Duncan Trussell used to be one of my favorites.... Since he's gotten older hes gotten into Baal and Moloch worship and even said on JRE he wants to join Bohemian Grove. Moloch and Baal are different versions of the same entity, Moloch translates in Hebrew to child sacrifice, the golden bull of the bible.
I'm not religious but I am spiritual as cliche as that is to say but when it comes to the emodiment of child sacrifice for anti aging is disgusting from any angle.
Look up Duncan trussell and moloch and you will see the tweets I cant posts the links on youtube.

Rainn, if a person is able to have a transcendent experience with a psychedelic treatment -- and they happen to have a profound spiritual shift --- that sounds like a good thing to me. I mean, we need all the help we can get in this cruel, capitalist culture that offers no comfort or hope. With you on the spiritual bypass though, too. I've been at this for decades, so doing ALL the work.

I love Soul Boom and am a major proponent of harm reduction. I’ve used “alternative medicines” responsibly to treat depression and migraines; I do think that conversations around use v abuse always need a disclaimer that experimentation is a higher-risk activity for people with genetic predispositions to substance use disorder. If you try something and you like it a lot and want to try it again the next day, that’s one you need to avoid.

Neal Brennan says its hard to Influence people, well: My imput is the next one: INSIDE ALL OF US exists the same desire of a better world ( understand the "word" WORLD as much as to be yourself more happier, to make another human being be happier, to live a happiest life, to build some happy community of friends, family or whatever) so IF SOMEONE AS RAINN with Soulboom takes the lead, and points the way and talks about the possibility of a better world, I think he doesnt has to do A VERY HARD WORK INFLUENCING NOBODY cause he is calling that inner voice that exists in every people to think and want the same thing, he will connect with whoever is more or less connected with that mandate and will encourage to a LOT of about doing something about it; SOMETIMES YOU NEED JUST ONE PERSON TO START WALKING IN A DIRECTION TO BE FOLLOWED BY OTHERS ( Remember Forrest Gump?)
So many times people dont change cause nobody encourage them to change, cause nobody makes them believe they can change for better.
I just want to gave my imput on this...
Another aspect in wich I believe is this one: humanity needs to reverse its to think about mental Health as a problem or a dessease but mostly be able to see it as a a departure from the truth, which is: we are powerful, we are well, we can be loved, we do not have to be perfect or fit in, there are things that hurt, we all having different times and rythim, it is okay to be different, the same things happen to all of us different degrees or scales, there isnt such a thing as: to be born with a bad star, being cursed, or being condemned to misfortune, there is just a mind to comprehend and emotional body to experience different sensations, an eternal look for pleasure and escape from pain, an non clear understanding of death, and a desperate look for meaning and the survival or an idea that there isnt one; and all that works with the ideas we give it to our mind, soul and body and the perceptions that we made based on what we feel and the way that we see the world around us.
I DONT KNOW IF THIS IDEA IS CRAZY BUT... WHAT ABOUT TO HAVE RICHARD GADD on the PODCAST? ♥ Love you Soulboom.

Ancestral knowledge of plants is the most ancient form of medicine that we have. Further, all modern pharmaceuticals are chemicals derived from plant and animal parts. The mixture of plants that makes Ayahuasca effective were known to shamans of the Amazon basin for thousands of years; modern scientists "discovered" this in the 1950's, and guess where their groundbreaking research was conducted, and where these plant derived medicines were discovered? The very same place that the shamans inhabited. To take exception to the term "plant medicine" is to take exception to the very foundations of the science that allows us to treat so many human ailments. The shamans themselves describe the plants themselves as the ones that imparted the knowledge to the shamans. Consider the possibility that your Creator did not construct the non-animal/non-human kingdoms to be lesser and unworthy of the ability to communicate? Please accept this gentle correction in your knowledge. Heroin was invented by Bayer corporation and was the biggest driver of its growth in the 1800's. Guess how it was legal? Yep, it was 'medicine'.

Sometimes a shortcut is very useful, specially if you have been lost for a while. So don’t knock shortcuts, they exist for a reason. Maybe not everybody deserves a shortcut, but most people could use one. Sometimes just to be among the rest of the people and not feel so behind. It’s not a shortcut to win, is a shortcut to live a little better.

