Omg.. the relaxer did her so much justice cause her hair looked a little dull and lifeless prior to relaxing. The finished look is bomb😍😍😍. Also thank you for pointing out that the relaxer can cause burning no matter if someone scratched their scalp because I used to argue with my former stylist about this all the time. She’d accuse me of scratching when I told her to wash the relaxer before it was time to out because of the burning and she’d be mad because my hair was under processed. I would never scratch my scalp for the week prior to going to get my relaxer, she never based my scalp either🙄.

The care and thought you put into your clients hair is awesome to see. Healthy hair can be relaxed or natural as long as maintenance is done to it. Beautiful work 👌

Aquarius 83 It’s been a while since I’ve sat in a hairstylist’s chair. My stylist relaxed my hair and it grew. But I had gotten away from going to the salon and started doing my own hair and later progressed to wearing wigs. I thank God for You Crystal. I am learning so much about hair care and am going to go back to the salon to get relaxed and to get my strands healthy again. Am interested in trying your elixir for traction alepecia and the hair skin and nails vitamins too.

Her hair looks great! I went back to a relaxer this year and I wish I had done it sooner. I seem to have found the right stylists who takes time with my hair. I LOVE IT AND THE STRESS IS GONE. Best decision I've made this year!!!

Relaxer and colour on the same day? That's a first for me. Her hair was truly shiny and I imagine feeling soft too. She's one lucky and happy lady. Thanks for showing. 🖤 21.9.19

I went to a stylist here in Georgia about 4 years ago to get a virgin relaxer. My hair was bra strap. All in about 3 weeks my hair was shedding and it eventually broke off to my new growth. I ended doing a big chop. Natural every since, scared to try again

@@googleuser9266 Mines 4b/c as well our hair type should be strong for relaxers because how thick it is. The hairdresser that relaxed your hair must of didn't do a good job washing all the relaxer out. After you wash all the relaxer out of your hair I recommend rinsing at least about 6 times to make sure all the residue is out because if left in will cause hair breakage!!!😁😁😁

Hey Crystal, for hair that is relaxer resistant, do you recommend using a super relaxer
Or is it best to use a mild one and leave it on for longer??
Whenever I relax my hair, it looks straight … but a week later , it’s almost as if it starts reverting

    • @bluebird1694

Permanent color- no. Demi/Semi is fine because the pH is lower, so the cuticles aren't roughed up after processing, hence the shine.

To the "professionals" here on youtube, this is what a virgin relax should look like. Not some parts done and some parts not, not roots done and ends not etc. I have seen so many people doing virgin relaxes on here and the hair is usually underprocessed and only partly done and then they use the flat iron to make it look straight. Naw, that's crap

This looks so good! U r a great hairstylist! I would have to disagree with that one. But everybody has their own opinion so I respect it. I believe everyone looks dame good with their own God given hair texture. God wouldn’t have given it to u if it didn’t look rite on u. How u decide to wear it is up to u. Either way natural or relaxed ppl look amazing! Just gotta learn wat works for your natural hair. I love this channel doe. 😍 It’s so interesting!🧐

It's probably a product used to create a barrier between the client's scalp and the relaxer. For instance, I've used hair grease and shea butter prior to self-relaxing. Hope it helps. :)
