It’s probably easier to finish up that Mahoraga keyframe. Remember that they was almost out the budget at that same episode. (Like literally, no joke). Most of the finish up artist in the studio quits, and maybe it was too much job for the tiny bits of worker they have left at the studio. And Vincent’s keyframe are one hell of a job. Couldn’t blame the producers, composers and animators. Blame the studio for their underpaid and overworked stuff.
Well atleast Arifumi Imai which objectively better animator(no offense to Mr. Vincent) has a chance although i'd rather not have the guy to participate if the schedule are still going to be f*cked up

@@twistedrat6793 Concept art is art used to conceptualize a vision and guide the rest of somethings development. This Genga is part of the final product, it's an actual cut that is in the anime, so it isn't really concept art to my knowledge. I may be wrong but that's how I view it.
@@yungtux8770 There are an undetermined number of cuts that have not been finalised even in genga format and therefore they are not on sakugabooru, for example it is certain that the cut Weilin Zhang should have been longer but in the full version this cut lasts for seven seconds, the timing of this episode in general should have been more than 24 minutes, that's how ambitious this episode was.

Idk for sure how it’s gonna work, but it will be interesting to see.

Even the bunch of cars getting dragged looked off But I have to disagree with season 1 having better compositing. Some characters looked really out of place in certain scenes. Nanami vs Mahito had really bad compositing. Background textures looked horrible. Todo & Yuji vs Hanami also had issues. There was also one weird cut where Maki jumps into a forest and looks like she's floating. There's also the digital effects on Gojo's Hollow purple representation. Some of those issues do appear in the later episodes of S2 yet I'd say overall season 2 has big improvements. The clean and minimalist compositing complements the more kagenashi approach. For a post-production that probably took place last minute I'm surprised we could see stuff like- Buildings turning on and off everytime they got destroyed in Episode 16 of S2. Even the smoke and explosions mesh well The effects applied on Gojo crushing Hanami. As well as the light flickering for dramatic effect (probably thanks to Gosso) Some small bits like lights on the rooftop interacting in a few cuts when Ino fought fake Toji.

There was no place in the original episode where that whole scene could've fit in, no scene had them duking it out in a train station. Besides, after the Bluray release you have your answer. Mahoraga was doing flips because he got sent flying by the plane wing Sukuna hit him with, they had to follow up with the plane scene somehow. Also Vincent drew Mahoraga as... Mahoraga. What do you want him to look like???
