Our 30 minute Catholic Mass today is broadcast from the Basilica’s Crypt Church and is celebrated by priests from the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington, featuring sacred liturgical music with a Cantor & Organist from the Choir of The Basilica. The Christmas Mass and the Easter Mass are special one-hour broadcasts celebrated annually by the bishops of the Archdiocese of Washington and the Diocese of Arlington.
Our mission is to bring the blessings of Jesus Christ’s presence and love, through The Sunday TV Mass, to the sick and those unable to leave their homes. Not sure how the Mass for the Solemnity of Pentecost can be celebrated before the Solemnity of Pentecost, as this video was posted on May 17th.
We post this Mass on Fridays in order to allow our Diocesan Partners to distribute it to their local affiliates. The Mass is broadcast on TV on Sundays however it is available prior to on UA-cam for this reason. Some use this Mass as a vigil on Saturdays as well