When i think of a the central creation force, whatever it might be to you. I just try and envision what's in the centre of a black hole. Its something totally beyond our understanding..maybe even will never know and never see it, but it exists. Time stops, matter is gone, light can't escape it..the singularity is beyond everthing.
Whatever inside that blackhole is creation for me

I love how Rainn is getting so worked up about people taking ayahuasca and quite annoyed about 😂..I understand it that people take it for an easy quick spiritual awakening or healing without putting in "the work"but from what I hear is that for those who may get insights also need to do more afterwards to integrate or work on what they may have learnt. It still takes a practice if it's to be of any lo g term benefit.
I agree that there are risks and it is not gor everyone sbd is all too often abused and commercialised now with dodgy shamans and a lack of follow up or aftercare.
The point is with someone like Neil is that is has lead to lasting change and transformation and a belief and experience of the Divine that has sustained him.
I have not taken any ayahuasca but did have a spiritual awakeni g that was very overwhelming and with experiences similar to ones I've heard people have through ayahuasca.
I agree it can be spiritual bypassing but it can also for some like Neil be the difference betweeniving or not and gave him enough insight and experience of Divine love to sustain his desire for life and appreciate it.
I would not be so dismissive but also see the need for caution and discernment and that there are many pathways to God avd healing and transformation.
I love listening to Neil talk though and his experiences because as ge says somehow you know it's real and on many ways more real than the reality we live in everyday.

1:12:42 I think that there IS a Spiritual Truth that underlies this experience you're describing.
Purportedly, we all CHOOSE to be here, in whatever "roll of the dice" situation we're born into, so it would ultimately NOT be a roll of the dice, but a Conscious choice (yes, even the 'starving children in africa' or 'babies born with cancer' tropes, I do not pretend to know the reason why those are chosen if this idea is True)
Recently I've been receiving multiple messages through Spirit/Spirit Guides that are effectively telling me to stay positive/maintain a High Vibration, even if it seems like the world is burning down around me.
It reminds me of Ram Dass talking to Emmanuel, and he was told, "You're in a School, so why don't you try taking the curriculum? Why don't you try being Human?". ❤🌎

Loved this episode! Rainn and Neal's worry about psychedelics reminds me of soma. They used to use soma to communicate with the gods. It was limited to the priest class and then filtered into the laypeople and from there it got into the general population. They went from communion with the gods to, "Let's go 'communicate with the gods'" (wink wink) and it became so abused in the population that they took a hammer and chisel to all references to it. The journey downward of the drug is basically the story of virtually all the drugs that have been used and are still. Even tobacco and chocolate were those things, too, at various times.
I want to try something guided sometime because I feel like there's a "veil" or "filter" that's keeping me from connecting with something. I know there is, actually. But I hesitate because I don't know if my time here is to figure out how to lift that veil/filter off without that shortcut, or if I get to know about the options from being born at this time and place and if I get to the otherside and I find out the universe is handing me its version of the punchline to the classic joke, "I sent you a Jeep, and boat, and a helicopter."

So, this is the first episode of Soul Boom I've seen. I watched it in its entirety and, after having given myself 24 hours to think it over, and assuming Rainn and the producers of this channel are interested in constructive comments, I'd like to share two thoughts: First, I am deeply shocked that Rainn, especially after seeing just how sincerely hurt and dumbfounded Neal was by Rainn's first (frankly, unkind) comment about his appearance, that he would make a SECOND comment, though he probably thought that including himself for disparagement would soften the blow. Second, I would really encourage Rainn to deeply consider how he often interrupts and talks over his guests. There were several times in this interview where both of them were doing their best to share a thought and, though I may be mistaken, it seemed that Rainn would not take a step back and let Neal, his guest, finish his thought. He just kept hammering away until Neal gave up and let Rainn speak. I certainly appreciate that Rainn feels passionately about the thoughts he wants to share in these moments but, given that the subject matter of this channel will, most likely, continue to drill down on these same subjects, I am certain whatever intelligent thoughts Rainn had to share in those moments will wait until the same subject matter comes again. Remember, you'll get to speak each and every episode, Rainn, but your guests will only have an opportunity while they've been welcomed into your home. All the best to all of you.

@WillToNihilsm then that's not for you. Easy. That's all you need to take away from it.

@@bstring7773 it's just your brain being influenced by a drug to make you feel and see things. Nothing more.

@@WillToNihilsm...or a dream? Both created by one's unconscious, and thus begging integration. Not easy, but as it's one's mind, which creates one's reality, it's important to the experiencer, imo.

Do what works for you. In my opinion, a lot of us need to hydrate better. Get your electrolytes people. And sunshine and nature and socializing. If you need medication take it, it Definitely saves lives. Whiskey helps too lol for some of us.

its the same reason why the Boondocks was such a work of art, that dropped off after Aaron McGruder didn't put his hand on every episode. the show wouldn't have been as good. it's not their baby.

I was a Christian for nearly thirty years, until something happened last year and I just could no longer believe. I still feel like I’m on a spiritual journey, but I just can’t believe in an interventionist “god” anymore. No god swooped down and rescued me during my three decades of faith. I highly doubt it’s going to happen now
