They recommend installation of starter strop at the lowest point of the building . That would be a mistake. It engages with the panels about 3" from the bottom on the panels I looked at yesterday.
@@notsure9137 Dry stack (DS) has a hinged two-piece corner that *should* work on 45 degree corners. But beware that Stacked stone (SK) does not. You have to jerry rig anything other than a 90 degree outside corner.
... I believe it surely can be installed to concrete block by the use of 'tapcons' ... these are blue threaded screw bolts and are available at all hardware and HD-Lowes-Menards ... everythings as shown to install as in this video only the 'tapcon' replaces nailing ... the tapcons would also not be securely tightened to the block so that this product can move just like installing any vinyls siding material due to weather temp changes otherwise the panels may buckle which when viewed appears wavy - and no one wants that appearance. Tapcon sizing would be like 3/16" and i'd have them penetrate approx one inch into the blocks by way of drilling first using one size larger concrete bit.in a hammer-drill. I was just quoted 7000 to install about 120 sq ft on a 30x4 foot ponywall with 2 windows and one exterior corner..with novik dry stack stone..I figure the total cost for Supplies at 2 grand so they are charging 5000 grand for labor..it must go up alot slower then regular siding ? Or are they trying to soak me ..cdn dollars by the way..
Just finished hiding our house's ugly brick facade with Novik Artisan Cut. What Novik never mention: everytime you cut a panel horizontaly, the part that you cut off is 100% wasted. We bought 30 pieces. According to our calculations, we only needed 25. Well....we bought 43 panels in total. Going around doors, windows, garage doors...etc wastes a lot of panel. Also, here in Canada, their distribution totally sucks. Novik sales to Mitten and Mitten sales to the hardware store. Everyone takes a cuts. Some details on panels mechanical engineering flaws. Also lead time is about 3 weeks!! Basically, will never use Novik products again

A string trimmer would chew holes in the bottom panel. Use Azek or treated lumber for lower 4" .
I wonder if I can just use drywall anchors instead of adding a sheet of plywood.
do the 2 piece trim and bottom j channels come with the stone panels or is that purchased separately?
Do you need the starter strips or will jtrim work as a base?
What is the color of the product being installed in this video?
Do they make a kit for the old style hurricane doors to the basements? Prefer Brick. Needs to go into cement. I Can Make that work with inserts.....
What is the width of the visible part of the trim
Can these panels be cut with a handsaw ??
Seems like they should mention that the panels are NOT 16 on center - so they have to be installed
over plywood...
Can you use this as an interior wall panel around the fireplace?
would not pass fire code.
What about corners that are not 90 degrees? I have a couple 45 degree corners.
Kyle Wagner did anyone answer your question?
@@robertbonsai7176 Nope.

I just did it (on brick) need to install 1x3 every 8 inches or so with a RamSet. A lot of work
What are the width dimensions of the corner pieces?
nice grass
Gets less and less stone each decade. Pretty soon they will just spray paint some sand on the wall and draw lines.

You're getting taken. It's simple to install. You could do it yourself.
@@rhodagillen4892 ended up getting vinyl siding 👍
Why Is this stuff have to be so expensive
... have u priced regular vinyl siding lately ... or checked out a more realistic stone product pnel ... everythings out of control (lol)
It's much cheaper than real stone.

100% agree..too expensive in canada👍
If you have a concrete block that is uneven, installing this Novik-Dry Stack Stone is a complete nightmare. I do not recommend this product.
Just trim it like everything else
Stupid music......why
Great music
