's it correct ? Not much else but specific mic and speaker cables right ? * will it take all day to dial in a speaker sim ? Some sound amazing, like Phil x George lynch , steve stevens and Peter thorn who all have amazing demos but especially on Pete's and Steve's I see a full screen of eq settings dragging and dropping mics, adjusting the eq settings on the virtual speaker cabs etc it all looks very dizzying and intimidating for someone who's never done this - was it fairly easy and friendly to get the hang of ? Do you think it takes atleast a day or 2 to get a proper handle on ? ^ * That's the main stuff I d love to know, too many videos use this in very elaborate setups, when I would like the least hassle free plug - and play method as possible - so I can spend less time dialing, and the most time just playing the tube amps that I couldn't play quietly for a long time without the Captor X ! ^ * Thanks in advance for any advice mate, Lmk what you think whenever ! Cheers from Niagara Canada 🤟🏻🙏
Hi Adam! First of all thank you so much for your kind words and for the attention for my video. Let me say that I use the Captor X EVERY DAY since I received for the review. Is so essential for me to use tube amplifier in silent mode but also tu crank the amps with gain and volume keeping the same characteristic as the amp at impossible volume. I use it always at maximum attenuation for 100w amps in distortion channel while with amps with 50W or 100W clean channel I use t he middle attenuation. Sounds amazing. I can finally record my anps and develop also profiles for kemper and quad cortex with real amplifier profiling the whole amp and not only the preamp. For the use in silent mode you only need to go from the captor X directly to the audio interface and pc/monitor speakers. You can bypass the real cab thanks to the loadbox feature of the captor x. I usually don’t use the ir cavinet from two notes pr third party, but I’ve developed lot of impulse responses cabinet in my studio premoxed and ready to rock! If you want to listen something you can search the website www.presetsforall.com/shop and search for the impulse responses. Easy drag and drop as cabinet (choose the mic, choose the position) and you get a cool ready mixed rock/metal sound. About real cab I’ve just built a 4x12 with WGS speakers which in my opinion sounds amazing! And I’m to develop an IR cabinet pack of that cabinet soon
Awesome video bro. I have a captor x too and don't know how I ever live without it. Is your mic from your (real) cabinet going into your interface as well as the two XLRs from the captor x?
I think that's really bad for the amp, a reactive load like that doesn't flex enough to soak the amp power on full blast, it's just designed to not blow. The amp output transformer can still get severely fucked up maxed into a load like that
Best piece of kit I have bought in a long while.👍

Thanks man! Sub for more
Great demo!
Thank you!
Damn I need one of these
I’m looking to purchase an attenuator so would this work with my Marshall 30w combo? Does this go into the effects loop?
This can work with amplifiers up to 100 watt. You need 2 speaker cable cause it will be connected between the amp and the cabinet
Can't get captor x to pair with my android phone. Tried both pins they suggested, still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
4 zeros and then the last 3 digits of the serienummer!

It works very well, not exceed 100W of power. I'm using it every day to profile my amp for Kemper use
It works exactly as it should! I get what you are saying you just got to try it.
