Love Liza! I can see a lot of her mother. She looks like her father but has many characteristics of her mother. Especially when she speaks.
    You're amazing Liza!

Liza is FAR too often remembered and stereotyped for her repetitive "belted to the rafters" performances of just a few songs. The Cabaret score and "New York" were legitimate high points. She ultimately held them so closely to her own accepted celebrated repertoire and then performed them, ad nausea, at every opportunity that she stopped being expected to sing anything new or original. Liza's gifts as a singer and an interpreter of lyrics are so much greater than her rigidly adhered to songbook will allow history to judiciously record.

Agreed , her rendition of “a new life “ is stunning . Check it out .. and her work with pet shop boys esp “ tonight is forever “, and “ our love is here to stay “ at radio city , and “ sailor boys “ at Carnegie are definitive to imho compared to the ones she’s known for ?.

I agree that nobody was more talented than Judy Garland. But that fact in and of itself should not cause us to disregard other talents. Liza Minnelli is talented too and she worked hard at it. Nobody is supposed to be Garland except Garland. People work HARD to entertain us. We shouldn't be so dismissive of them just because we expect everybody to be a Judy Garland.
