  • Seeking Minimalism - Part 2: The Exterior Process
Welcome to my messy process towards obtaining a minimal lifestyle. Although it would be amazing to jump into the idealistic and aesthetically pleasing lifestyle of a minimalist - My message is more so about the process - the messy not so easy process in LETTING GO. The process in releasing and becoming more aware about the way I am living today. My objective to all my videos is to hopefully inspire you to come back to you. Something I realized is that whenever we feel lost. stuck or confused is because we’re putting too much focus on other people’s path than looking at our own.

I am slowly changing my lifestyle, maybe its because I am older or because I became a mother...but I really started to see that buying new stuff (no matter what it is - clothes, make up, furniture) will not make me happy. Before I was kinda obsessed with Instagram, seeing all these girls with a tone of new clothes and stuff like every other day...now I see it and I feel sorry for them...because it is soo shallow, there is so much more in life than obsessing over looks and seeking constant validation with likes. Your way of living bring much more peace, and that is all that matters, at least for me. Thank you very much for your video. Such inspiration.

Ann Le something make us a consumer society. but we wake up and realize that possessing things will not make us truly happy. we forgot about happiness in small things, about nature, how the grass smells in the morning, like a beautiful snowflake that has fallen on the palm. what a warm and sweet sun ... we just went into the virtual world and the world (I want want want this, I want it)

I was going through my subscriptions and unsubscribing the ones that no longer interest me and I came upon your channel and started listening to this series and I decided to turn on the notifications and keep this channel. I love the perspective that you have on life and feel inspired to be more free to grow and be 😊

I just got rid of so many plates and bowls! I kept 2 of each because I live alone. The mugs and glasses are harder to part from but I managed to get it down to six mugs, two large tea mugs and six glasses 👍 My ideal is 4 mugs and 4 glasses but I’m only keeping the ones that bring me joy so I think I did fine 😊

I liked what you were saying about minimalism becoming more of an aesthetic thing. I’ve always felt like iffy on minimalism because like one hand, it looks so nice and less messy but also seems like it gets sort of unpractical and feels very empty. Empty like the furniture and decoration aren’t personal, like your house becomes a museum of nice things that hold no meaning to you. I like your idea of essentialism being more about what is necessary for you in that moment, not necessarily about having the least amount of things. Minimalism has felt very shallow to me because a lot of people only focus on the material possessions aspect and don’t think about applying these ideas to other aspects of life. But I like this idea about applying it to how I live life, not only for like objects.

Love everything you shared! 💕🙏 I think that’s what happens when something becomes more well known, it’s so easy to be misconstrued through peoples interpretations. I think that it was really created with good intent but then the trendy crowd made into something else. 😆

I have been watching you for a while and I have to say it was so interesting how you explained and show a different view of Instagram (givers, takers). It was very helpful to understand how we can view others. Have you read a book about this? Great video!

I always loved your videos and how thoughtful it was and the maturity of it. I am sure you came to that part of your life that when things doesn't matter anymore. I started to shift my view as well and try to live a better life and declutter our "things". It is hard to do but manageable. I enjoyed the video and definitely that was something to think about. 🤗❤

Unwoke mortals, indeed. I don't say that from a place of superior enlightenment, but from a place of "oh, I am so sad for you, still chasing...whatever." This life change thing is tough work, but so worth it.
