Hi Caryn! Kensington does seem lovely to live in, having lived in 3 towns of about 20k people I can say that odds are high of this town having some of that "small town feel" which is quite a culture shock coming from a major metro area, people are just generally nicer and try their hardest tomake you feel wlecome, it is also a very strategic location close to Walter Reed Medical Center which can be a great perk for retired military veterans. Why Kensington? Connecticut Ave is horrible during rush hour. Beach Drive has allot of closures. It’s unpredictable. The homes are to old and small. I prefer Ashton Olney Sandy Spring area. I do agree on the location of Kensington but there is speed camera’s in the area, lol
