Thank you for this. Jumping into SC. Picked up a Gladiator NXT Evo Omni for my left hand and their premium space flght stick for my right. Setting up my keybinding based off your guide here. Curious if you can offer any tweaks and/or additions for bindings for my particular focus. I will be flying the Titan primarily for dogfighting and flight/foot exploration and would love to try and get some version of VR to work. Since I'm going to be in the heasdet, I'd love to avoid having to switch back and forth between K+M and this dual stick setup as much as possible. Is it reasonable to try and do 99% of the game from these dual sticks? (Newbie questions, I'm sure)
Apart from the targeting and weapon firing groups in the video, I'd perhaps consider binding power management (Shields, Weapons, Engines) and Shield facing controls to one of the hats. Personally I used VoiceAttack and HCS for that but it would be handy on hats if you don't make use of those utilities.
No. I only use my sticks for flights and ground vehicles. For everything else I'm mouse and keyboard. Honestly it's best if you create your own keybind scheme as you play. Find yourself reaching for the keyboard repeatedly to do something? Bind a key on the sticks or setup a voice attack action. Ron has his own preferences and adjusts to meet his needs. Moon has his own, Scarred his own, and or.course I have mine.
@@PaganLinuxGeek Okay. Thank you. I'll use yours as a starting point and adjust as needed. I'm brand new to SC do I don't know what I'm missing/need to have for controls in the first place.
@brettcameratraveler we all start somewhere buddy. Take your time and add them as you need them. If you plan to play in VR I'd urge you to consider VoiceAttack. I have an old video that guides you through creating a profile. ua-cam.com/video/MBwDQH-P7VA/v-deo.html
@RickFarris Yes. Just move the desired input when binding. I use a STECs standard. The throttle main is bound to speed limiter, landing gear to one of the throws, and etc.
superheros don't always wear capes hahah thank you PLG!
@@Ph4n_t0m happy to be of help
Very good guide, i have done this many times but its nice to see it visualized
@mb12320 thanks for the comment I appreciate it
Sweet, I may dive in soon. Maybe right before SQ.
Nicely done Pagan.
Are the transitions too much?
I think they're fine.
Thanks Pagan :)
@@tj_chaos609 you're very welcome

@PaganLinuxGeek Thank you so much. So you feel you can play 99% of Star Citizen without a mouse and keyboard with that resulting dual joysticks setup?
No. I only use my sticks for flights and ground vehicles. For everything else I'm mouse and keyboard. Honestly it's best if you create your own keybind scheme as you play. Hello good sir, how do i set the Throttle to be used as an Absolute device instead of the default Relative one?
nevermind, i entered cruise mode and it basically turned the throttle into relative mode
I'd expect lots of keybind changes in the upcoming releases. Yogi stated they are adjusting master modes.
Is there anyway to connect two joysticks AND a throttle?
@RickFarris Yes. Just move the desired input when binding. I use a STECs standard. The throttle main is bound to speed limiter, landing gear to one of the throws, and etc.
